I just have to say, I am amazed at the positive comments left on this video. I don't expect much from KZread, and we get berated a lot when we don't know things, miss things, don't like things, or get things wrong (specifically recently from the Monster Hunter, Borderlands, FF7R, and Smash Bros. communities). I wasn't sure how this video was going to pan out since none of us have played FFXIV and we were reacting to an expansion trailer. It was like total WoW noobs reacting to the Cataclysm announcement trailer. But we all love Final Fantasy and it was E3 so we decided to give it a go. The detailed, encouraging, positive feedback you all have provided has left a huge impression on my view of the FFXIV community and is ultimately what pushed me to install the free trial. In one weekend I've put in 15+ hours and have a Level 27 Gladiator (far above the Main Quest level - thanks Exp Boost!). This game has certainly impressed me as a long time WoW player. It does many things better, there are some QoL things missing that WoW has, but ultimately it has been a very engaging experience. I'm still not convinced I want to be in this for the long run, just because I like playing other videogames (and we aren't an exclusive FFXIV channel haha), but I foresee a subscription once I hit 35. bruh gladiator is like the slowest melee tank ever tho. You should try warrior as a tank, or something like lancer, archer, pugilist, rogue or summoner as dps. Those are the fun ones

When a game _ACTUALLY_ lives up to its trailer. Have played since before Heavensward and this game has the best story development by an absolute landslide when compared against other MMOs

I actually stopped playing just before heavensward hit cause I was a middle schooler and had to pay the subscription out of my own pocket and I wanted to try other mmo's and save my money for other games. Sadly I couldn't find an mmo that fully kept my interest or have me invested in its story like ff14. Now I'm in college and I may get it and come back.

@@tjreed7797 Trust me, it's worth coming back. Heavensward alone was great. Stormblood is even better and more intense. And Shadowbringers is downright superb (plus the Trust system is handy if a given dungeon has a long queue time, just bring your NPC buddies along with you instead, and they will actually react correctly to Boss mechanics instead of being braindead enough to just get hit with mechanic after mechanic like Squadrons are). And then there are the new Jobs that were added in Heavensward, Stormblood, & Shadowbringers respectively. Heavensward added the Dark Knight (Tank), Astrologian (Healer), & Machinist (DPS), Stormblood added Samurai (DPS) & Red Mage (DPS), and Shadowbringers added Gunbreaker (Tank) & Dancer (DPS). Red Mage is my favorite overall though, as they are the one Job with the most utility out of all of them, even if your damage output is below average, parties will still be happy to have you for a very specific reason: Red Mage is the best Job as far as quickly reviving multiple dead allies goes as they can get 4-5 people revived very quickly (though this burns through the Red Mage's MP pool *very* quickly, so that particular situation is one best avoided if at all possible), so much so that some people even nicknamed the Red Mage the "Rez Mage". Not even dedicated Healers can revive multiple downed allies as quickly as a single Red Mage can.

Heavensward was a prologue for the events to happen in Shadowbringers. Shit is crazy. Shit is so good.

The song is indeed from FF3 and it is Eternal Wind, giving a nod to the Crystal Tower you see in the trailer and a suggestion that it will be a big part of the expansion.

Well a big lore bit of ff3 was that in the past, the world was saved from the Cloud of Light, a manifestation of the void (if I remember right) that nearly flooded the world in burning light, until the legendary warriors of darkness saved it. Its no wonder the Crystal Tower and ff3 theme is involved here, lol.

1. The player IS the Warrior of Light in this game. Meaning the guy in the trailer represents the player. 2. The music IS a remix of FF3.

The guy is the Warrior of Light from 1st world. The story of the player and the 1st WoL/WoD is very similar only that he's already done it all and his world is now full of light. There was an encounter with him and his party in the main scenario.

@@TANGER840 Crazy late reply since I'm only just now watching this video, but the guy in the trailer's name is actually Meteor, as said in (iirc) one of the liveletters. The wiki says it's Meteor Survivor, but that's not an official statement, and the wiki also suggests it's Ardbert, but Ardbert is also warrior job only, not multijob, and once again, not an official statement.

@ There's a raid series in Shadowbringers that plays the Balamb Garden theme in the hub after you complete it. Little moments like that all through the game that echo other games in the series.

