Little tip for all your connections. Just buy a packet of multicoloured cable ties. Much easier to match colours than read smudged masking tape.

I'll remember that one. I know twist ties or cable ties work great when stripping a wiring loom and trying to group things together. Or keep them in place where the branch off.
@philmenzies2477

@@BenMitro Not for the fasteners. Put a red cable tie on each end of the wires at the disconnect, (or lug and terminal), then a blue one on the one beside it, a green one next to that. Same with vacuum hoses and the barbs they go on. Even your brake lines so you dont cross a front with a rear at the manifold block. Linkage connections on your injector pump, bit harder to stuff up, but at least it gives you a starting point when you have those little ball and sockets and 3-4 actuator rods to line up.
Stubbies need to get on board with some new shorts for you fella's. Haha, but you lads are killing it as always. Cheers for the ep.

Keep that loop in the power steering line, it's used to cool the fluid using surface area, or get a transcooler or something if you want to tidy it up

deleted mine years ago but i use synthetic power steering fluid the clear colored one no issues at all. and im using a steering box out of an 09 gu top of the line model the one with the electrical connector (different ratio inside) one of the best mod ive done my steering is too light.

Early coil TD gqs use a loop under the rad, it's a much cleaner solution. You can make one up yourself from some copper pipe.

Best to keep the cooler if you do long tours or live in an area where temps get above 40. You don't need one in Tassie 😆

Hi Liam, I live in England and enjoy all watching your videos mate. Great project to get stuck into. I’ve done a few Land Rover over the years. When it’s done, treat yourself to some new shorts. Those are beyond repair 🤣😂

Great video again guys! Keep up the great work. I think this might just be my fave 4wd channel right now. why? Because it's real.💯
Really appreciate this. I sarted watching the next and realised I missed an episode. Great content, great sound and audio. Cheers guys. Fun to be along with this as I tackle my oen projects.
How good is that lift! Making it look easy for first timers. We’ll done!!
You can swap the centre if they are both h260s but your spline Count on the axles will be different, so you will also need to pull the centre apart and swap the side gears, not a difficult job though, you guys would work it out pretty easy. If the diff out of the coil is a h233 you won't be able to swap it though
Huge undertaking mate, goin well so far. Good on ya!
This is so crazy can't wait for turn of the key and your first track well done 👍👍👍👍👍
Progressing well fellas. Thanks for the content. cheers
That's a steering pump cooler. I have an old mk patrol and it gets hot. They did that to cool power steering fluid.
OMG, I'm getting emotional as the cab is being lifted. It must be the soundtrack....great film making.

If your GU diffs are h233 the lsd out of h260 won’t fit. You’ll need to find a lsd out of a h233 GQ or early model GU

Thanks Liam, always wondered what those cab/chassis loops were all about. Always wondered why there was no rubber in the. Recall asking the dealership when my vehicle was new, "Is there meant to be rubber in there". They never knew what they were for. You have solved the mystery for me. 👍👍 Thumbs up buddy.

Do your self a favour and replace the water pump for one that doesn’t cavitate and upgrade to a larger viscous fan hub also you can put a thermostat that opens earlier and radiator caps that can take a higher pressure that way with a standard radiator it will run cooler
To infinity & beyond!
so keen for more burky lets gooo

make sure you use genuine body, engine, and gearbox mounts! all but passenger side engine mount, use a racebred unbreabakle for that

Enjoying the content, looking forward to seeing the end product. If Liam is selling or scrapping the old bonnet, has he bought a new one, or is there a little surprise ???
Extra money but glad i did it, i put hydraulic tipper on the ute, besides being handy for jobs i can lift it up to get full access for maintenance & cleaning.. It makes modifying things & run’n wires so much easier.. Anyway good vid keep’m coming 👍..
Keep going Son it's getting a bit exciting 😎
I’m liking and commenting just cause of Brum!
Scuttle panel, that's a new word for something I didn't know what to call. Bonnet grille.😆 It looks like Cowl panel is the word we use in my country. But Scuttle panel sounds pretty cool.

Hi. It's interesting to listen to the mix of British English, Oz English and other area words used for bits of cars. I'd not come across 'guards' for wheel arches / mudguards, but it makes sense. I get 'bonnet' but no idea where it comes from. In the US I think it's called a hood, which seems a bit more sensible. Who puts gloves in a glove box anymore or parcels on a parcelshelf (rear shelf)? On a sedan, the rear box is either a boot or a trunk. The scuttle thing is interesting. Lots of places seem to call the bulkhead between the engine and compartment either a bulkhead or a firewall but 'scuttle-shake' is the common term for rattles in that area, esp for soft tops, rag tops, or are those cabriolets?
Gu run a oil cooler for power steering, buy a aftermarket transmission cooler and use it as a oil cooler for your power steering it'll be good for the power steering and cheap mod
you guys should do an update video on everyones cars
Keen to see what color your going to spray the cab
To solve ur diff query... twin locked on 35s and send it. Problem solved. Envious of you fellas, i never did anything like this at ur age. My only complaint is the episodes are too short 😂
top banana. How you guys like your cabs and truck is pretty interesting. Nowt like we have here, next to nowt here and the aftermarket 4x4 range is pretty poor..and expensive.
Nice... Very nice....
Sunday Morning by no doubt plays at deafening volume
It’s a spin for me as I was selling these new by the truck load. We’d advertise the the Land Magazine to gamers all over NSW. On the weekends we’d use our Navara to deliver them in the country.
Im pretty sure the 260 diff is physically larger than the 233 in all regards. Im rocking the 233 with LSD in a wagon and it does a really good job. Everything with the 260 was made bigger to handle the ute payloads. So youd have to use the whole setup from the rear to use the 260.
Common thing on the Gu airboxes the seal in the lid goes hard and then falls out
Amazing how much stuff can be removed before it becomes undriveable!
Would love to see a buyers guide, there isn't one on youtube. Even for car guys, black top, silver top...... what you can and cant do with each in terms of mods get confusing. Leaf or coil, long or short wheelbase, buying the right truck relative to what you want to use it for and how you want to mod it would be extremely useful.

BRUM!!!!🙌🏽🤣
blessed
just put a shim in your new diffs in the lsd will make it tight
Your Ute has h260 it won’t fit in a H233 housing, early model GUs had the big lsd
Keep it or get power steering fluid cooler needs the extra fluid it’ll hold
Can’t swap the diff centres without getting a coil H260 housing aswell
gu come with a actual power steering cooler lines are ran very similar might be something to look at
The leafy diffs wont work, pretty sure they run a different spline inside them because the axels are different
put a small trans cooler instead then you can run the lines for your p/s anywhere you like cheers Pete⛽ ⛽
hey boys just wondering what the cam you guys use on your hat is

I don’t think Nissan would be mad! If you need help with paint and panel stuff let me know or turbo/performance upgrades I can get you the hook up with raceworks stuff, also loved the video and loved the funeral music when the body came off hahha, you guys should 100% go over the engine with gaskets and seals new water pump ect while it’s out maybe a new clutch I can help out with that too if you need a hook up, - with the power steering, it would be good to simplify the system and run a smaller more out of the way cooler you can small 3inch x8 inch cooler that you could mount out of the way, power steering fluid does actually get really hot, for weight saving I would run an alloy snorkle if you aren’t going to re use the old one, don’t bother with stainless like everyone uses it is heavy and holds the heat,
@AussieArvos

Thanks Tristan! replaced the water pump and clutch about 20 thousand ago so they should be good for a while! Definitely will look into a power steering cooler as a few others have recommended it aswell. Still sussing out snorkel options at the moment so will have a look around!
