Love the idea of rereading every 6 months! Love it!

I have read a ton on investing, but after reading his book, I use his principles almost exclusively. It’s worked out tremendously for our household

Great advice. Sometimes simple is the best way to invest. It took me 55 years to finally realize that. I find it funny how they say sometimes the best invested is a dead person because they don’t touch there investments. Max out the index and DONT TOUCH IT!!!!

I'm a Real Estate guy and I just started in the stock market. I bought all of the ARK funds instead of VTSAX. We will see if I was smart or not.

Did you notice the expense ratio to the ARK funds, it’s 0.75% compared to VTSAX .06%. That 0.75% will eat into your gains. VTSAX is the better choice

@@49pdiep I didn't, but I did notice that the ARK funds are done a shit ton since I bought them. I'm just going to hope they will outperfom VTSAX (which I also own)

When the (stock) market drops, you rebalance. During accumulation, you should welcome stock market drops as those increase expected future returns.
