The Silly Duck Wizard Behind the Scenes (Stop Motion)
Фильм және анимация
Hi there, I'm a wizard, and here is a behind the scenes glimpse at how I turned stuff into ducks.
I shot everything using the stop motion studio at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.
Overall, the whole production took about 300 hours from start to finish.
I shot the entire animation on 1s at 24fps. In total I took 6,240 photos, of which only about 1,800 ended up in the final version (you can watch that here: • The Silly Duck Wizard ... )

Wow, the amount of testing you did in each scene, made this really amazing!

Great!
Very cool. How did you make the magic effect?

The spell blasts are shiny paper I glued beads and gems to. I made quite a lot of them so each frame looked different. I got a string of lights from the dollar store and put one light between his stick and the spell to light it up (you can see the string in those frames).
Damn. Real nice work dude. I found you out on reddit.

:0 so cool! Did you make the puppets yourself? What are they made of?

Thanks! They are made out of dollar store supplies. Styrofoam balls, wire, and felt.

@@smallish1632 Well that is nice to hear! Besides the studio equipment (I rented the studio), I think I spent ~$50 on making everything (wizard ducks, effects)
