I’m 66 years old and I still have a lifelong love-hate relationship with food. Everything she spoke about I have experienced: the clean plate club, food as love, restriction of certain foods, labeling foods as good or bad, conflicting and confusing advice about which foods I should be eating. GAH! It’s crazy-making!

I just lost my best friend to obesity, she was only 50. I miss her so much. She goes to an E.R. for a respiratory infection and was given insulin and in 90 minutes she goes into a coma and dies in 10 days, horrible death. She was 450 lbs. I knew her when she was at 150.