Trial has no time limit anymore and you're free to level up to level 35

Keep in mind that the max level for the base game is 50, so having no time limit and going up to level 35 is a very generous and substantial trial to take advantage of. Since you're also allowed to be every single class in the game on one character, and can rank up from your base class into an iconic job at level 30, you can take your sweet time to experience all of the jobs, and even use the trial to get a huge headstart with leveling all the jobs. Say at end-game you think you want to have one of each role? Level up a rogue, arcanist, and gladiator to 35, as well as their secondary classes to 15. You can do all of that during the trial instead of spending precious subscription time doing it.

@@TheRawred They got rid of secondary classes for the battle jobs years ago. Everything a class needs is contained within itself, now. If you JUST want to be a/an [insert class/job here], then you ONLY have to level that class/job, none others required. Granted, you can still level those other classes/jobs because you like them, or in the case of Disciples of the Hand, need the cross-class abilities, but for the battle classes, they're stand alone now.

As a former wow player for the past 14 years (I started ffxiv in February this year), Ffxiv is hands down the best and is super good. Personally though I found levels 1-50 pretty boring but I would never recommend anyone skipping it because it builds a lot in the story and leads into the Heavensward expansion. HW is amazing. SB is amazing. ShB looks like it will be even more amazing already. You should definitely try it out. I’d just keep in mind that lvl 50 and below is just like... the beginning of the game imo. Changes drastically after that, in gameplay and story.

I just left Wow to play this game! At lvl 38 now and i will never go back to WOW! The story line is what this game is about! You have to work at leveling, not like wow! professions are not quick either, you have to work at them too, from what i hear and i am not sure because i have just started pay! or you can use the gear unlike WOW! The game graphics are so awesome, i was in a city at night, was looking at the shy and saw a falling star! I was beside myself! it was so real! but the content is so real! So i said let me look to see another, did i see another?? No, why would you, do you see them every time you go outside? No, and that is what makes this game so good! It's trivial i know but it just took me by surprise! best game i have ever played!

Currently the base game of XIV is ~$16. Heavensward (the first expansion) is free. So for only $16, you get ALOT of content and a whole pile of story. Also, able to play up to level 60. I highly recommend it.

So do i! Played Wow for 12 years, this game blow WOW into dust! Story line is awesome! graphics is awesome!

I dont know if you guys actually read the comments, but i'd like to say that while it is a great time to get into the game because of the special sale offers, keep in mind a few things... Its a VERY slow start once you begin with a character. Story/gameplay-wise, its a little bit of a crawl. Most classes only start getting interesting around levels 30 or 40, and you'll need to level up one of the first classes before getting gunbreaker, which starts at level 60. The story in the first portion of the game, ARR, is pretty mmo-ish, the whole "talk to this guy, go there, kill enemy, come back to talk to him" formula. Its only till around the very end of the 2.0 series where the story picks up really well. Nowadays, you will most likely get to that part after a month granted you pour the time into it. I have 4 years and 10000+ hours into this game and I love it, but that first part nearly killed the experience for me and I called it quits a few times. Otherwise, its definitely better than other mmos, regarding the job system (multiple classes in a single character), cutscenes, dialogue, music, story, gameplay mechanics, tons of stories and references to other FF games, customization of gear, crafting and gathering system, lots of endgame content... I give this warning to a lot of reactors that see this trailer and end up saying they want to try the game. I know people like you dont have the time to sink in because you have a youtube channel to maintain, other videogames to play, react, review, showcase, and enjoy. So please, dont let the first weeks of the game bore you and give a bad first impression. Just be patient.

This, by a lot. I would recommend really taking your time and not hurry too much to get burnt out. The first parts will be more tolerable if you have people to play with or even just accompany you through the quests. Once you get to Heavensward though, everything will be way better. You'll actually start to feel this improvement towards the end of ARR. It's also really easy to catch up so no worries about getting left behind.

Agreed. No one should expect this game to be again a main piece of your channels content, take it as a slowburner hobby if anything, not work. Hopefully youll enjoy it as such. Im glad you decided to try i always recommend it for a check out if nothing else. Its a pretty game to visit even if only for a couple days should it not suit you hahah.

