People that want to go to concerts but dont want their dogs ears to hurt. It is a niche product but i could find a few uses besides 4th of july and its only for the ultra rich pet owners.

Very few dogs, if any, are actually going to tolerate that being on their head for any significant length of time. I don't think it's a coincidence that they all quickly went out when the dog effortlessly took it off after only wearing it a few minutes. I certainly wouldn't take the chance that my dog would refuse to wear it with it being almost $200.

What a digusting thing to say about someones older pet

(1) The dog looks really uncomfortable and even in pain during the first half just hanging there. (2) The dog doesn’t even keep it on for 10 minutes. She is 15 years old and barely moved and was able to easily knock it off. Fireworks will be a thing (in the US) for DAYS/weeks around July 4. (3) How much would the product even be used? She seemed to only advertise it for fireworks which are really only a thing for a few holidays.

I think the point was that she HAD to put the tech in it or else the dog can still hear loud sounds. They have exceptional hearing so the noise cancelling aspect is pretty important.

She should simply offer a very low cost option, exactly the same units but without active noise cancelling.

What she needs to do is design 2 different types, one without electronics and cheap. And one with it but costlier

My dog would have more anxiety wearing that thing than she would from fireworks. People are hesitant to spend $200 on a TV that they could use every day, how does she expect people to spend $200 on something used twice a year that isn’t even guaranteed to work with their dogs?

They need to offer an entry level passive model without the ANC.

I sleep with a thunderstorm audio so our dogs have gotten to the point where they love the sound of storms and fireworks.

It has some interesting potential uses cases - fireworks, thunderstorms, neighbours having a party, generally anxious barky doggos. And training comes with the territory for dog related products that aren't food. The price point isn't too bad for those who have really barky dogs. That said I'd wonder what the longer term psychological impact on the dog would be if an owner left it on while they went away for work or something.

My collies would rip those off in 10 seconds 😂
