I came across Sifchain because I invest in & follow Legacy Network, a Layer 1 blockchain project. They were announced as an asset to receive 300% APR in Sifchain liquidity pools, and with numbers that high, I had to take a look.
Sifchain is a decentralized exchange, or DEX, and the first omni-chain dex. This means that unlike most DEXes, which only allow you to swap between assets on a single blockchain, such as Uniswap with ethereum and erc-20 tokens, Sifchain allows you to swap between assets on multiple different blockchains.
Their liquidity mining program pays over 300% APR on crypto assets - and that’s on top of the swap fees liquidity providers are already earning. This is a limited time program that is designed to incentivize users to add liquidity to the Sifchain DEX. While this program is active, there will be 6 token pairings that offer 300% APR. One will be the ROWAN/ATOM pairing, and the other 5 will be voted on by the community monthly - this is how legacy network got added to the 300% APR program. The current program runs until January 17th, and includes pairings with ATOM, ROWAN, ETH, JUNO, LUNA and ZCX. All other token pools earn 100% APR throughout the program, which could be extended past the 17th, if voted by the community.
The important thing to note here is that this 300% APR is paid out in ROWAN token on a weekly basis. While it’s unclear how long it will last, if you continued adding your weekly rewards into the liquidity pool at the 300% APR rate, you would see over 1,700% APY for the year.
Another very important detail is that most of these rewards are likely coming from inflation, or the creation of new ROWAN tokens. While Sifchain hopes to use a number of sources to provide these rates, they will resort to token creation if needed. An increasing supply is not necessarily a good thing, as it will dilute the value of the Rowan token over time.

Thanks for the video! As someone who sees great future on sifchain, I've been putting my Erowan onto regular defi on sifchain, not on the 300% LP pool so if the price of Erowan goes up, I won't loose any number of my erowans but keep accumulating them. However I still get 123% interest. Great project! 👍 👍 👍

Hi Tyler :) I just entered Sifchain by watching your video. I have a few questions, and it would be nice if you can answer them. 1. Is sifchain legit and still good investment? I want to know your thought. 2. If I decided to enter Sifchain, should I stake? or be LP provider? What would be more profitable. 3. If there is another yield farm that you might recommend other than Sif chain, that would be great also. :) Always thank you for great videos !

Hey Jake! 1. I believe Sifchain is legit - check out their Discord and you can chat with the team and see how active they are. 2. Staking currently has ~130% APR, while LPing has about 140% with pools of the people. LPing is technically more profitable but opens you up to impermanent loss. Staking has no IL. 3. I have no other recommendations, Sifchain is the only DEX I'm active on! I do stake a few other coins in the Cosmos ecosystem, but not sure about yield farming.

Not a stupid question! Correct, you get rewards paid out weekly on Tuesdays - but they are calculated & accumulated every hour based on the value of your pooled assets.

@@ValueForInvestors Is it close mindedness to do my own due diligence after seeing number like 300% or 1100% APR? Those are not normal values to see when investing and should set off anyone's BS meter and warrant more research, even if they turn out to be correct. The products you're pushing now are incredibly risky and it's really disheartening to see you pushing things that most people will just end up losing money on without adequately addressing the risks. That isn't the case of everything you've covered recently, but there has certainly been a noticeable increase in the number of questionable videos you've released in the past few months. Using a service like Celsius is in a whole different league from liquidity mining on a DEX. A lot of altcoins are scams, plain and simple, and without serious due diligence people are going to lose their money trying to emulate you. DeFi is the future and I actively use DEX's myself, but only after trying to look at the associated risks and understanding them in their full context.

@@fostroggalf the numbers are certainly high - which is why I wanted to understand it. It's just a short-term promotion to incentivize adding liquidity. Beyond Sifchain, I'm just striving towards transparency. I am putting my money here regardless. Should I keep it to myself? I think it's interesting, so I decided to share it - and I did highlight the risks involved. I'm not pushing anyone to use this, but I've found it to be legitimate and I'm enjoying experimenting on it. I can understand where you're coming from, but I've been transparent in my own research and positions (and sponsorships when applicable, but this is not one of those situations).