My wife and i have just started to play this game. we have been play WOW for 12 years! This game is so incredible! it is slow at first but if you want to know what is going on take the time to read the story. So far we love the game, trying the professions and we both can see it will take work, but that is the fun of the game! The game is offline right now or i would not be here. The new game patch is coming out today!

Probably a bit late, but FFXIV player here! 1:18 - The MC in the video is you, and you are the Warrior of Light. 1:40 - You strike down a main story character relating to the 2nd expansion Stormblood (SB) 4:02 - HYPE they will be called Gunbreaker in FFXIV! I recommend watching the Shadowbringer (ShB) Job Action Trailer to see their new flashy animations 4:53 - The Dancer job is a new job along side Gunbreaker for ShB 6:40 - You can grab the base game along with the 2nd and 3rd expansions, Heavensward (HW) and SB respectively, in a bundle. 6:51 - PS4 is just as easy to use as PC, you can do all levels of content using PS4 controls, you can of course connect a wireless keyboard to your PS4 as well. 7:50 - We have an unlimited time free trial all the way to Level 35, and after you purchase the game, you sub monthly afterwards. 9:16 - There will be a Nier collaboration in ShB, being the 24 man raid series, there will probably be a total of 3 Nier themed raids throughout the 2 years of the expansion. 9:33 - Preordering comes with exp boosts for levelling. Boosts are available to be purchased, but playing the game the first time, you should try experience the story completely the first time round. BONUS: Job changes in order as seen in trailer Bard -> Warrior -> Dragoon -> Monk -> Samurai (added in SB) -> Dark Knight (added in HW)

In all honesty, though, it has a bit more impact knowing when they showed that video. For those of you who don't know, just imagine staring into the sky stained crimson from an ominous glowing red ball and fighting off hoards of the Imperials. Dead silence with only an echoey, drowned out song to accompany you and the time is slowly ticking down, and there is nothing you can do about it. Then, when the time hits zero, everyone is kicked off the servers--to be greeted by that video.

I think you guys would like the Final Fantasy XIV - Flames of Truth cinematic.

Yeah I mean it really has much more impact when you realise that it was an actual ingame event they did to shut off the game for the rework... I mean they actually ended the world so they could rebuilt it, its meta on so many levels

The Nier crossover is going to be a series of three 24-man casual raids. First one comes with the first patch about three months after launch, and then every other patch after that.

Gunblader is, indeed, being introduced this expansion (as a Tank), along with Dancer (as a Ranged Physical DPS). All things considered, you should try it out first. You can play a free trial of the base game up to level 30 or so (on each class; ffxiv allows you to switch classes/jobs, and there is no character level on top of that), which allows you to create a character and access the base classes.

This trailer was really masterful. I've been gone from the game for years now, and this trailer single handedly brought me back into the game.

I recommend the Heavensward and the Stormblood trailers they're just as high quality as this. The context for this trailer without spoilers is that your entire "party" meaning the story characters that have been integral to the lore since 1.0 have fallen into a coma-like state, you as the warrior of light need to go to another world, a parallel to yours, or another "shard" as it were, where the light is consuming everything and need to rid of it using the darkness, that's where all your friends are alternate versions of themselves.

I've just recently watched those older trailers, and must say that Flames of Truth and Heavensward blew me away

If you are a Final Fantasy nerd, FF14 is a huge treat. It has so many elements brought from every Final Fantasy there are into this game. Even the launch trailer hinted Eden for those that remembers the summon from FF8. There's so many monsters that I am fond of like Fungar from FF11 are all coming to FF14 expansion. I remember Fungar used to chase me while making my journey to Jueno back in the day lol.

This is such a great, unique reaction to the trailer. There's plenty of reactions of people who haven't played FFXIV watching the trailer but it's interesting to see people who are fans and are very familiar with Final Fantasy but just haven't played FFXIV yet react to the trailer. It's clear they don't know the story bits going on but it's fun to watch them get excited for recognizing various Final Fantasy elements scattered throughout the trailer (and the game itself.)

This was recommended to me by KZread, so I don't know anybody's names. But the dude on the far right getting hyper-excited is just infectious. We're firmly into a new expansion, and I STILL want to go back and re-experience the story.

