My daughter and I were there a few months ago, and got the required photos of her either pushing the house over, or trying to stop it falling down. I remember the jewelry store as well from the first time I was at Windsor, about ten years ago. But I don't believe the tunnel story however; seems to coincidental that it would lead from the caste directly to a house that would have been so well known. Maybe a tunnel to the pub behind it instead!

Hi mcarp555 thanks for watching. Yes the tunnel is just a rumour, but one that will never be resolved. I'm sure if you asked the powers-that-be they would deny its existence but then they would say that wouldn't they!

Love your videos. Such fun with some fascinating facts. One small point of fact. The Queen is not the owner of Windsor Castle. She privately owns Balmoral and Sandringham, Windsor Castle is, I believe, part of the portfolio of The Crown Estate.

On that guild hall, when Sir Christopher Wren designed it, the council thought that it needed more pillars to support it, so Wren was forced to alter the design😮. By way of getting his own back, and proving his design sound, the additional pillars stop short of the roof by 1” and still do, proving he was right!! Or something like that anyway!!!!!

Another enjoyable post. I think I have seen this place before. I cannot believe how expensive it is. It would be wonderful if the story of the tunnel was true. It seems that councils haven't changed on some things being cheaply done. I would love to know what it looks like inside. Happy new year.

Also, 02:19 you can see an interior shot. You might have to wait till its sold, and reopened under the new owners before you can have a proper snoop inside.

@@lesleysmith51 I think it's because of the footfall. It's one of the most popular tourist destinations outside of Central London so will have plenty of passing traffic, and you would have thought a shop would do quite well there. I wonder why the previous businesses closed down?

When the narrator said the image wasn't Photoshopped, he wasn't kidding. I just saw it on another video and yes, it *actually* looks like that. 🙂

Hi Ben (narrator here 😉) thanks for watching. The house is definitely worth a visit if ever you find yourself in Windsor, it really is that wonky....it may even have a tenant now so you could have a look inside.

There is a house as bad as this in Rochester high street, I'm sure it does not have the same back story but worth a look on you tube. Listed building like it😂😂😂

Hi Wendy, yes just had a look at the house on Google images. It's one of those buildings that was built wider on the 1st and 2nd floors than on the ground floor.
