Also, imagine being so calloused as an older woman that you follow along and watch your p.o.s. boyfriend do this to the young couple and never try to stop him or do the right thing. Insane.

Stop IN to say hello to a friend? If they met online and just chatted on Facebook before that day and would meet in person for the first time that day, just because Facebook calls that "friend" does not really mean you are yet friends and we get that old lesson that meeting someone in person for the first time better and safer not be in their home. And before visiting a new friend at their home, we better have some more idea of who they live with, be it boyfriend/girlfriend, mate, or family, and what their attitude would be on the visit.

I’m sorry you lost your friend Breezy. It’s a heartbreaking story. It is maddening and unfortunate that the evil blob of flesh jerad, and his pos accomplice, Morgan, weren’t given the same treatment they perpetrated on those two beautiful young adults Breezy and Riley. The death penalty was created for malignant killers like jerad. It is disgusting that morgan was not arrested and jailed for a long time. During her testimony she did not seem affected one bit by the violent and tragic deaths of Riley and Breezy.

As someone who lives in the Hellscape known as Utah I’m disturbed at the thought of Morgan walking free! I don’t buy her “babe in the woods” version of events. How did 2 young kids stopping by to have a puff end up dead in the bottom of a mineshaft? The problem, especially in this case was the teenagers liked a puff of weed, which lead to bad company and a monster.

I go back in time ahold these two souls as this monster takes life from them. I hold them in their fear and replace it with peace and serenity. My heart is in sadness as I hear this tragedy. Thank you like for your time and approach, Mike. "No biggie" is the best I have ever heard.

Seems kinda cold. Circumstance can play a part, fearing for yours or your loved ones safety comes to mind. We're only human besides, not everyone can have strength, or survival skills to keep you from winding up in a similar situation. My point is, victims don't plan to become victims, you can still have your retribution, but that shouldn't keep us from practicing empathy from time to time. If I'd have gone through a similar situation to this case, I can't guarantee I'd be able to find much empathy either. Sorry for hijacking your comment just thought I'd share some perspective.

@Fitz The problem is the police aren't with you 24-7 and if you start telling stories once the cops have what they need your on your own and alot of guys like this have many "friends" willing to retaliate for them so its not always that easy. You never heard the saying when seconds matter the cops are minutes away?

I'm sorry for your loss, I hope your husband didn't suffer. Don't listen to other's who just want to be downies, if Mike is one of your coping mechanisms then keep watching, whatever helps you get through this minute so you can face the next minute. It only has to work for you, besides I'm not going through so much as a hiccup compared to you, but I find myself getting a little excited as he starts his end run, and for some strange reason even though I wink and say it at the same time as Mike "coz I love ya" I actually feel a little bit shy simply because I can tell he is feeling a tad shy when he says it still, even after all this time. Anyways I hope you have a good support system around you, 1 minute at a time, 1 step at a time and 2 "because I love ya" Mike's per week. Xx

Personally, I never know which cases hit me the hardest, but imagining the final moments of these poor kids really got me going. I'm glad I never miss a second of these videos cause 'SNAP SNAP!' was the perfect comic relief and my reaction to it matched Mike's perfectly. Love you too, Mike!

100% agreed. Someone in another video suggested that there be a best of reel for his jokes and I for one would LOVE to see one. If I knew how to do it any justice, I'd give it a go! :P

For someone who witnessed such a brutal act and to have absolutely no emotion on the stand... Has me scratching my head in wonder.

The majority of the time when I hear a KZread content creator say "thank you" or something to that effect I don't believe them. Mike on the other hand seems very genuine. Thank you for all the stories Mike. I think I have listened to all of them. (Even the captain foil hat one's)

I cannot believe that he was released in the first place. If he had been kept in prison, this horrible heinous awful crime would not have happened and those poor kids would still be alive today. May they RIP. Condolences to their family and friends. Love your channel Mike. You are awesome💙

Love your jokes, with such dark content the jokes bring some very welcome relief. Love the way you present these, often, extremely difficult to hear stories. Some KZreadrs are so wooden it’s wonder they’re not a fire hazard but you make these stories come alive, so the jokes are really needed. Thank you for what you do.

This hurt exceptionally bad. I don’t know if it was the young couple- the dreams of “Breezy” and “Riley,” and the horrific waste of such beautiful life’s that could have been. Tears shed for each.

Mike your bad jokes your humor and sarcasm are what makes these gruesome stories a little bit more bearable ❤️

These acts of violence are horrendous and my heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims. I do have to say Mike, I so enjoy your humor and the way you describe these types of stories.

Apparently she had dated Riley, who was only 18. It feels like she lured sheep to slaughter, having her ex over after seemingly agreeing with her current boyfriend to not have male friends.

Your storytelling helps me take my mind off of the stresses in my life and honestly helps me realize that things can be much worse and that life is beautiful. My wife grew up in that area and we currently live about an hour north of Eureka. We also love to go 4 wheeling in our Jeep and are very familiar with this area. There are literally hundreds, thousands of old mines! Most of the bigger one’s are capped off now but many are big enough to toss a body down. If it wasn’t for that gal getting pulled over and telling the cops they’d still be in that hole I’m afraid. Great show Mike! 👍

Never wait if you feel someone has gone missing. Waiting three days is a myth. Call and start searching. The more time goes by the less chance of finding them safely.

Yes, and if the police blow you off, keep calling different resources/political people/the news/etc.The police aren't the only people you can call. Somebody will listen, keep trying. I've never had to go through this, but I do know the police often blow people off and think it is nothing (esp with drug, transient, or runaway histories).

Just to clarify, and I feel safe speaking for others here, we love your jokes!

At the end you remark about how your surprise that people still tune in to follow you. The old saying just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm not being followed. Videos like this remind us that predators are around us every day and all it takes is one wrong turn or one bad decision and you're a memory. KZread's like yours remind us that the wolf does smile when he sizing you up for dinner I hope more people watch it and wake up.

Yet another failure of the justice system. I seem to write this on every video damn near. Had he not been given plea deals for his previous crimes and actually had to face the consequences of his actions, perhaps he wouldn't have been able to commit this horrific crime. The fact that he isn't being sentenced to death is just another disgrace. He should never set foot outside of another prison at a minimum.

I disappeared for 6 months.. no contact with any family. Stopped using social media and no one tried to find me

It's a lot easier to convict when the death penalty is off the table, and there's no automatic appeal. IMnsHO, it's better to just put him in prison and let him rot there. The death penalty is sure an easier way out.