Heya o/ I am not sure who the guy with the glasses is but he was on point. The music you hear in the background IS a remix of FF3 because the Story in this expansion is tied together with the Crystal Tower / Sycrus Tower storyline which is a very important location in FF3. So the remix in the background is the Theme for FFXIV shadowbringers^^

@ Old FFXIV player here, experienced in endgame and a lore fanatic. I have to say, if you like the Final fantasy series, FFXIV is a very unique MMO. It's like Disneyland for FF fans. I highly recommend it. The new expansion is literally the best time to start, every job is getting some kind of rework, huge QoL features are being added and the main story (MSQ) will entertain a new player for hundreds of hours before they reach level 80. I do not recommend skipping it with the buy-in option. It's a game worth of being slowly enjoyed, you won't miss much by going casually if you are not aiming straight at endgame. The first raid will hit the game on the first patch a couple of weeks after its release. That being said, I recommend the pre-order since you get the first "heirloom" item for free with it, a earing that will grow its stats with you up to level 70 and give you a 30% exp boost. Our community is pretty friendly and there are tons of guilds (free companies) that are willing to help newcomers into the game. Cheers, and see you guys in Eorzea (maybe?).

You can play FFXIV on PC with a PS4 or Xbox controller with the same control scheme they have which utilizes the "Cross Hotbar" system.

This game has the most amazing controller support I've seen for an MMO. I've mapped my entire rotation and OCD weaves onto the main bar, and my CDs, buffs, and oh-sh*ts to my crossbar, accessed with a double-tap. I can play through an entire dungeon on muscle memory.

So far, many people are claiming Shadowbringer has the best story in Final Fantasy history. Others may argue it is definitely up there. Regardless, it's an overwhelming positive all around. Personally, it is the best MMORPG story I have experienced and I have been playing this genre since 1998.

Good news is that all expansions are packaged together with the most recent one so if you buy the base game and shadowbringers you're good

I love how they actually show off a few different jobs in action in this trailer which certainly enticed many new players to jump on board with the game. I've personally been in love with Shadowbringers to the point that I've leveled all the combat jobs to max and have even started on the crafting and gathering jobs. The absolute best part of the game (aside from the story) is the fact that you can be EVERY JOB with just one character because that's just how the Warrior of Light rolls which makes it much easier to level other jobs after your first one because you'll have amassed more resources plus you get an XP bonus.

in a way it's a bit of an Easter egg. each job he uses have appeared in the previous expansion trailers. I was quite happy to see the bard class from the original 1.0 trailer.

I know this is a bit old but for anyone else trying to find who sings the trailer vocals his name is Jason C Miller

I love how clever is the guy with the Puerto Rico T-shirt, I mean, he looks like a true Final Fantasy title fan. Even when I'm a huge fan myself, I couldn't quite catch the remix of FFIII as fast as he did, also he got all the references with classes and looks genuinely amazed and hyped with the trailer, I just love his reactions ♥

Note that part of the way through they redesigned the controller UI for the game and it's literally the best I have ever seen with 8 pages of 16 slots and another optional extra static 16 slots

For the pay model I believe the subscription is 1 character per realm (server) for $12.99 a month. You only ever need 1 character anyways to unlock all content in the game though. The other model is pointless for 90% of the playerbase but allows 8 characters per realm for $14.99. Like other people have said though, the trial caps you out at level 35 when the level cap od the base game is 50. It's a very generous and substantial trial since there's no time limit and you can swap any of the class/jobs you want to be, on one character, at the click of a button.

Auron: "This is my story and you're no part of it" Ardbert: "This is our story!" (in the end of ffxiv shadowbringers) so yeah...auron wibes are allowed xD

With the released of 5.3, you can now play all of A Realm Reborn and Heavensward for free, create an Au Ra(dragon people), and have access to the three jobs that came out with Heavensward. The story and questing grind in ARR might seem tedious, but it is well worth the effort for the HW story!

