I was there 4 years ago. Our tour guide was excellent and explained things simply enough for even a dummy like me to understand. The most fascinating thing that I saw was when you stand in front of the pyramid and you clap your hands, there will be an echo that sounds like a bird call. It's incredibly uncanny and points to how well the Maya understood acoustics.

And why the ''already knew how to entertain'' They could obviously build huge cities without any modern gadgets and even take nature disasters into the account when building.. So how we see people back then as lesser then us, almost dumb sometimes...It says more about us then them really If anything... They would shake their head from seeing how we behave, and do not at all take good care of our homes

Tajmahal was built on deaths of millions of non muslims of India, how? During 1628 a artificial famine was in Deccan region ( middle region of India) because of war between Mughal empire ( india biggest and world 2nd most powerful) and Deccan sultanates where they burnt each other crops to disrupt food supplies, nearly 74 lakh/ 7.4 million people died, 20 million affected ( 14 percent of Mughal india population) but shahjhan gave 1lakh/ one hundred thousand money to fight artificial famine caused by him , but at same year gave 5 million to his wife on Persian newyear, 10,10 million to his both daughters, 9 million to various Persian, Arabic scholars, ambassadors ( means all foreigners) , and 2 years later he started build 32 million tajmahal, and more than 32 million on peacock throne ( single throne which so much jewels that it was bigger than 3 years revenue of Persia, more than economy of British at that time) . India was the biggest economy of the world from 5 thousands year to 1750s, and in 1630s also india was 24 percent of World gdp ( today USA is 19 percent of world) but Indian real people deprived from food even, because india was ruled by not indian rulers but from Turkic rulers who don't care about local public, Mughals collected 12 million gold coins every year ( today 3.5 billion/ 26 thousand crore ) and 20 percent 2.4 million was only for every year expense of royal , and 652 families of India had 72 percent of Indian wealth depsite Mughal empire being richest of World, on other hand few hindu kingdoms ( indian own rulers kingdoms) like Vijaynagar empire when visited by foreigners they got shocked by saw diamond, golds were sold on roads, every man woman were loaded with golds not only royals, 50-55 percent of total revenue spent of army and 20 percent on royalties, rest 25 percent for 24 million people.
