You missed a small detail. Early in the Namek arc, it is mentioned that Namek has a tradition revolving around the Dragon Balls. Strong Namekian warriors would gather and undergo trials to earn the 7 Dragon Balls during times of crisis to earn 3 wishes from Porunga. I think this ties back to Piccolo being a warrior Namekian who has undergone way too many trials involving Earth being under threat from aliens, more aliens, androids, magical pink blob, more aliens again, being transported to another universe, future god, full on erasure, magical goat who eats planets, and more androids. Piccolo has more than earned his wishes on the Dragon Balls because of his contribution in defending Earth. Shen Long was also originally HIS dragon. God, his other half, created Shen Long shortly after he dispelled the evil that is Piccolo from his heart. The fact that this being of pure evil would eventually become the ultimate force for good is ironic, but also counts as a trial for God. As we know, Piccolo is an amalgamation of 3 people: himself, God, and a warrior Namekian named Nail. Nail's trial was the entire Namek arc. He was the sole protector of the Saichōrō, or the Grand Elder. When Freeza came knocking, he knew he was outmatched, but he still went to fight him anyway just to buy time for the Earthlings to make their wishes. He then sacrificed his sense of self to Piccolo to give Namek a fighting chance in another Namekian who is stronger than him. As Piccolo, Nail's contribution in the defeat of Freeza was also nothing to scoff at. He singlehandedly kept 2nd form Freeza from killing everyone and bought time for Gokū to charge the Genki Dama. All 3 people which consists this Namekian we know today as Piccolo have more than earned their wish. God's evil half redeemed himself, Piccolo helped protect Earth countless times, and Nail gave his entire being to protect Namek. The culmination of these efforts give birth to Orange Piccolo, the ultimate Namekian warrior.

Bro, this is so on point! I’ve been saying for months that I believe that there’s some sort of “Dragon Realm”, and that this is where Zalama, Shenron, Parunga and other Dragons reside. With retconing the Namekians origins, I think that Toriyama has a bigger story he wants to tell with them, specifically with Piccolo. I believe by the time Super is over, Piccolo will have some kind of divine power/form directly linking him with Zalama and may even BECOME the next Dragon God.

While Yellow Piccolo is latent power unlocked which probably includes Kami and Nails, I think Orange Piccolo is a living dragonball, since he's also orange with a little red. The Dragonballs are sometimes a Namekian creation by essence, like Kami giving energy to the balls that maybe Shenron freed since he now has Dende as perhaps a battery, and part of their culture and the fact that a eternal dragon's power level depends on how powerful their creator is, that would probably mean that Orange Piccolo is a amplification of Yellow Piccolo's power. Kinda like the great ape of the saiyans when it comes to power levels. That maybe Piccolo has become a host of his own eternal dragon.

Piccolo isn't just Orange, because of the Dragon Balls. It was stated that Orange Piccolo was also Orange from the Asjia Trees that grow Oranges. Also the Asjia tree is a symbol of pride.

If i remember correctly evil namekians were a thing in dragon ball online which its elements would later be used in the xenoverse games they could be used in super or beyond

I think the Nakemiens where originally dragons. And over time like the saiyan apes the evolved to more human/bodily forms.

He isn’t, piccolo hasn’t even seen those forms since the Moro arc (which vegeta didn’t have ego at the time), they obviously got stronger in the granolah arc

I have a random question in regards to the destroyer gods and supreme kai's. Beerus had stated that his life is linked to the supreme Kai, so if the Kai dies Beerus also dies. Does that mean all supreme kai's have a destroyer god linked to them? Does that mean the supreme Kai of time we know from XenoVerse 2 has a destroyer god linked to her as well?

I would also like to point out, no wish ever in dragon ball has had something extra added. The dragon balls up to this point have been straight forward in the sense they do what you ask nothing else then they scatter... How odd

Since zalama is the only character to supercede Zeno, I theorize that he is actually the highest god of all, and Zeno is his creation. It bring up the question of how Zamasu was able to destroy the super dragon balls in the future, but if your theory is correct (and I hope it is) and zalama and the namekians come from another plane of existence, then the balls are just a link between worlds and Zamasu basically destroyed a key.

