Close. That's a cowbird, a different kind of brood parasite. Doesn't push the eggs or chicks (on purpose,) but it's big, clumsy, loud, and pushy.

In some cultures, they refer to all chicks as "cuckoos." I had to learn this as well.

That isn't a cuckoo

In some cultures/countries, all little chicks are called cuckoos. They don't mean it in the literal sense. It's just a general name for all birds. I got a lesson on this from a few people in other places when i corrected them. Some didn’t know what an actual cuckoo bird was. Just thought I'd throw that fyi out here.
