Next on the list. Great video! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks! Also helped me in my decision to buy it. I like the comparison between the lenses! That's a good idea.
love the review 👍
loved the video 😋, one question though...is it sharper than the canon 50mm f1.8 ?
This lens was designed for the Sigma sd Quattro and sd Quattro H, Foveon cameras which outresolve full frame cameras with ~40MP pixel count. There probably is no better zoom lens for APS sized cameras.
Great review!!
How would the crop of a Black Magic Pocket 6k Pro work with this lens?
Hi. Do you think this produces better quality and sharper images than the Canon 50mm f1.8?
Please I hope you can answer me.. I have two lenses from this category Sigma 50 _1.4 Sigma 18_35 Which is better for photographing dates and some foodstuffs? Do you recommend another lens? Thank you
Have you noticed any inconsistency during focusing? Like back focusing? I know, you said that it's very good, but many other sources say that sigma lenses have a back focusing issue on DSLRs. That is less of an issue on mirroless bodies, as I have heard from others.

Yup that autofocus hunting is a nightmare, the thing just can't focus unless you take time and manually focus.

You will probably will be perfectly fine with new modern apsc cameras like the eos-m and rf systems

It's a third-party lens, at the end of the day, so it would be a good idea to fork out a little more to buy the Sigma dock. I have an excellent Tamron macro lens (90mm SP 2.8) which was front focusing slightly on my Canon 90D. When I bought it from Adorama, they threw in the Tamron equivalent for free, and I was able to fix the focusing problem without too much trouble. I think that when we buy third-party lenses, autofocusing adjustments are just one of those things that you have to deal with.
I bought it today and i will go back to the shop with it. It s great but too HAVYYYY for my d5600

How is it performing with the D5600?

@@apurv_kumar it was too havy (for me). And i had already a nikon 18-140 and the 18 sigma was shorter than my nikon. My nikon was wider. .. so back to the shop. I wanted a wide Lens for auroras. At the end i fond a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 lighter for me.
👍👍👍👍👍

You’re the first person I’ve heard call this lens quiet lol
9/10 for build and quality with no weather seal 🤦🏽
Who cares about the weight? Quality overrules weight, after all we are men and less than a kilo I couldn’t care less. I would have give it a higher rating for weight.
Please stop saying "I must say" so much, if I drank a shot every time you said it I'd die from alcohol poisoning, also you didn't mention the severe chromatic aberration at the corners at 18mm
