You bring up a good point about how so many other storylines (Tyrion, Dorne, Dany) revolve around Aegon that it's arguably the worst thing that they removed from the show because of the vacuum it created

I think we’re greatly underestimating how messed up Jon will be once he comes back…I don’t think he’s gonna sit around while all of this is going on down south, and I think bro’s gonna be on demon time. He may find out about his heritage way sooner than we think and he might be the first one to actually steal one of Dany’s dragons when she refuses to help the north, and fly off with him in the night. The second dance of dragons (if it happens) will probably be more chaotic than the first. Jon in the north with Rhaegal (flying a dragon named after his father, kinda symbolising him really being Rhaegar’s son) and Aegon will bond with Viserion and fly him to King’s Landing. Euron could be the “old one” that’s referenced like you said and take the Cannibal…and then all hell is going to break lose.

I’m with you on Jon being more ruthless. I feel like the fandom has a major Jon bias so many like to believe that he’s good dany bad but the reality is that both of them are gonna do some fucked up things moving forward. i think they’ll still play a heroic role in the end but they’ll do some terrible things on the way there.

Its vary unlikely jon would steal Danys dragon as i doubt that would be the first thing he does when he finds out hes rhagars son, and it doesn't make any sense for dany to refuse to help Jon when its tge world at stake dany has always consistently chosen the needs of the people over her own desires and ambitions so she would more likely go with him then not .

i love the theory of jon, dany and aegon being a parallel for aegon and his sisterwives and the three of them getting married (... red dragon, black dragon, a dragon is still a dragon). its only wishful thinking though, knowing how brutal ASOIAF has been until now. Great vid!

@@thatoneblackdude3333 i think i came off as a bit negative, that wasnt my intention. i mean there is def a possibility of this happening, but i think there are many roadblocks they (especially dany being so far away from westeros) will have to go through first. they would have to win over the faith, the smallfolk of kingslanding and whatever is happening there, and then the wights at the wall, and Euron... i would love to see them triumph and be somewhat happy for once, at least for a while. so until TWOW and ADOS are out (that is actual wishful thinking) we have no way of knowing how the story's going to unravel

Nah, Daenerys being trueborn and (F)Aegon being known by most magical/prophetic people as a "Mummer's Dragon" has me thinking it's gotta be her to win this one. The true Female Heir over the false Male Heir, whereas the first time around, the female heir was the one who had bastards and the male heir was the legitimate one with the symbols backing him

This perseved conflict also has made it apparent that people romanticize faegon a lot and expect him to be this perfect king whos going to fix everything when hes not potrayed that way at all in the story and they just blindly take varys words at face value when hes one of the most unreliable narrators in the story, faergons personality and behavior also doesn't match what varys says about him but people disregard this because they like the idea of him so much to pay attention to what George is actually doing with faegon hes a deconstruction of the returned prince Troup, hes not the perfect king nor is he even a Prince at all hes a fake but fans ignore this in favor of what they want even going as far to suggest hes actually real even tho all proof leads to him being a blackfaire they want him to be there wish fulfillment fantasy so badly no matter how much it doesn't fit the story, they so badly want faegon to be the " main character" regardless of how illogical it is , he showed uo literally in the 5th book and had done nothing to gain respect or love if anything hes done tte opposite and yet people in this thread are convinced hes gonna be a great king theyd rather cling to delusion then accept reality.

I think dany rides all 3 dragons. I think her recalling that not even aegon the conqueror did is a red herring. The conquerors aren't the pinnacle of targaryen potential, they didn't hatch petrified dragons in an untaught fire ritual. The targaryens dream and waits for a "prince who was *promised*" and their sigil is a single entity with 3 heads (dany hatched 3 dragons, wears a 3 headed crown and is the child of 3). I think all 3 dragons are a representation of daenerys' characters. Everyone who looks at the "three heads has *the dragon*" prophesy and thinks its multiple people (even though its referring to *the dragon*; a single entity) gets a reality check. Rhaegar thinks naming his 3 kids after the 3 conqueror will forcefully bring about the prophesy but his 3rd child was jon (named viserys? But definitely not visenya) and it brings about the end of his house I think the distinction lies in the fact that dany is unlike all prior targaryen by both her actions and her potential (thats why the targaryens themselves at their peak power were in awe of this prophesy). The child if 3 rides the 3 dragons. Also everyone wants jon on a dragon but that just mean 1 less capable sword wielding person capable of leading on the ground. Jons skill and knowledge of the wall means he's more capable on the ground leading an assult with his wolf.