I'm curious where you guys are now that this has been out several months. Not sure if any of you bought a level and/or story boost to Shadowbringers or decided to work your way through ARR, Heavensward, and Stormblood to get to Shadowbringers. Did you guys end up getting to/playing Shadowbringers at all? If so, what'd you think? Unfortunately, they have'nt finished revamping the Main Story Quetss in ARR to make it quicker to catch up, though they are working on that. Hope you guys got to enjoy the expansion and maybe up through patch 5.1. Excited for the next raid tier and MSQ, etc. content next week with patch 5.2.

Hey there! So, Sean was the only one that played the game (I believe he got into heavensward) but Rudy and I (Onix) never found the time to get into the game, though it is something we've considered. Thanks for asking though!

Yes, for the moment in Crystarium (the city) the music is a remix of FFIII world theme since shadowbringer have a good amount of FFIII in it (the most notable part is the crystal tower)

What data center are you on?

Hi guys! I love your reaction videos. I suggest you look at the previous videos from FFXIV starting from the very first up until Stormblood so you can compare. Also, if you haven't played this one, try looking at the Job/Classes Videos for a lowdown on the current and upcoming classes. It could give you an idea on what class you want to start with. :)

Personally, my favorite other than story and gameplay (which are awesome) is the ability to have every class/job, crafting and gathering, all of it , on one character. It's all you need, and are not forced to playing alts..

Another great aspect of 14 is that you switch jobs/classes at any moment just changing your main hand weapon, so with trial you can try all of the ARR classes up to 35

its number 2 but its going to be number 1 with shadowbringers i think people will get bored of classic wow.

I think one of you played FFT. Stormblood(4.0) 's 24 man alliance raids contains FFT /FFXII. The main characters of FFT is all there, including great music from FFT/FFXII, and story written by the guy who did the story for FFT/FFXII. For those ppl who didn't play FFT might get lost but as one who played FFT, I highly recommend watching the cutscene and enjoy the nostalgic lane walk. Another FFT stuff: Orran Durai and Mustadio, their jobs are in 3.0 (heaven's ward). Astrologian and Mechanist.

also i play ps4. It's playable, however, there are times i wish i was playing it on my computer. But there are some jobs where i feel controller is better, if so, you can just connect your controller to your computer. Plus I feel like computer is more flexible. Also, i don't recommend Steam version. PLEASE don't get Steam version.

I started playing last year..really loved the free trial which I decided to buy all the expansions, i took a break at level 59-57. Haven’t played in a long time due to my love for other games, but I’ve now pretty much ran out of content & have a load of content on ff14 to look forward too for a solid year now. I can’t wait to get stuck in after seeing the e3 event!

You'll want to play the Crystal Tower alliance raids at 50 and pay attention to the Warriors of Darkness arc in patch 3.4 of Heavensward

Everytime I watch these trailers I get so pumped

I just passed the main story quest for shadowbringers yesterday and it's completely beautiful, everything is amazing, I was so engaged and absorbed in the game and story, everything played out so interestingly and beautiful. I totally and completely recomend you guys to pass the other expansions to get to shadowbringers, it's totally worth it and rewarding♡♡♡♡♡ Also, the story is not yet finished so we can expect much more great things to come!

As exciting as Shadowbringers is. I highly suggest to any new players to not rush the main story. Reasons for this is so 1. You don't miss anything. 2. Even if it takes a while, you will be caught up with everyone else in terms of story eventually. 3. Every few patches more story will be added so even if you aren't caught up when Shadowbringers come out, you might experience even more of the story by time you get to it. FF 14's story is truly amazing and the experience going through it is worth it.

Not to mention, whats the point of rush skipping to shadowbringers if then youll have no idea what brought you there. Without context the experience would be seriously halved and prob not worth it, youd prob be ill prep subpar on run experience subgeared add to many wipes and hate it out of frustration.

Been playing since day one. Do it! You won't regret it. They sell level boost and story boost potions. Yeah they aren't connected, but I wouldn't skip anything if i were you. The story is amazing, and its worth playing thru even if you don't make max level in time for the expansion. Its completly worth it

React on Shadow Bringer Job Action. This shows the new abilities for each jobs.

The beauty about this game, especially if you don't have "time" to commit to an MMO, is that the game is a Final Fantasy game. The story is incredible. Don't worry so much about racing to end game (which is also great). Take your time and enjoy the story like you would with any other FF title, and even if you don't have the time to commit to raiding or PvP, you will still have an amazing stand alone game to play. FYI, the free trial is up to level 30 so you can experience all of the base game's (A Realm Reborn) jobs.

