Playing with FIRE

Playing with FIRE

What if you could escape the 9-5 grind and create a life of freedom decades ahead of schedule?

At a time when 34% of Americans have zero savings, and average household consumer debt is $16,000, imagine discovering a simple formula to become financially independent decades before you turn 65.

F.I.R.E. is a burgeoning lifestyle, community, and movement where everyday middle-class earners of all backgrounds retire as young as 30 years old to rewrite the script on modern living and pursue their true passions.

Playing with FIRE captures the truths and dispel the myths as it follows experts in the movement and a family who chooses to pursuit Financial Independence and Retire Early.

Vicki's thoughts sound great, but the rich wont pay for it. The middle class wont pay for it. Who will pay for it? Is health care a right? Is that in our Constitution? Wouldn't free stuff, whatever it is, lead us to socialism? Nothing in the world has or ever will be free !!!

I had FU money saved once before I knew what it was. I started to feel the peace knowing I had a year’s worth of expenses saved and I didn’t have to be at work. I made the mistake of spending it on a down payment for some property that’s been a money pit. I’m about to sell a house and down size big time. I’ll have my FU money saved again.

Boy oh boy! Do I agree with everything you are saying? Great words, bro. If your FIRE doesn't work, just go back to "normal life" as your neighbor and probably 90% of people are doing.

"Work until you're 65" is old news. I've talked to people who said Social Security told them they need to work until they're 68 before they can get their full retirement benefits. If you're not doing FIRE, what's stopping you? The typical American has so many health problems - if they live that long - that they can't enjoy their "Golden Years," once they finally arrive. Enjoy your life now, while you can; tomorrow isn't promised to any of us.

It depends. The geographic location and the interest rate is crucial for real estate investment. Someone could quickly dig a first gold using mortgage leverage ten or twenty years ago in the places like Vancouver or Sydney. Good property investment is an asset not a debt.

So how exactly can we guard against the coming financial reset for 2024? Like what are really the best strategies to make our portfolio recession proof against the incoming financial reset? I'm very worried about my $110k stock portfolio.

good advice, but only a few elitist, capitalist are totally free, look at the devalued money, now. I am retired, I drive a 17 yr old highlander and dont have alot of money, but I invest in my health, buy non gmo food, organic and cook 99 % at home. You are right your money is earned through your time, that once gone, is gone.

Money is a complicated subject, not just dollars and cents. If i loan you money , its done on trust, if you repay that money, it gives me my returned money but you have earned more of my Trust! Apart from the reward within yourself of pride, our friendship. If i give you money to you? It is saying that I care for you providing you spend it wisely. Your success is my reward! The opposites are true also! Something to consider.?😊

My wife left me 5 years ago. Instead of fixing everything she broke, cleaning all her mess, having to hear her speak. I now just pay child support. It’s a lot cheaper than to keep her and a lot less headache.

This woman’s ideology is absolutely correct, but the elephant in the room is that nobody makes enough money to save or invest anything. 60% of the American public is living paycheck to paycheck and that is not because they are irresponsible. It is because we have a wealthy class of people and politicians who want to keep it that way.

only a few can truly benefit and liberate themselves in such ways due to many needing to be enslaved to a system. Its a pyramid scheme for a minority. It's not impossible to live back in to balance with the daily cycles of abundance with all that nature provides. If such structures were rebuilt to evolve around the ability to live off of nature's systems together rather than manmade rigid systems that benefit only a few .. 😍