Don't know about how the Dance will comence but my theory is that Dany has to choose between Feagon and Jon with Jon having the support of the North and the Riverlands maybe the Vale and Faegon has Dorne, Reach and Stormlands which kinda looks like the first Dance.

Im glad you actually mentioned Aerys didinheriting Rheagars kids. So many people skip over that but its incredibly important. Sure Jon and Faegon are both males, which would publiclly give them a stronger claim, but those are exactly the kind of ideals George is trying to tear down.

Despite 2 or 3 dragons writhing to escape my skull in explosive fiery fury, I can't help but go on crusade with Chris. 🗡🔪

I think Dany will have to burn King's Landing to save it because Jon Connington have greyscale and he will probably became stone man and he will spread sickness and then Dany comes as a questionable savior but knowing Dany she will want to save those people

This would also be a good reason for why Dany doesn’t attack KL immediately. Instead of being the one person with a dragon, Aegon might have Rhaegal. That would result in a dragon battle right over the city and would basically destroy it regardless of the wildfire. So Dany’s strategy would probably be to attack other areas to draw Aegon away from the city to avoid the carnage happening right on top of the capital. Kind of like Robert’s musings on the Dothraki in the show, Aegon would be holed up in the Red Keep while Daenerys and her Dothraki are sacking the countryside, potentially turning the people against him if he doesn’t do anything to help them with his dragon

@@nevaehaho61 I don't think so, Dany is not just another Targaryen, she is literally The Mother Of Dragons, they are not just her dragons, they are her children (she brought them to life, she breastfed them, and raised them), I believe she will be the first Targaryen to be able to ride more than just one dragon (especially Viserion because he is the closest to Dany), and I think Rhaegal will only be ridden by Euron and only because of his dragon horn, that's what i think is going to be the dance of the dragons where Dany fights Euron and is forced to kill her child because Euron is absolutely controlling him and using him to install terror.

It’s in the dragons’ instincts to bond with a rider (Rhaegal even starts to form a bond with Rhaego when he was still an egg and Dany was pregnant). A dragonrider bond might overpower that, or maybe we’ll see the dragons struggle which would be interesting as well

Let's not forget the theory that Cersei - so close to wildfire - will blow up KL with fAegon's army within it. It's suicidal, but she would defeat the only nextdoor enemy she has and will do what the Mad King couldn't. And while rhe green blazes consume her, she would be killed by Jaime, knowing that he is the Valonqar. Jaime dies with her, twice a slayer of monarchs.

One thing to note about dragonbinder is that Moqorro tells Victarion that no matter who blows on it the dragon will go to its master, and so he tells Victarion that to own the horn he has to aquire it by blood, meaning we might see Victarion ride a dragon (would be dope as fuck but he'll probably fail as usual)

Always glad to see more of you, but I kinda noticed something. You open up saying there will be no spoilers for the House of the Dragon, but then right after you kinda flat out say "House of the dragon tells the story of the Dance of the Dragons" But then you also say after this "And it's how Daenery's ancestors lost their family dragons" I'm a little autistic and might be interpreting this wrong, but doesn't this kinda imply/spoil the show's war as its the end of all dragons etc? I don't know, just sometime I noticed.

Honestly, Faegon is not a terrible potential ruler. He has a temper but is willing to listen to tryions counsel and deems his plan as a good alternative to the poor choice he was left with. He's charismatic and humble enough to realize he might be wrong to go with his previous plan. Even if he is a blackfyre he doesnt seem like he'd be a bad ruler.

Everyone assuming the second dance has to be between Dany and faegon have a terrible problem of looking at this story at face value and disregarding character to personality, as well as timing, gourge literally said it doesn't mean danys involved therefore theres a likely chance she isn't she already has a lot to do in essos and it isn't going to be done halfway in winds or at slavers bay its more likely dany won't reach westsros till the end of winds . It also doesn't make narrative since for dany to fight faegon because if she believes hes her nephew she wont fight him she isn't rheanyra family is extremely important to her she named two of her 3 dragons off of her brothers one of whom she hasn't even met, it also wouldn't make sense because dany is so much more powerful then faegon, the idea that people are just going to blindly believe faegon is who he says he is with zero proof are delusional and naive tell me when has any plan ever made gone that smovely? It's even worse because its not even backed up by the books faegon is already in westaros and nobody believes hes aegon especially not dorne nor do people like him , the idea that he will be accepted over dany is laughable when its stated in the book that he needs dany for his claim to be taken seriously, his gender alone is not enough to put him above Dany and his own men state he'd more likely be her consort rather then her king regent HIS OWN MEN ARE SAYING THIS. People also see dany as there rightful queen drinking secret toasts to her , when she comes to westaros with a army and 3 dragons people would sooner side with dany over some kid who claims to be aegon with no proof . So who would the second dance be about? Well i think thats were jon comes in there needs to be a reason for his identity to be important and serve a purpose in the narrative him fighting faegon is a good way to do this , it would get jon involved in the south plot and give him something to do in general after taking winterfell, it would also give faegon a actual chance because compared to jon he is more likely to be belived as rhagars son over jon due to his physical appearance, the conflict would be a lot more equal because id be normal army vs normal army rather then normal army vs 3 dragons. When thinking about the second dance everyone is looking at the wrong Targaryen trying to make the events of the show make sense refusing to accept d&d made it up like they've done multiple timee before.

