Soldier Ant got covered in the Insect focused episode. I want to try not to overlap cards 😅 Ragnarok and few cards I left out on purpose because there's a handful of cards that I want to cover separately

It's so weird that Beckon to the Dark is anime exclusive, with how common it is in some of the video games.

You’re probably right about battle city being the most fun tourney to join. Despite the plot, it’s the safest tournament in all of YGO, so no worrying about being enslaved for life in a coal mine like in the Friendship Cup in arc-v.

Calling it the safest tournament in the series is a bit of a stretch when there were cloaked men running around who would ambush you for a rare card or kidnap your loved ones to force you into a life or death duel.

Beckon to the dark, a card that doesn't target or destroy a monster

Up until like 2015 I wanted so badly for some of these to release. They felt like they could have had Mirror Force levels of impact on the game. Now they’d be meaningless pack filler sadly; or they’d shatter the foundation of the entire competitive landscape. DM was truly a time to be alive.

I think Yugioh made a mistake by not wording cards to make sense for more than one opponent. Magic did this long before Commander was anywhere near as popular as it would later become

Charm of Lamentation seen like a option to run in a Mikanko deck if avaliable nowdays, they don't get destroyed when battling a monster while equipped with a equip spell, deal damage to the opponent and you can draw a card each time you attack. seen like gimmick but it's work try out in this deck.

Curse breaker is worse than you think since you can only activate it during your turn, so all it negates are continuous and quick play spells. Unless you meant to say it lasts for 2 turns. Im surprised you didnt make an infernity joke at spell textbook. Imagine activating it to topdeck an archfiend.

Charm of Lamentation would be cute in Lunalight. Play Lamentation Summon Lunalight Cat Dancer Use Cat Dancer's effect, now your opponent's Monster's can't be destroyed the first time they would be, and Cat Dancer can attack each Monster twice.

There are a fair number of traps that do get used(outside of archtype specific cards). You forgot to change Brave Attack out for Necromancy.

This is literally my favorite series on KZread right now.

Finally notification works. I think some of the effects of these cards need to slidely change to work in modern format or get better. That normal doll monster could turn into Ectoplasma searcher and support, I think that card has potential to get into the modern game. Grave Arms would be banned in GOAT probably. I can see it released today with a buff perhaps. Weevil's card could let you get Parasite Parasite from either deck to the opponent's side and have an effect that prevents your opponent from Extra Deck summoning and tributing, thus rendering monster zones useless. That would also give you some need way to use stall strats like Insect Barrier. I kinda like the trickster ways of insects and sadly it was never implemented well into the game I feel. Except maybe with Traptrix. I vaguely recall there being a card that negates an attack. But I can't put my finger on what it was called. Curse Transfer and Spell Transfer would be nice as Counter Traps that let you use your opponent's cards as it is yours if the effects can resolve. Otherwise just negate them. Spell Sanctuary should let both players add a card at the end phase to balance it out.

9:50 -There are a few that can kind of emulate this effect..I feel you are right that there is an equip card but can't think if it..the closest that comes to mind is the continuous trap Astral Barrier. It allows you to make an attack on any of your monsters by your opponent's monster a direct one. It was clearly meant to be used in combo with the similarly names continuous trap Spirit Barrier, that reduced damage by direct attacks to you to zero. It honestly wasn't even good when they came out. There were much better stall cards for a burn deck or to set up a field. The best use was maybe for something like weak direct attack decks or Nurse Reficul decks..but again both had better options. In times of multiple monster locks like Solar Flare Dragon and marauding captian, damage/battle destruction cards like Mirror Wall, mirror force, Sakaretsu Armor, Dimentional prison and Wabaku and battle prevention like Negate attack, Messenger of peace, Level Limit Area B and Gravity Bind; this felt unnecessary for the setup.

Plasma Eel was a substitution for Viser Des in the anime. Marik uses Viser Des against Mai and Joey in the manga.

It’s time to duel!

Charm of Lamentation would work in a Chimera deck... but if you can do multiple attacks with Illusion monsters, you could probably just win the game tbh.

You gotta try Rush Dueling with DM accurate character decks. Really fun. I say Rush duel but I mean just add draw till 5 amd infinite normal summons to regular dueling

Mask of Impregnability is completely useless if ever printed as is. Why? it's a card that blocks attacks at SPELL SPEED 1. Meaning, u can't activate it on ur opponents turn lmao. thankfully, we have plenty of better options like Threatening Roar.