Finally an honest unbiased reaction to this. Try this game out it's is really fun

When ffxiv releases a new expansion the old ones become included with the base game for no extra charge. The base game is $40 bucks and includes all but the most recent expansion. The most newest expansion is always separately sold for $20. So its always costs $60 to buy the full game plus the newest expansion.

1 big tip for newplayers to FFXIV, play through the story do not skip any with purchase or what sort. It's still a numbered FF game, which means great plot and rpg element. Take your time to enjoy the story and progression there is no rush.

It's worth noting the game takes a while to get really going, at least until Heavensward, but once you get there it's amazing from then on. But it is worth playing A Realm Reborn all the way through as it lays the ground work for everything else to build on

I know I'm really late to the video and comments section, but I wanted to say... Yes, there is a trial up to I believe level 30-35. ShadowBringers comes with the previous two expansions. At least on PS4, I don't see why that wouldn't also be the case on PC, but read expansion info for PC just in case. Story and narrative is highly interwoven within the fiber of this game. It was designed to feel like an RPG first, and an MMO second. It is second behind WoW, but that may change as articles report FFXIV is currently the most talked about MMO with the release of ShadowBringers. I highly recommend if you play, PLEASE do not give up until you get into Heavensward content, AT LEAST. That starts around level 50. You'll know when you hit Heavensward. ARR content drags a little at points, especially in patches between ARR and the Heavensward expansion due to SE wanting to make sure people enjoyed the game after the reboot (NoClip's documentary on FFXIV 1.0 on KZread is great, 10/10 do recommend). Subscription is about 12.99 for "entry level" which is basically 1 character per server, per data center. And if you and your friends can't get on the same server you can still play together on the same data center. You'll just need to visit each others' servers. FFXIV community does have some rotten eggs, but overall it has been one of the most positive gaming communities I have had the pleasure of interacting with for the past three years. They are very welcoming and ready to help new players. So don't hesitate to /shout for help. :3 No spoilers, but FFXIV is hands down one of the best stories in an FF game in years. You will just need to pay attention to the story leading up to that expansion. Good luck, and hope you guys have fun and enjoy your time on FFXIV!

Gotta say.. this trailer gives a completely different vibe when you watch it after finishing Stormblood.. as someone who watched it before even starting FFXIV I can say that much

Also, the best thing about this particular MMO is that you don't HAVE to grind and grind and grind to hit max level if you don't want to. There are jump potions you can buy which I don't recommend because skipping the story is like skipping over one of the best parts of the game but there ARE preferred worlds you can create your character on that give a MASSIVE XP bonus to the point that you can level up by pretty much just doing the main story and no sidequests if you want which greatly cuts down on the time played. Of course, this is a game that's gotten better with time so while the base story is good it gets better and better through the expansions with this latest expansion being the best I've ever seen but you don't get the full context of WHY it's so great if you don't do the story leading up to it.

After i saw this trailer at the begin of this year i was extremely hyped and i got the complete edition since if you got the complete edition you get 30 days for free for only the beginners and i got it for 20 dollars and THAT WAS SUPER POGGERS AND ON GOD THIS TRAILER ALWAYS BOOST MY HYPE every time i watch it

If you guys were still wanting to try the game when the new patch drops on August 11th 2020, the free trial is being extended to level 60 thru the first expansion Heavensward to all new players.

Excruciatingly slow start, but worth it, if you want to learn your job (and lore since yer a massive part of it) well. Sample? Dark knight starts at lv30, it seemed a good way to start playing a tank role. Result? Was rubbish at it, tanking wasn't for me, right? Later decided to pick up warrior from ground up good ol' level 1. Ran tutorial for the support gear. World of difference. starting to get it and a slow climb to lv 70 n'onwards. What im getting at, is that theres loads to haul up, some patience required to get to epic, and you prob shouldn't shortcut it despite being able to. you can buy a role with all of your deck unlocked but boy you wont know what to do with it, comparative to getting your rotations dripped and gradually understanding how and when to best use them.. Also, worth to mention, playing DPS will be difficult unless you've a static, or all go in as a complete party group, since the DPS are the butt of all cue lines, if the early content you need is being ran at all by strangers. So decide who's what , make a classic party and onwards you go, no problem then.

