I still watch this trailer periodically. It's a real masterpiece. Shadowbringers is one of my favorite final fantasy stories. The expansion is going to be hard to top thats for sure lol. There's a reason why Y'shtola was called Matoya, you'll find out lol.

My 7 year old girl and I will sit down and watch all of the cinematics for FFXIV. She really likes 'Flames of Truth'. She thinks Bahamut is awesome. :)

I have re watched Shadowbringers 4 times now (once on KZread and 3 times in game, I have 1 main and 2 alts) I am a cutscene skipper and Shadowbringers made me stop skipping. This story is so damn good and many tears have been shed, I regret nothing lol. I also agree the next expansion is going to be hard to top this for sure. Also the music in Shadowbringers ugh gets me in my feels lol

This trailer is an artistic masterpiece : The cinematography, the music, the writing of the dialogues and they mixe together so perfectly. One of the best trailers ever.

@@animepabu5526 Stormblood has pretty linear quest structure. If you just follow the story line, should keep you on track.

"Why is Matoya young?!" - Her blissful unawareness is so beautiful lol. I hope she enjoys the expansion.

Sarah losing it over Eternal Wind was the reaction I expected. Shadowbringers is hecking magical.

The Shadowbringers OP is so good. I've watched it countless times and it still gives me chills. Brace yourself for the rest of the game. That's only the tip of the emotional rollercoaster that is Shadowbringers.

@@SquidmanMalachar Yeah, I've been doing the same myself. It's nice now that there are some lesser known KZreadrs that are in the game at differing points in the story and I like seeing them react to the good stuff us vets have already been through.

Why would you mention that this is a thing that happens? People letting her know about Eternal Wind in Crystal Tower already kind of ruined her reaction to it there. For this trailer she didn't know and the reaction is so good. I get that you are excited for future reactions, but mentioning where it is in the expansion literally spoils it.

@@iwifia You said near the end, the end is fairly obvious when it happens. She's talked about people spoiling things over and over. Even knowing it's coming in the future spoils it because then you anticipate it coming. Just try and be careful.

Sparda what end am I talking about? Which expansion? Which trial? Which cut scene? It’s ambiguous for a reason. If it were a spoiler of any level I would have said details.

This was my favorite reaction to this trailer. Love your genuine reactions - i had no idea 3 was your first. 3 is easily one of my favorites that I probably go back almost once a year to play through again. I would love to see a stormblood compilation too if you're thinking of doing that. I can't usually get in to watch your live streams but would love love love to see your reactions to things, and I really enjoy how you edit things down (been enjoying your xenoblade ones). Either way thanks for uploading this, it was very heart warming to watch.

Man every time I get to the "Riding Home!" I just get the chills, I started playing 3 months ago and when I got to Shadowbringers I knew I was lost, this game is so good.

Absolutely loved your reaction. I honestly get emotional every time I hear this song. Its hard to explain to other people but Soken's song for this trailer just hits different. Wonderful reaction, I am not surprised at all that you felt that way about Eternal Wind (I did too); even regardless of attachment to it, it's honestly one of the most top tier tracks in all of FF, so that climax in the music where it plays is just phenomenal

This trailer/opening movie is sooo good!! I think I have watched it 30+ times already and I still enjoy it so much. I've never played FFIII but that "eternal wind" part while the crystal exarch speaks also gives me chills, so I can only imagine the chill multiplier you get by having FFIII nostalgia memories. Hope you enjoy this expansion!

having played n finished shadowbringers twice now and watched this trailer too many times i still tear up :') honestly one of the best ff stories even counting all the other ff games.

I've seen that intro dozens of times and it still makes me tear up, don't feel too bad :)

Thinking about it, I already feel incredibly nostalgic about the Shadowbringers trailer and the expansion as a whole. I can't wait to see what the future brings for the game!