@@Aydan2108 like it's obvious these people aren't paying attention to what's actually happening in this story and are obsessed with there own theories not seeing that they don't actually fit in the narrative, faegon is a unknown alien nobody likes whole westaros knows who Dany is , faegon has no proof he's rhagars son while Dany has 3 fucking dragons the literal physical embodiment of her house , Dany has feats and has ruled while faegon has nothing, like even in the original dance rhenyrea has more allies and the upper hand over aegon 2 dispute actually being the kings son , faegon is a nobody who no one believes he's aegon, with a army who is natoruous for fighting westsros and people seriously believe people are just going to accept him over the liberator of essos ? Gourge said the second dance doesn't mean Dany is involved for a reason because he knows it wouldn't make sense to make these two people fight , id be way to one sided people also forget faegon was supposed to marry Dany not be her rival for the throne , Jon fighting faegon makes way more since, he's already on westaros so he wouldn't need to break reality like Dany to fight him, as king in the north and wanting to unite westaros for the long night he'd have more reasons to fight faegon then Dany, and because he doesn't have 3 dragons the fight would be more even and id be a call back to the first blackfaire rebellion with the roles reversed vs the dance but lamer, jon vs faegon to me makes more sense and is far more interesting.

It would actually make more sense that Jon and FAegon would actually fight each other and thus create a second "dance of dragons". It could be a fight between the North (aka the Riverlands and the Vale) against the South (aka the Reach, the Stormlands, Dorne, etc.). Jon was named heir by his supposed half brother Robb and if he realizes that he's the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna he would definitely try to claim his birth right in order to bring the realm together or gain more power and find his place in society. Jon was always ambitious and he often dreams about Winterfell being his (a fact he's ashamed of, but he still desires it). He also dreams about the Winterfell crypts and how the old kings of winter tell him that he doesn't belong there. With this feeling of not being a Stark (strengthed by the hate of Catelyn Stark), it would make sense for him to embrace his Targaryen heritage and thus claim the throne. He himself was ready to join Stannis and be lord of Winterfell, if he hadn't be voted to become lord commander. His resurrection could change his appearance, him having white hair and red eyes, and his personality. Thus making him more willing to fight brutally and without mercy. I guess we all have to wait, but I truly hope that G.R.R. Martin allows at least Daenerys to have a happy ending or rather show the fans that Daenerys will not turn mad, regardless of how popular this false myth is.

I know it’s crazy to say but after game of thrones ending it’s so many possibilities like george rr martin still writing winds of winter they said in a leak source it will be released during 2024 or 2025 they probably gonna get the official announcement by december anyways enough talkin about him now im gonna talk about daenerys and jon snow i think the jon snow series ain’t dropped completely i have a feeling they are just waiting on george rr martin to release winds of winter let’s just hope it comes 2024/2025 like the source said I have a good feeling about this source cause last time he said something bout game of thrones it came true like when season 6 was coming out he said they are gonna do a prequel at that time nobody even knew we got house of dragons confirmed in 2020 that was 2 years before it even was a announced so yeah I have faith in this source and winds of winter not the last book for fans that don’t kno he also have another book coming

Watching this video, it occurred to me that the blackfyres never had dragons. If the Aegon Blackfyre theory is true, I believe he will either be killed when attempting to bond with one of Danys dragons or simply will not be able to get a dragon. I'm not saying only targaryens can be dragon riders, but targ dragons specifically are super picky

