The SHOCKING Truth About Miele C1 Cord
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Diagnosing a Miele Compact C1 S4 that is not running. Full repair!
This little canister came in devoid of signs of life. A little worse for wear, we diagnose it, repair it and clean it until it is ALMOST as good as new. Even the best vacuums can struggle with improper usage, and that appears to have been the case for this little machine. It has a bad cord reel... SHOCKING... get it?

Yup, it has seen more than most vacs would in a couple of lifetimes! Thanks for watching!
Hey man! I work at a vac shop and for drying a vac after washing all the housings, you should look into just taking a central vac motor and adding a hose to the exhaust port so you can use it as a blower. I just spliced a switch into the wires for the power leads so I can flip it on and off at will and quickly blow dry all of my washed parts. Takes about 1-2 minutes to dry everything with no need for any hand drying or potentially burning motors on the shop vacs! As for the carbon dust, I’m sure you know, but try denatured alcohol. That s*** removes EVERYTHING!

That's awesome, thanks for the idea!
Enjoy your videos. When I’m in a hurry & need to dry a machine that I’ve washed, I either use compressed air or the blower exhaust air from my old Lux Model L with a crevice tool to focus the air into a more tight air stream to blow out the tighter areas that hold water. Also to remove carbon buildup I use rubbing alcohol or Windex with ammonia.

@@HouseOfVacuums You’re welcome.
Not knowing the final invoiced cost on this, I’d say ~$200 is a bargain for your labor plus parts. I sincerely hope there’s some significant profit built into the parts cost, as it seems like it’d be difficult to keep the lights on at such prices! Great video 👍🏻

Thanks for the comment! The bill ended up being right around $250, so I think the issue was more so my fuzzy math while filming. Never trust me with math on the fly! Hahaha.
Thanks!

I wonder if SEBO cord reels are as troublesome as Miele’s.

Not in my experience. The K-series seems to fail at a slightly higher rate than the rest of the range, but the E and D-series are pretty bulletproof.
Wet work . Sounds like a Vegas thing 😂
