Gordon's been beat. He got beat by Vinny Magalhaes FFS. He's amazing, clearly, but his record is nothing that hasn't been done before. Roger, Rafa Mendes, Bruno Malfacine, and Mikey's records are easily equally impressive, but for whatever reason they don't have the legions of d-riders and white knights Gordon's cultivated for himself over the years.

@@rosstrent1877 Lol people are dumb af. Every grappler posts 10-20hrs worth of their best content out now and people actually think if they learn it they will be as good as them. Its the perfect money grab. They are confident showing their best techniques full well knowing the people learning don't train 30hrs a week on the matts on top of it. + the talent and top coaching they get. Someone culd suddenly have every piece of technical knowledge from instructionals and get destroyed by a purple belt

Against high level good opponents. So if it works on them it will work on anyone. If you get good at them. These are the best break downs. With all the details and steps. Explained to were its easy to understand. I think Garcia did this same sweep against Pablo Popovich.

When I transitioned from Judo to BJJ 20 years ago the uninitiated would scoff dismissively at how Judo in the U.S. traditionally referenced techniques in Japanese terms. The only term I ever heard in BJJ at the time was “Uchi-Mata” which was usually poorly taught. I guess Danaher pays homage to the practice of Japanese anatomical terms and its all well and cool now.

I think that's the way it's supposed to be I myself am judoka and treated it as a martial art so I actively wanted to learn all the vocabulary once I made the transition to bjj it made learning much more difficult having to go over and learn all over again. I think understanding all the terms makes you a better teacher when the time comes and as a martial artist we should know the correct terms to all of our techniques. And in a fight it could be win or lose nothing worse then two English guys screaming techniques
