Ойын-сауық

So I was actually lucky enough to win a night in the castle suite during the Year of a Million Dreams! It was absolutely amazing. I was in 7th grade, and I was the first person to ride a certain Dumbo after 9:05 in the morning. Cast members approached me when I got off the ride, and told me and my parents that we had won something special. They took us to Pinnochio's Village Haus (this was pre-New Fantasyland, so Dumbo was still close by) and played a portable DVD letting us know we won the castle suite. We were escorted back to our hotel to pack for the night, were grand marshalls in the afternoon parade, got a personal guide around the park, dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, VIP seats for the nighttime parade and fireworks, and breakfast the next morning at Crystal Palace. The entire experience was surreal.

@@geensloth911 We spent a few hours in the suite after initially winning and then went back out to enjoy the park. We didn't go back up until after the fireworks and I don't think we would have been allowed to leave since the park was closing. There was a phone to the front desk and I imagine they could have brought us food, but we didn't use it. Though there was a solid white chocolate Cinderella's pumpkin carriage filled with chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us when we entered the room after the fireworks!

Before they made it into the Dream Suite, the apartment over Pirates was the Disney Gallery--a wonderful art gallery of limited edition art by Disney masters and special exhibits, signings by imagineers, etc. etc. They also had a special dessert seating on the balcony to watch Fantasmic. I was there often.

Until they realized they could make money from the balcony, some of us passholders figured it out and used it to view Fantasmic. Then, it became a VIP viewing spot. You could get on a list and get a spot there if no VIPs were interested. Then --they switched to selling spots on the balcony. (Not worth it, though the balcony in Club 33 was a great spot, too, if you were lucky enough to have the opportunity to dine there.)

When I visited Disneyland in 1976, my uncle had reserved a secret room that's between the Plaza Inn and the entrance to Tomorrowland. It's right next to the restrooms on the Main Street side. It had a sofa, chairs, and a sink with glasses, and I think a little refrigerator. It was pretty small, but still cool to be there. I assume they still use that room for business clients to have a private getaway.

She also got us the big thunder suite for 2 nights. We were married in the morning infant of the castle before the park opened. My best friend did the 21 Royal experience for her birthday and it was amazing. The food was incredible, the staff was super nice. You get butlers the whole time you’re in there. And we got to see all the special touches in each room in person. The staff wouldn’t tell us where each button for the effects were was so part of the fun was running around in our dresses and heels trying to find them. Despite being right above Pirates, the patio is very quiet. There’s “fireflies” in the trees which is the same effect for the fireflies in pirates, and it was really cool being able to walk up to them and see how it’s done. The view for Fantasmic was perfect and we got to sit in comfy patio furniture with tea and hot chocolate. At the end they give you a gift bag and one of the things inside is a trading pin you can only get by doing 21 Royal. By the end of the night, you will have bonded with the staff so much, it will become hard to say goodbye to them and go back to your hotel. I probably won’t get to but I’d give anything to do it again.

The Disneyland Dream Suites spent several years as the Disneyland Gallery, featuring high end art and a location for author signings. The Gallery featured the beautiful balcony overlooking the Rivers of America and was the location for VIP viewing and dessert events for Fantasmic! It was remarkably quiet and empty during large sections of the day, and a greT place to just sit and chill.

Walt, and his family moved from Loz Feliz, to their much larger home (Walt would have his model train here) in Holmby Hills in 1950. About 5 years before the grand opening of Disneyland.

I can't imagine being able to stay overnight in the magic Kingdom! If only I was a long lost grandkid of Walt's! Hahaha. I think it's quite sad Walt's family didn't continue w his legacy n stay in the apartments he had built for them to be together as family! I lost my Mom in '07 n I love going places that I feel close to her! I love Disneyland! I'd love to go there again!

The Dream Suite was never meant to be Walt's Florida apartment. It was always just empty space that the Imagineers wanted to put to good use. Sort of like how Walt wanted to turn the empty space in Sleeping beauty Castle into something, resulting in the Castle Walkthrough.

The dream suite was once a gallery of Disney art and the history of Disneyland. There was a painting above the fireplace that showed how the apartment would have looked like if it was completed for Disney. Also I remember seeing the fire pole in the firehouse on Main Street as a child in the 1970s. It was not boarded up. But years later in my teens I found it missing and I heard about an adult trying to get inside the apartment to have a look before tours were being given for a fee of the apartment.🏰🏰

1:27 Correction: Walt Disney had moved from his Los Feliz home long before Disneyland's construction and operation. He and his family had moved to a larger home in Homby Hills (located just north of Sunset Blvd in between Bel Air and Beverly Hills) in 1950.

I agree that some "ordinary" people should get the chance of a lifetime to stay in that suite! Not save it for a celebrity. It would be perfect for Make-A-Wish, or an unsuspecting family who maybe broke the piggy banks to take the trip! Not a celebrity or athlete who could buy a hotel. Somebody who would appreciate it.🇺🇸😷

Dear parents! Let the kids choose their favourite Disney Parks souvenirs!!! When the kids are very good, then they deserve more souvenirs. Every good behaviour kid should have 1-2 bags of Disney Parks souvenirs: plush toys, toys, mini figures, bubble blower, Mickey ears, t-shirts, jacket, drinking bottle, and some pins or magnets and etc. Please buy only those Disney Parks souvenirs, what the kids very want!!!! I know many Disney souvenirs are very expensive, but when the kids are very good all the times, then sometimes they deserve these things!!! Please be kind parents and make Your kids very happy with these Disney Parks souvenirs, what the kids have chosen and don’t say NO all the times, when the kids very deserves those Disney Parks souvenirs for good behaviour!!!
