Love this nerd stuff. You don't get that good without being a full on skate nerd

love it. that's the common trait amongst the goats in any profession. lebron, mj, tiger, mayweather, brady, messi, jon jones. you don't "accidently" become a great. it's a lifestyle instead of a career. and that applies to everything in life, not just sports.

"b-but he took a sponsorship from a non-skating brand, so he's a sellout and a bad person" - the fukking nerds that hate on him
You see this with all the greats in every field, tech, sports, science. It’s a borderline obsession and they are so articulate because they can break it down in such a technical and precise manner to analyze and perfect their craft.
Whatever he's doing, it's working wonders for him.
I like that people aren’t hating on Nyjah as much nowadays. Let that man live he has pushed skating to different levels, so what if he’s different or doesn’t follow the trends, he’s always killed it.

I discovered him in tony hawk proving ground and at a time where I personally didn't see many dreadhead skaters, let alone as good as him(I have dreads)he became my favorite skater. It's nice to know he has become a legend
Dude this guy had a gnarly childhood. He is definitely obsessed with skating. You’re not as good as he was at so young and not be obsessed. Especially since he was socially secluded because of his dad. I’m sure he finally felt freedom and enjoyed it a little too much here and there (like everyone). No one is perfect. This dude is insane at skating though.
Goat material. I respect every single word. Technique is everything.

This man put out the craziest element part at like 12 or 13 and now hes on top it’s cool to see. That part I use to watch over and over was one of the first videos my older brother showed me
Love the details man.
I member watching Jah on VHS tapes skating with his huge dreds skating and the skateboard was as tall as him....❤
Am I the only one getting an aneurysm from how often he says “like”?
Nyjah is a beast no matter what ! Dude straight kills it on a skateboard 🤘
With a fresh board and shoes, the back would always come up and slam into my ankle bone. I fucking hated it, once it gets worn out a bit, everything becomes way easier.

Lol. Exactly what I was thinking. You can only do with if you have a lot of expendable shoes.
nyjah is a robot, the precision on his tricks is nuts
There’s definitely a balance of where of board shoe and human to know what works best everything new sucks until it is great
I actually think he is very likable, when he shows his true personality.
This dude will probably go down as THE goat.
I learned how to do kickflips from watching Nyjah's kickflip videos. Thanks for the tips Nyjah.
The Goat , i was there for his prime SLS days.. Nobody was fuck wit Nyjah
That’s why he’s the goat
BigggUp
he GOATED
Let’s make shoes sand-able the. You can be like Nyjah 😂😂😂
I saw this guy at x games this weekend fun guy to watch skate
Y'all boys better not hate on the goat
I like that shoe
Dude is just a cool ass dude
Lol this is dope..become one with your board. Everybody that’s rides has their own unique way
homie has his own style!
I remember watching him when he was a kid with dreadlocks, and he did the craziest shit I've ever seen on the rail! I don't know the name of the trick, but it was gnarly!
Trust the process
Words from the skate God
I agree. I have to skate shoes for couple days doing flips before they become flush the way I like them.
Mike Davis would do manual tricks with cruiser wheels only on the front or back truck. Rip ❤
Love that shoe
He may aswell design a shoe around this concept 🔥
I’m the same way I honestly am pretty picky with shoes when it comes up to me deciding if I have the choice or if they’re just fillers because my last ones ripped either way, getting that groove on a fresh pair of shoes is the best, crisp pop, sticky flick and just secure landing
Wimers the one who's a foot above the rail he flips into but his kickflips are all identical too
I use the bottom of the end of my foot to push the board down to kick flip it. I skate goofy and only goofy. Back foot pops the tail up...front foot pushes and snaps the board down on the side so it rotates once clockwise. I barely make it every time
That's an interesting idea. He should make a pair of shoes that come like that.
Met him and Domo Walker at volcom park on vacation
I agree 100% it's nyjah of corse this legend knows all the hacks just like Andy with his new wheels out that don't show the blots so u can do coconut wheelies more easily.
Legend
Are those nyjahs pro model shoes? What are they? They are tough
I agree 100% about the shoe thing . I've never skated better then when the toe of my shoe was worn down some . It gives u like a mold for ur flips
@QuillyMundo7
10 ай бұрын
Thats facts
That’s legit to see he knows why he does something for him
When I road this is the way I learned to kick flip I felt I was actually able to spin the board faster and thus catch double flips
My dad used to used a Dremel to cut a thick nail of one of his big toes. It got crushed when a weight slipped off his bar and crushed it like a tomato.
I always sand my new shoes with old grip and my new grip with old shoes. Always.
❤when you wear New shoe's everyday😂
Take a shot every time he says the word Like.
Watch his footage from element twigs i figured he developed the toe hold on his flips cuz his feet were so small as a kid 😅
Nyjahs the goat
When I used to skateboard every time I gripped my board, I would take the excess grip tape and sand down the grip tape, so it wasn’t so aggressive
He looks like 2001 AI
I know precisely what he means. I flick my front foot hard an bring my foot around, same with my tres. If it's to grippy the board just flies out from under me 😅
He’d probably like DKL grip tape. I use it for the same reasons he mentioned. It’s like the loose trucks of grip tape.
Should make the shoe already sanded 😂
I dont sand my shoes but i deff sand my grip hate freah grip lol
I just put a husky patch there😅on the shoe
It’s the grip tape that’s the secret. Mob be hella grippy sometimes grips too much, jessup is for tractors you novices, but paradox was the most mellow grippy grip tape I’ve ever used. Gave you the grip you wanted without tearing up your shoes Instantly. Don’t know if they are around still but they were sick grip.
Kick with the toes , when I skated I would heel flip with my toes as well
interesting thing about podcasts and journalists is pod cast people always feel like they have to say something intermittently instead of letting them finish their thought
I used to love sanding down my grip, new grip sucks
not anything to do with the conversation...but, as a straight guy, I gotta say, this kat is a very handsome, seemingly, humble guy. He got some clean deck of cards dealt to him - haha😂
I would like to make some super fine grain grip for Nyjah
Dremel for the win!
If anyone else sanded their shoes theyd be called a poser😂
Are the Nyjah 3 any good? My Nike sb blazer mids are almost done after a little over 3 months of skating everyday. And they could last way longer if I put shoe goo on it.
Shoe Sponsor - no problem
Never undeestood the nyjah hate
It may help, but nobody without a shoe sponsor is sanding down their soles lol
@aidinlayne
Жыл бұрын
True this is just extra, people with real skill don’t need to sand down or ride the tightest trucks known to man
U flick like that because u learned to kick flip when u was young and really really short I remember watching ur element tricks part and seeing u kickflip and how unique and clean u could get it at like 8 years old
That's the difference in levels between hobby and occupation
I used to sand the sides of my shoes down too. So it looked like i skate...😅
Nike: Nyjah: You sponsor me and I still have to make your shoes better
Thats the difference between a pro at something and amateur lol dude knows what he likes and the how to make it happen