I'm not the first person to mention it but Zeno kinda comes across as the god of destruction to all universes, between the fact that the only power we see him use is erasing things, the fact that he has an angel attendant, and that he generally has a similar disposition to all the other gods of destruction we've spent any time with. If that's all true, I think Zeno may have a counterpart multiversal kai and the only being we've heard of that has comparable power is Zalama

Also, being able to return something Zeno deleted doesn't make the super balls more powerful than Zeno. Zeno could always and easily undo the dragons return of the universes

What if piccolo has 7 forms in total making him match the number of dragon ball. That would make him complete and orange is 2 of the 7 forms making green being 1. I think Blue should his next form

very good video, wish you dived a little deeper. the movie brought back some old dbz movies and lore and made it cannon just like they did with broly. the tree of might, lets me cook right quick. Eating the fruit immediately increases the user's muscle mass dramatically, and the user's body then quickly recedes back to its normal shape. It is unknown whether or not Turles' body would have been permanently bulked up had he eaten all of the fruits of the Tree of Might on Earth. we see this with Piccolo's new form after seeing the divine tree on his back with the dragon flying around it. why did they choose to show this at all? ill explain, "large amounts of energy are required to supply the fruit's growth and the tree essentially sucks the life out of the planet the seed was planted on. Despite all this, the Tree of Might is not truly evil but simply requires such a massive amount of energy to grow. Few, if any planets can sustain it without dying. King Kai mentions that only Gods are meant to eat the fruits; in the Funimation dub, King Kai says that the fruit was originally meant to feed the Eternal Dragons (Shenron, Porunga, etc.). " i believe both statements are true just one elaborating how the dragons are from the god realm. As we see in the Cannon movie, the dragon flys around the tree hinting at them eating it or enjoying it also adding to the "add in something extra" comment. the Shenron couldnt boost Piccolo as high as he wanted to deal with cell max, instead they released his full potential which should allow him to control his god ki that he originally had as he was a minor god of earth or demon, take your pick Kami was a god the name means god. then Shenron added the ability to tap in to the power of the tree of might to boost his power even further than what the dragon can. this boost was a very smart work around.

if goku got his potential unlocked when he was a kid, shouldnt he have the mystic form too? also shouldnt vegeta be due to be unlocked and be much more powerful than goku? btw nowhere is stated that gohan and piccolo are near goku's and vegeta's current level

Then gets put on babysitting duty to kids who were bumped straight up to super saiyan and more powerful than him day one the has to train them because they are Earth's last hope and you know Piccolo is like "Dende fusion looking real choice right now" the entire time he has to entertain this.

I love how they are expanding on the dragon ball lore. Long live Dragon Ball!

Somehow, Beerus is still stronger than all of them, isn't he? Remember when Beerus was hyping up SSG and they were both destroying the universe just by hitting each other? Toriyama, likely, doesn't. Even later when MUI Goku fights Moro, they can only cause a planet-sized shockwave from their clashes.

the guardian of earth has always been kami when he did the god ritual to attain god ki and become earths god he took on that role and kami's lockout was heaven bofore they retconed it in z

A couple things with this video. 1. Piccolo I believe is not UI and Ego level with his Orange Form. I believe he is more Omen/Blue Kaioken. 2. Dende didn't recreate the Earth Dragon Balls, he just reactivated them. The reason why Piccolo got the boost that he did, was because it was a symbol of passing. The Dragon truly became Dendes after that. Shenron gave back the power that was originally given to him by the Original Namekian that created him. Which also supports what people say that if Piccolo was Fused/was his original self he wouldn't have a problem with Frieza. But great video man keep up the good work 👍