When i went to the Fan Festival last february, there was actualy a fun event: the plot twist dungeon. That is, you seat on a computer, set up your class, action and all that stuff... and at various random points you'll be told to trade places with another player. And boy, despite everyone being multiple years veterans, you don't just play another class like that. Especialy with custom hotbars. It was quite the fun but stressing experience.

I'd highly recommend this game for mmo/ff fans the story captivates you in the same way the classic rpg series did, not gonna lie the story before the first dlc is just ok but once you get into heavensward it will claim your soul

ffxiv was awesome years ago. startet with lvl 50. it got quiet easy from lvl 60-80 step by step, but i think thats how the playerbase increased.

Ohh God that bring me back and i can say ez now that Shadowbringer is in Top 3 Game & story in all FF Story

Alright, I know this vid is kinda old, but did you guys try out the game? If so, you should document it, it’s fun to see newcomers play this game and giving out their opinion on the game. Im really curious now because you guys were really hooked to the trailer but I wanna see if it really lived up to the hype for you guys.

Since you picked up FFXIV, I'm gonna highly reccomend you complete the Crystal Tower series of alliance raids. It's a very big part of the expansion.

this is a pretty old video compared to whats been happening in game, in terms of the trial when they discussed it, so i want people who come by this video and havent played it that 1. the free trial goes to level 60 and includes the expansion heavensward. 2. after purchase of the game you get a free 30 days play time and 3. the latest expansion will always include all previous expansions due to story requirements, so you recieve all expansions for the price of one.

Pretty great reaction. I'm glad you know a decent amount about final fantasy in general. The games fantastic even on PS4. I play it. Get in!!

One thing I definitely recommend is NOT buying the story skip option. Buy the level boost if you have to but because story is so integral to XIV, everyone should go through its entirety, all the good and the bad parts.

Man seeing people excited about FFXIV that haven't played it makes me hyped! I feel excited that they may get a chance to experience what a great game it is, and enjoy the story that the game offers. I envy new players. There's nothing quite as magic as the first playthrough of the game, it's truly something. I hope you guys give it a try and stick it out! It gets really good come the heavensward expansion! Some of the best storytelling I've seen from a Final fantasy game.

You can use the free trial to play ultil lvl 35, then after you buy it its 10 bucks a month. They don't give out boosters with expansions, this is not wow where as soon as the new expansion drops the rest of the game dies, it's very much alive and important if you wanna understand where the fuck are you or what you're doing. Boosting or story skipping is the worst thing you can do. Every piece of content is locked behind main story quests, so there's no point in boosting having the illusion to "grind endgame", you're just paying to unbuy the game itself, making every quest, dungeon, experience you could have had, useless. Furthermore, near the end of a realm reborn and the start of the first expansion the story dramatically improves, giving out what's probably one of the best ff storylines out there.

The community in FFXIV is for the majority helpful and friendly. You won’t get berated for being new. It’s not like WoW in that aspect. I think they give you up to level 35 for free as well if your on a trial account.

when shadowbringers comes out 80 is max lvl, but if you starting out you have to do realm reborn, then you gotta do heavenswards then stormblood, then shadowbringers. also you got a good selection of base jobs to choose from. but ffxiv focuses a lot on story telling and the stories are fantastic, well written and emersive. also its 14 a month to play but you get tons of free content every 4 to 5 months after the expansions releases like story content, dungeons, trials, primal fights, 24 man raids, and other fun things to do. FFxiv is prolly the best mmo on the market to date.

So did you guys end up trying FFXIV? If you didn't, you should look up all the trailers from the beginning, they tell a story that is reflected in this one.

You will be able to buy a pack that will have a relm reborn heavens ward and storm blood as a single package for 60$ and it comes with 30 days. Thought I will say it is a great final fantasy game, as well as one of the best mmos out there right now.

Picked up FFXIV when it was on sale complete edition for 40$ on ps4!! Do not regret it plus you can play keyboard and mouse on ps4 as well im enjoying it well worth the money! 👍👌
