Gordon's been beat. He got beat by Vinny Magalhaes FFS. He's amazing, clearly, but his record is nothing that hasn't been done before. Roger, Rafa Mendes, Bruno Malfacine, and Mikey's records are easily equally impressive, but for whatever reason they don't have the legions of d-riders and white knights Gordon's cultivated for himself over the years.

@@rosstrent1877 Lol people are dumb af. Every grappler posts 10-20hrs worth of their best content out now and people actually think if they learn it they will be as good as them. Its the perfect money grab. They are confident showing their best techniques full well knowing the people learning don't train 30hrs a week on the matts on top of it. + the talent and top coaching they get. Someone culd suddenly have every piece of technical knowledge from instructionals and get destroyed by a purple belt

Gordon and Bernardo thanks for this
Always great content! Thank you!
i Love how Bernardo says "Guerdon".
What a time we're living in in several respects, this is one of the good ones. I so much appreciate your channel (and Gordon in this case for sharing ) so much insight. - Blessings to you both
I love using this sweep!
Fantastic step by step instruction on this technique by Gordon. Awesome!
Thank you! 🙏
Thank you professor
This is amazing and so clear cut it's like 50 moves and he does them with such artistry 😍
Wow thank you sir landed this twice today rolling. Amazing
This is an awesome sweep. I've been hitting this pretty consistently since watching this video.
Thank you guys very technical stuff...professor Gordon Ryan very good instructor
Great minor/MAJOR detail!!!
Love this sweep!!!
This is awesome that you guys are sharing these techniques. The cool thing is you show moves. That we already know work really well. Because we see you doing them in matches. Against high level good opponents. So if it works on them it will work on anyone. If you get good at them. These are the best break downs. With all the details and steps. Explained to were its easy to understand. I think Garcia did this same sweep against Pablo Popovich.
Show de aula 💪 parabéns 🇧🇷
Gordon is the GOAT technician, yeah yeah yeah. Bernardo, you are earning your coral. You give us amazing content, for free. You are spreading knowledge all over the world. You are exemplary in bjj and youtube. We thank you so much.
Awsome and Ingenious as is costumary with Gordon Ryan .
I hit this during open mat yesterday, but ended up allowing my partner to reguard. These details are golden

Thanks G man
Thanks for this. I've been trying this sweep after watching videos of Gordon but it's great to have the details that make it really work OSSSSSSSS
He´s pretty good explaining things too.
Amazing
The little details here are outstanding. Gordon really understands the game at an incredible technical level and can perform at the highest level. Hes still so young into his journey. You can see he had the potential to surpass danaher as a coach

I tried setting this up from butterfly tonight, the guy didn’t let me. But I got it in guard, and was able to get it there, then get a hook in. Love it

bernardo where did you get your mats from? They are amazing.
When I transitioned from Judo to BJJ 20 years ago the uninitiated would scoff dismissively at how Judo in the U.S. traditionally referenced techniques in Japanese terms. The only term I ever heard in BJJ at the time was “Uchi-Mata” which was usually poorly taught. I guess Danaher pays homage to the practice of Japanese anatomical terms and its all well and cool now.
@callumthejudo696
4 жыл бұрын
I think that's the way it's supposed to be I myself am judoka and treated it as a martial art so I actively wanted to learn all the vocabulary once I made the transition to bjj it made learning much more difficult having to go over and learn all over again. I think understanding all the terms makes you a better teacher when the time comes and as a martial artist we should know the correct terms to all of our techniques. And in a fight it could be win or lose nothing worse then two English guys screaming techniques
@killgoretrout6162

Agreed. Also, notice how the Danaher technique is using the tori's reaction to make the sweep easier. Judo 101.

Danaher is studied in the history of jujutsu. He knows about the traveling Japanese jujutsu masters so I think that’s why he uses the Japanese term to pay tribute to the pioneers of the game of submission
