Great review. This series does sound interesting. I'm a bit hesitant to read K.J. Parker as I've been told he writes character driven stories. But everyone keeps saying interesting things about his books, so I'm just leaving him in the bottom of my TBR list. 😊 Some one told me I should start with The Folding Knife to see if I like his writing.🤷‍♀Your review makes me want to go into it with the lowest expectations.☺

Thank you!!! 🙏 they are very character driven stories so if that’s not your vibe I’m not sure they’d be for you. The books are interesting but there were too many issues for me to think well of them sadly! Let me know what you think if/when you get to them!

Sixteen Ways made me feel so uncomfortable and angry. I had got all three out from the library. I finished Sixteen Ways and took all three straight back.