I love how much expansion reference they did in this trailer, the alliance flags at the beginning with the 3 city states in the front ishgardian to the side and hingan one to the back. And also during the fight with the angel, the class changes in sequence of the expansion, flag ship boi cover archer(baby bard) look from 1.0, warrior in 2.0, then dragoon 3.0 and monk 4.0.

I remember watching the intro to 3 on my DS and thinking how beautiful it looked. Boppin to the tune all the way of course! Also nice music choice at the end there with lightning returns

One of the best trailers ever created for any game imo. It not only clued in on the story of Shadowbringers itself, but harkoned back to everything that came before it. In fact, I'm sure most realize this by now, but every class the WoL (now WoD haha) switched to were from trailers of the main game and every expansion so far. They did such an amazing job here and it still makes me tear up too even though I've seen it many times. In fact, perhaps even more so now, because I understand what's happening since I've completed the expansion so far.

I am so hyped to find out you play XIV! Hope you enjoy Shadowbringers. Would definitely love to see the Heavensward and Stormblood reactions too!

kiny lee absolutely yes honestly. I think the complete edition has them all but don’t buy it yet. The free trial goes to lvl 60 and through the first expansion pack. So play and get a feel before you buy! The first 40 levels are slow and the story is ok. It picks up to 50 but then the expansion content is where everything starts to shine and meld and work real well. Feel free to reach out to me for any more info, discord is iwifia#9897

Knowing your love for FFIII and how much you adore Eternal Wind, I have genuinely been waiting A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time for you to get to this moment. I cried more. And yes, I am a near-40 year old man. I honestly can't explain the depth of the impact so much of FFXIV has had on my emotions. There's just something about this trailer in particular (which, incidentally, I watched for the first time today, since I've only really gotten into the game since the 5.3 patch and just finished of Stormblood this morning) that speaks to me on a personal level. Every movement, every object, every frame of animation, and especially every note of the incredible, amazing music just slides into my brain, clicks into place like the gears of an engine, and then starts revving at a billion RPM. I swear, when that dark, dirty guitar kicked in, I nearly had a heart attack from the sheer awe of it all. Part of the emotion comes from the simple fact that it's so great to see such a clear, eloquent culmination of the talent and creativity of the people who made this. It must have taken one hell of a team to create something like this, and each one of them must have had the soul of an artist.

For me the eternal wind part reminded me of the Soul Blade intro with the violins.

You're going to have a good time. I was a World of Warcraft player since 2006 and change to Final Fantasy XIV about four years ago steady. Since then I've never looked back. That being said, there are at least three different versions of Eternal wind that you can actually obtain and listen to whenever you want in game.

Good God that character is so gorgeous, overwhelmingly appealing. I think I'm in love with that character. I've seen him in all the final fantasy 14 trailers. And he's gorgeous and outstanding almost on the same level as cloud and Zach. I have final fantasy 14 but I never played it ,now I feel like I missed out on a lot . Thancred is handsome also.

FF3 was my first Final Fantasy too! Playing through the Crystal Tower story in ARR was such a nostalgia trip for me. Clearly someone at Square feels the same, because so much of 14 is just a love letter to 3!

Everything besides the sin eater fight is in the past The opening part is from the timeline the Exarch is from, where Zenos' body is either never possessed or you beat down Elidibus in his body to the point he had to retreat, ultimately resulting in Garlemand using Black Rose and coinciding with the 8th Calamity

I never played the first 3 final fantasy games. I bought a mobile pack on iOS that came with FF-FF6 so I can play through the all. I just got to 3, and it’s the first time I’ve played it. I’m very excited, and i thought of this video so had to comment.

FF3 is one of the two games from FF I never played… so when I saw Shadowbringers I loved the music specifically that part as it had a great rhythm.

Shadowbringers is def my favorite expansion, especially for end game dungeons/raids, and new job skills.

i watched you in this video from when you posted this. i was not playing ff14 then but rewatching it now damn, it really does hit you. ff14 is amazing. truly deserving of the mainline number
