Murat Şen i think we’ve tried so many times to get them to make actual builds and they’ve never really delivered so it’s clear they don’t have much of an intention to build better things. They also have object/pack/budget restrictions as well (even though that’s not really an excuse) . i suppose there’s always plenty of amazing builds on the gallery though if building isn’t your thing and some of the builds in the eco living pack are genuinely nice for once

Dude, I’m with her too! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to alt place a window even though I know it won’t work.

I like the apartments thing. Apartments aren't just in cities... I've lived in cities, towns, villages and there's always some form of apartment living. The home ownership rate in the U.S. is like 65% I think so there's a huge rental market out there that should be represented in the game :)

65% ?! 😳 In Germany there are only 46% who aren't renting their home and many people buy apartments and not houses.

Looks like Paralives is having an effect on EA, I am all for it, if Paralives can provide competition than the Sims team will put out for better material, super happy about the new sliding and placement features of the windows and doors.

@@steinistein8611 I would kill to live in NYC. It's a cultural center with some of the best theaters, restaurants, museums in the world, and beautifuly multi-cultural. Personally, it's people who live in shitholes just to have a lot of space that I don't understand. Materialism is the opposite of culture.

@@audreym859 but that sounds so romanticised. Yes there is a lot of culture, but also smog, high criminal and murder rates, poverty, drugs, corruption, bad health care, high rents... It's a city for rich people and people who want to be part of it so bad that they will live in a 5m² apartment for an absurd amount of rent on a tiny wage... I think you can easily lose yourself there in the worst way. I think it's really cool to visit for a few weeks, but I wouldn't want to actually live there. And I never said I'd live in a sh#thole to have lots of space. I'd just prefer a safer city where I can actually afford a room with warm water...

I didn't think you necessarily were that kind of person since I don't know you,, but I know plenty of people who are, which is why I mentioned them. I've never lived in NYC, but I used to live in Chicago (worse than NYC when it comes to crime) and London which have both the good and the bad that you mentioned, and thought it was totally worth it. Similarly, I grew up in a peaceful suburb with tons of space, and I now reside in fairly-safe-but-oh-so-boring Dublin, in my opinion, none of these positive elements are worth it.

Honestly, I was kind of hesitant about this pack, I really didn't expect much - though I thought it was unwise of so many people to rip into it before seeing anything really...however: the first look already changed my outlook on this, I'm now actually looking forward to getting my hands on it too It gives me the impression the sims-team was really looking forward to this release and they probably expected a very positive reaction, which, makes me feel pretty bad for all the early backlash...

If you read the critiques you will see a lot of people are complaining about things EA has done in the past. Again our expectations are so low that we’re floored we are actually getting decent amount of content. This does not erase the past and this does not mean the sims doesn’t have core issues it still needs to work on and has yet to in 6 years. But I hope this means that EA is finally listening to the community-but that would have never happened if we just stayed like quiet good little consumers and never rocked the boat.

@@Ella-by9yk If you keep Alt while placing any object, you can put it whenever you want precisely You couldn't do it with doors and windows, which was sooo annoying if you have the "I want everything to be centered/aligned/symmetrical" syndrom I recommend you check a video of LilSimsie which is called : "How to Build a House in The Sims 4 (Builder's Bible: Building Tutorial) " From 1 year ago ! And if you're really into improving your building skill, check : "How to Roof in Sims 4 - Tips & Tricks " by James Turner from 1 year ago too This will give you all the informations you need, I would recommend writing some stuff down !

Carlicia Powell oh my god i completely forgot that we used to not have toddlers. I remember I went on sims one day and that little pop up came on saying toddlers and I was like oh my god !!

I was hesitant with a positive feeling about this app ack when the trailer came out. Then the gameplay trailer came out I I felt even better about the pack. THEN Kayla uploaded this and I haven’t even finished and I am already IN LOVE with this pack!!!

now that i'm seeing more, i wanna buy it yes there's still updates i'd love but this is good. i live in an city in good old georgia and it was built during that industrial boom and the area with a negative footprint reminds me so much of my home. there's so many 18-1900's industrial buildings and the train station especially made me happy

@Ada Guedes I've got something I uploaded to the gallery (an unlicensed nightclub that, in my backstory for it, was made out of discarded shipping containers by Strangerville's teens) that I'll have to rebuild when I can actually make shipping containers. That shipping container look will also be really good for making train cars. I'm working on a total rebuild, and my group of runaway kids need some old boxcars to live in.

im kinda salty they didn't put cars in this one, because it would affect the world so much more, in plumbella's review she put out today she talked about the lack of ways to make the world more industrial, and i feel like cars could've been big in this aspect.

It started from the fallen expectations from when people thought they were gonna get a farming EP and the segwayed into a (let's be honest here) terribly made trailer along with the "official gameplay" video. It didn't look too promising and it seemed like a obvious attempt for a cash grab. After seeing this however, it has gotten me a tiny bit excited

justnobodyhere im so fed up of seeing sims being criticised by the fans, with this pack you can see they tried to give us what we like- the container builds were so popular, the diy/making stuff is too shown by people wanting knitting etc but they just can’t win

I actually really want this ep now. I was kind of neutral when the trailer came out, I thought it was a cool concept but was kinda cautious because it’s EA, we know the drill, but this genuinely seems like a really cool pack. I want it.

I’m actually so excited for this expansion pack to come out, I feel like it would be fun to see a world transform. Plus the container homes are so cute

I love this! I love that world, it looks so cool. And I love the community spaces, it is cool that you have 4 builds in one lot! The community lot space is my favorite, but I also really love the apartments and the shipping container lots. So, so cool! The look of this EP is absolutely amazing. I wasn't sold on it until I saw it, but its so relevant to real life right now in a lot of places!

There is a lot of information and we saw the comunnity system, the machines, the traits, aspirations, skills and more. I could be wrong when this comes out, but all we've seen until now is quite good.
