With Shooting Show regular David Virtue as our host, we have not one but two morning flights of geese in store. For the first, we get all old-fashioned for the second week running as we see how a man with a century-old muzzleloader fares on geese. Then on day two we do things the orthodox way with breech-loaders, and take the chance to experiment with several kinds of decoy. It's fast-flying, goose shooting success experienced in a number of ways.
Down south, Paul Childerley has a stalking guest with distinction: NGO vice-chairman Geoff Garrod. It's two gamekeepers out on a foot-stalk, with a Chinese water deer buck the intended quarry. Geoff has previously stuck to the high seats and has never before been on a guided stalk, so we're eager to see how the shooting supremo gets on on foot.
And as today is Armistice Day, we end the show by remembering those British and Commonwealth forces who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Econchino: The new Scottish legislation differs from that in place in England and Wales. It follows a habitat-based approach as opposed to a combined species/site restriction. In England and Wales it is illegal to shoot any duck or goose with lead shot, or to use lead shot on a specific published list of SSSIs. In Scotland, shooters will continue to be able to use lead shot to shoot species such as duck, geese, game, pests or clays as long as this does not occur on or over WETLANDS. Duck or geese coming into a dry stubble field, can still be shot with lead. ATB Pete

I Love this video with the Hunter using the old muzzle loader , I have my Grandfathers Old BlackPowder Double from long ago . I would love to shoot it but I know that I cannot but only if it could talk .