Dende isn’t shenrons creator, and never did anything state that piccolo was stronger than UI or Ultra Ego

I'm gonna go on a bit of a tangent on this one. Zeno is the King of All, though it doesn't appear as though he has the power to Create. Serving him are Destruction Gods but there hasn't been mention of any Creation Gods. Angles do have the power to Create but they're heavily restricted and ultimately just attendants to the Gods of Destruction. They say that history is written by the victor; so maybe, Zeno isn't necessarily the "King of All" but instead, the Supreme God of Destruction. Which would leave someone else to be the Supreme God of Creation. Zalama has a Power that rivals that of Zeno, so he'd get my nomination. Similar to how Earth's original Namekian split himself into Kami and King Piccolo, perhaps Zalama split himself into the various branches of the Namekian species to counteract the effects of Zeno and his Gods of Destruction. With the exception of King Piccolo (which was pretty much our fault anyway), Namekians are generally thought of as agents of Creation. The multiverses do need to keep some Balance, so the Angels could have once been servants of Zalama but they now reside with the Destruction Gods to oversee some equilibrium. So wrapping all that up, the "something extra" would be quite literally connecting Piccolo with his roots of being a fragment of Zalama, the original Supreme God of Creation.

Gold piccolo is stupid. The fact that everyone now has color coded power ups really drives home how they lost the ability to tell you whos stronger without giving them a new color. piccolo used to be a demon

I agree with absolutely everything this video offered, Except the fact that with these new forms Orange and Beast , Piccolo and Gohan surpassed Goku, Vegeta and Broly. I refuse without concrete evidence, (and no, silly interviews with some of the producers and creators of the film; specially someone as contradicting as the wonderful Toriyama; saying something to please and confused the fan base dont count) that without a proper showing from the manga or the anime series, that effectively they can beat these 3 in a match, i will remain believing that they at the very best, reached This 3 Saiyan's level. Goku and Vegeta are training their Ultra forms, we dont even know how powerful Broly's best form matches with the ultra forms, since it took a fusion to stop him, im gonna put money on that broly is at least as powerful in Lssj as Jiren at full strength. So this would mean that both Ultra forms can stop legendary Broly, with effort, not toying around like Gogeta blue did. As per Orange Piccolo and Beast Gohan, i cant accept that a scientist created a being (cell max) more powerful than gods and members of the Justice Troopers, Jiren, Hit, Moro, Granolah and Gas. As reference, Piccolo and Gohan in the ToP werent even as powerful as Ssj God, let alone Blue, Blue evolution, Omen UI, Autonomous Ui, UEgo and now what ever true UI is. Are we supposed to accept that they jumped pass all the levels of these forms and other antagonist levels? In the span of one movie?. I believe they both got very close yes, but to say the word Surpassed so easily, nahhh. I need to see clear evidence first.

I'm not so sure the super dragon balls could make you more powerful than Zeno or anything like that. Technically supposed to grant any wish but at the end of the tournament of power the grand priest seemed pretty confident that anyone who made a selfish wish would've been wiped out with ease by Zeno. I'm sure they already thought of someone wishing to destroy Zeno or be stronger than him or the grand priest. So maybe some limits to the super dragon balls.

i know omni king doesn't have strength himself but no one attacking him all it takes is 1 click with his fingers to erase anything would be cool if gave himself strength he is the omni king so he probrbaly can just give himself the strength all we know he may seem super weak but he could actually be super strong as it would be a funny plot twist i mean look at the gag charcter in dragon ball aria was it she was very thing and small yet she could slap saitama about lol

The dragon balls are the same, but piccolo isn't linked to them anymore, despite shenron calling him lord. When kami merged with piccolo in the cell saga the dragon balls turned stones, that's because piccolo isn't part of dragon clan and can't be linked to them due being from warrior clan, that's why they needed dende in the cell saga, dende linked himself with the dragon balls.

Goku didn't summon zeno to universe 10 to destroy zamasu.. they were on earth in the future 4:27
