I LOVED LIVING SINGLE IN THE NINETIES ❤ I NEVER REALLY CARED FOR FRIENDS! THE FRIENDS CAST NEVER REALLY HAD THE METHOD OF ACTING TECHNIQUE THAT ATTRACTED ME TO THEIR SHOW!!!

That has ALWAYS been our oppositions habitual way of operating , Appropriating black culture or our ideas.

Living Single was without a doubt the best sitcom at this times. I felt they were cut-off by the network because they were way better than Friends. In fact, I cannot stand Friends. I watched it once and never again. The network couldn't stand a Black sit-com better than a white one. Case closed.

They make it sound like the Friends cast were know actors before Friends. Not true!

Exactly Queen Latifah and Kim Fields was widely known before Living Single.

It's like they used the last season to just tie up loose ends... Sinclair & Overton got married...Regine's handsome Millionaire found her and they got Married..Kadijah and her Childhood love got back together.. Kyle and Max got together..and she was expecting their child....Friends was just a different version of their Popular series..It seems like there was already a plan to cancel the series...before the last season started...With both Living Single and Friends both being based on Single friends in New York..They could have did many cross over episodes.. Friends only had one black guest star... Gabrielle Union...Maybe Aisha Tyler I think too.. They never had a black guy come into the coffee Cafe...or Move into the building...In multicultural New York.... the series wasn't one I watched often.

Knew this for years... which is why to this day, I don't watch friends.

This is very typical. It is observed that the Fox Network initially featured predominantly Black casts in its programming, targeting a specific audience. However, after establishing the network, the Black shows were discontinued.

I still watch this wonderful show today

Friends Cast weren't "Star Studded" from the Start. Most those Actors were only Kinda Famous at the Time! Friends was a RIPOFF of Living Single!!

I have to admit , Friends was treaded like the mark up brand and Living Single was treated as the knock off so to speak, I never watched an episode of Friends while it was on the air because of that treatment. I agree with T C Carson that the cast of Living Single was robbed of its glory, and I still believe that to this day..

I love this show and I am surprised it lasted longer than it did, all of the writer's should be ashamed everyone I knew loved this show. They deliberately took a very good show off so what else is knew for beautiful black people with talent?

I'm no actor but anyone can clearly see that Hollywood has been doing black actors dirty forever. I didn't watch Friends because they didn't apply to my life. Living Single was my life and that of my friends around me. We were upset that it was just snatched off the air so abruptly, but that is the way white Hollywood did and still does black shows to some degree. To ruin a person's career, though, there is such a thing called karma and it has no expiration date.

I connected with living single urban professional doing there thing. To me friends respect upper east side.

Never watched Friends until it ended...Living single? Loved that show. Friends seemed silly and unrelatable. Living Single was way funnier and I actually knew what the characters were coming from. Especially the episode....well all the episodes.

there can NOT be innovation without imitation. the people behind making Living Single do not own or have exclusive rights to single people living together. it wasn't an inclusive show that's why it failed to stay on the air. unfortunately a shocking amount of sitcoms have made and continue to make the same mistakes

I watched ONE. They were terrible.

Whatever!!! We know how we’re treated compared to the Caucasians!! But l never felt Friends was ever funny!! Maybe that show was created just for them !!Now on the other hand…Living Single l always watched!! So glad of the…return of the re-runs!!!😊😊😊
