You were asked not to record because these guys were selling counterfeit goods which is illegal in the UAE. The designer items are also cheap because they are counterfeit. If police raid the shop while you are in there, you can be charged for trading in counterfeit goods.

I’m not surprised, they were very shifty, I didn’t know you could be charged though

Hey girl, as someone who's grown up in Dubai I would advise you to not talk about the red light district if you're planning on living there, it's quite common to get deported or banned from visiting the country for openly talking about indecent things or painting the country in a bad light. It's not great I know : ( but it's better to be on the safe side.

More like the Bronx, Brooklyn and then Queens. Queens is pretty decent and surpasses both the Bronx and Brooklyn in quality of life. However, Dumbo in Brooklyn is like the new Manhattan. Williamsburg and Park Slope is pretty expensive as well so Brooklyn is taking the lead. Gentrified AF!

I was teaching in Tajikistan and needed sinus surgery and so ended up in Dubai. It was not a destination spot for me, I've always considered it "the mecca of materialism". One of the first things I noticed was that everyone in the service sector was from Nepal, the Phillipines, India, etc. locals were few and far between. I wish I had done more research and known about Deira--it seems culturally more interesting!

You talked about the lady skilled in sewing, that she came to Dubai into a building with sex workers and she does not know anyone, her consulate and embassy is there to take care of her. Just some advice before coming to Dubai contact your consulate or embassy ask them for a mobile number of an embassy worker in case of an emergency, never go inside a residence upon your first arrival. Check into a low cost hotel and do your homework ask to first see the business in operation, ìf they claim to have a tailor shop first go to the tailor shop ask the worker there to contact the owner to confirm you will work there. You couldn't find a taxi because buses are cheap and available. You know that standing could be misinterpreted that you are a prostitute so walk around till your taxi arrives. Stray cats near the entrance of restaurant means that restaurant is feeding them Customer left over.

Bitcoin is on its way to breaking records, getting closer to hitting new high prices, showing that it's gaining more value and could go even higher than we've seen before. This could mean great things for people looking to invest, suggesting now might be a good time to get involved before it jumps even higher. It's an exciting moment that could change the game in general...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.1Blitcoin to a decent 11.4Biitcoin. At the heart of this evolution is Samantha Jack , whose deep understanding of both cryptocurrency and traditional trading has been instrumental. That part of Dubai isn't for us or ex-pats :) not talking about the red light area but old Dubai in general, it's pretty old they haven't done much work on their infrastructure since then, they rapidly changed other infrastructure in other areas in old Dubai or new Dubai hence the rent is cheaper there more or less things aren't flashy or expensive there :) this country is lovely if you look into other aspects of it. And red light area or workers we don't talk much about it glad you showed but in Dubai we don't care.

😩😩😭😭 don’t mention it, I think some cultures really like cats. I’m not sure which but there are other places in Dubai as well that have soooo many cats

Is it true what they say about some women parttaking in dehumanizing activities to live the lavish life in Dubai? I've heard this three times now. Would love to know wether it's true. Then again, people are ready to do anything for money, the decent ones excluded of course.

I wouldn’t know for sure but I would think it’s true, some people are really desperate for money & there are lots of people in Dubai with a lot of money to spend on whatever their desires are
