John Muller from Google has said that it is possible to recover from the September Helpful Content Update (HCU) if you do everything right. However, you'd have to wait until the next core or HCU update to see any positive effects of the classifier on your website.

Some examples of what you changed to recover would be helpful.

if we can't trust John Muller then I don't know what in the world is left to believe in any longer 😭 Hah, thanks for the video! Always such a turmoil the month or two after a major Google update isn't it

The problem with the HCU is that people thought they got hit because their content wasn't helpful 😂... So they made changes to the content...but Google hit all content sites whyher or not its helpful or not... Its clear bu ther SEarPs that Google no longer eant blogs... So inless the changes are making your site a business, big brand or UGC site... you're not going to recover .. unles Google changes their mind

You didn’t share any results via these recoveries. That would be helpful. Otherwise, why would someone hire you to fix this problem if they can’t see the results?

It is a work in progress. I have to get my clients to agree. It's not easy convincing them, even if I say I'll hide their URLs. Also, since this is their first time working with me, maybe for a few months, we don't have the degree of trust I have with businesses I've been working with for years.

@@LetsTalkSEO but you can hide the url and clients name and just share results. Showing a reversal in semrush or gsc is all people like me need to see. My site lost 90% of the traffic after the HCU, so I would pay someone to look at it if they have a proven track record of fixing the decline. Otherwise, I have not seen or heard of any HCU recovery

@@LetsTalkSEOwhy did you delete my comment? It’s honest. If you can’t show proof of an HCU recovery, you shouldn’t promote that you can do it

I have no reason to delete your comments. It was not offensive. However, KZread tends to auto delete comments for some reason or hide them.
