That same set up works well off the jetty’s. Been doin it for years. Old guy showed me it off drug jetty years ago when I lived on the island. Love your vids and your passion for the sport. Don’t ever change.
Great vid. I observed lots of cool sand flea wash action last summer. Rays cruising up onto the beach and schoolie bass patrolling, I even saw either a thresher or marlin farther out in the surf- it was badass. I’m def adding this rig and sand flea approach to my quiver this year. Thanks!
A great way to catch bass on sand fleas is to get a small bucktail and drag it on the bottom and stop and start. But keep it on the bottom dragging in to store. I know it sounds crazy but I’ve caught many this way and my personal best this way. I normally do this when they are being picky. Because kicking up the sand helps they think it’s a stand flea or crab. This works great in clear water
Great stuff Dillon, keep grinding away. I love your passion and only hope that young people can learn and appreciate these unique and challenging fisheries that we have in NJ. I really like the content and way you explain things. Keep angling brother!!

Sleeping in the car eating ice cream..and fishing. A trifecta of wonderfulness. I remember sleeping in my car by the old brigantine bridge fishing pier back in the day when you could drive your car back there. Dodging mosquitos and greenheads. Sand fleas great bait for pompano in the Outer Banks. Great vid brother.
Great cinematography skills, awesome content, great narrator! Hoping the best for you in the future🤜🤛

Great video, love your narrative and energy. New sub. Thanks.
I'm impressed you have so much energy to keep fishing and pumping out all these videos. I sometimes make private videos for fun, but I only do it a few times a year haha. Anyway, I've been watching your content for a while and I have to say that it's honestly a lot more entertaining than much more popular youtubers. Keep it up!

never heard of 5 feet drop, something new for me but cool. Good catch.
Pulled a 33lb striper off the boat on artificial eel. A few 10-12 lb blues. Long Island Sound. I’ll be on the beach in LBI in the fall. LfG 🔥🔥

GREAT VIDEO BROTHER!!
Good stuff dude! Im like 99% sure I actually met you this day. I was walking back to my truck, and you were walking to the water. You seemed somewhat familiar, but I was so drained from all of the walking I did that I didn’t even recognize you lol. You told me that you caught like 20 short fluke the day before. I got a nice 17.5” that day. Also I was seeing those bass right at the shoreline that day and was shocked that they were that close.

Great video! One $5 minnow trap will give you 2 awesome devices to catch sand fleas. Just use a half to rake the sand fleas and sieve out the sand.

This is a no brainer! Super low cost, the kids will be entertained catching them, compact storage in the shed, and free bait for years. Great suggestion!
I found out, you can use a dropshot to catch stripers. If you use a drop shot rig use like a 4/0 to 5/0 circle hook. Then use at least 15 to 17 lb monofilament line. I had a striper bite. Sadly line was to light was on 8lb line. I was going for large mouth but a descent striper hit. I threw my line near brush boardering a pocket near the shore line. The pocket extendended 12 plus feet out from the shore line. I changed my dropshot to 15lb line. Next time a striper hits ill be ready. I used a mullet colored 5 inch fluke and used trophy bass attractant the striper crushed it. The water was stained, but with quality waterbased attractant the striper smelled lure and bit lure. Fought like crazy but broke off because of light line 😢😮
Sleep days , fish nights. 👍
Where do you usually fish? I’ve been trying to get into fishing the surf like you do but I can’t or don’t know where to start.
Damn you call that a schoolie? That one was huge. Haha
I have no problem catching striped bass from the surf in the summer, but my problem is they’re usually not very big 😭 (Minas basin, Nova Scotia 🇨🇦)
Put a hat on buddy 👯♀️
Montage bjajaba 🤣 🔥🎣🤟🏻
Love it. What state is this
What kind of back pack is that if you don’t mind me asking
Nice
Are you using hard shell sand crabs or only soft shell would work? Or it doesn’t matter? Thanks!
can you help me with finding a very universal rod and reel, one that can do it all? Love your vids man keep up the great work!
i fish the long island sound from shore. Does it matter whether it is low tide or high tide?
Yeaa v nice
Great vid! What month is it? and Is that NJ or Long Island? I’ve caught strippers like that till mid June in Long Island same technique.
Dillon get 2 buckets one to scoop sand pleas one to store them in
You don't do any crabbing down there? There are some premium back bays, slow rivers, etc. in South Jersey to crab. You could do a Catch "N Cook.