This thumbnail reminds me they can't make Rhaenyra do something as stupid as what they did to Daenarys. Low expectations for HOTD actually gave some appreciation for a Targaryen civil war, and trying to make the greens more than one dimensional. I do wonder however about Aegon's total relevance given the scope of the series. He's a good diversion, but Drogo, Renly, Balon Greyjoy, hell even Robb were touted as large political rebels, and all of them died in ways that highlight mistakes with politics or recklessness. The Golden Company and Jon are great characters, but would a realm in winter, this being so late in the series really be the winners? I can see WOW Danny getting to Westeros in the end, and sweeping up, but Aegon is so fast and proud I never see them being equals, potentially his murder could be a catalyst for destroying Greyjoy and Lannister antagonists utterly so the Wall can be defended. I liked the video a lot, the best reasoned lore take on the Aegon subject I've seen. I also think Pentos or perhaps Volantis will certainly be seen in the chapter before Daenarys invades, possibly to grant it to loyal subjects and give an impression of momentum to offset her stalling in part 2 of DWD

I see Young Griff as a very overrated character. Honestly, he reminds me of Perkin Warbeck during the early Tudor Dynasty. He and the Golden Company are already in Westeros and are pillaging and plundering the nobles and smallfolk of the Stormlands, in addition to the rape tales described in Arianne's sample chapter in TWOW, damaging his image. The golden company's own mercenaries are not well regarded in Westeros and the boy still has a questionable identity. I'm pretty sure that the high sparrow depends on the continuity of Tommen's reign to maintain the effectiveness of the edict that restores the powers and legality of the militant faith. It wouldn't be in the sparrows' best interest to risk their already established position in the capital to support a supposed Targaryen prince who is beyond their reach. My interpretation of the saying "The dragon has three heads" is that this actually represents three literal dragons. In the case of Aegon I being the three dragons of conquest and in the case of Daenerys, her children. The adventure of Young Griff and the golden company probably ends in King's Landing. I believe that Cersei Lannister or Jon Connington will end up destroying the city. Daenerys has so much to do in Essos in Vaes Dothraki, in Slaver's Bay and in Volantis, that I believe there is no time for a conflict of this magnitude to occur.

Cap fake dragon takes viserion, jon snow takes rheagal, fake dragon goes to north and gets offed by snow monsters and his dragons gets taken by unded like in the show then boom battle of the dragons

There really doesn't need to be a "middle conflict" 🤣 there's already so much going and only two books left. A THIRD war in addition to the invasion and war for the dawn is just extra stuff we don't need and GRRM doesn't have enough time to resolve

Aegon is the middle conflict. He already exists. The middle conflict is currently happening. Without him, characters start doing weird stuff, as I mentioned. The Aegon arc doesn’t need to take a long time (it shouldn’t, really). It’ll be over by the end of TWOW and can run alongside all the other plot lines. It’s really not a diversion at all, it’s just what’s happening.

@@CrusaderChris Having a second DotD, which is what I thought was being discussed, would be a HUGE time investment and completely a distraction. The Aegon plotline could, and should, be resolved by other means. There just isn't enough time (or pages) to have such a huge event running concurrently with other plots. There's already too much going on, which is why GRRM has failed to deliver a book in almost 13 years.

i think game of thrones is gonna recreate all the famous moments from targaryen history which is why we know so much about them 1. dany is gonna repeat aegons conquest 2. i think her and jon are gonna go to war recreating the dance i also think he needs to kill her to create lightbringer and 3. the blackfyre rebellions with faegon i dont see how the dance can happen with aegon because dany would need to give him a dragon vs with jon he can warg into a dragon whenever he wants and just take one of her dragons

@@7eddiii her dragons need riders in order to fallow orders properly, there is no reason for Dany and Jon to fight it didn't make sense in the show and it makes even less sense in the books, him doing morally questionable things isn't going to make her fight him when everyone in asoiaf does questionable things, Jon is not azora hai he hasn't for filled any the requirements and aemon established you don't need to be male , Danys story does have to do with the white walkers she literally had a dragon dream about them in the first book , only powerful wargs can warg into any animal Jon isn't that powerful of a warg and can only do so with ghost because of his bond to him .

I really hope Griff is who he says it is because I feel it would be a cop out if they just said "oh he's just a Blackfyre pretender Dany is the true heir". If he is Aegon however the conflict becomes a lot more grey. Who is the true heir to the Iron Throne? The thing about the Dance of the Dragons is that both Aegon II and Rhaenyra had legitimate claims to the throne. If GRRM does another Dance then the conflict needs that same nuance.

You misunderstood the interaction between Tyrion and Aegon. Tyrion was trying to stop Aegon from going to Dany as a way to sabotage Aegons plan. In the book it says: Could the pretty princeling have swallowed the bait? Turned them west instead of east, abandoning his hopes of wedding Daenerys? Abandoning the dragons... would Griff allow that? - Tyrion.

It’s not known whether or not Tyrion wants Aegon to fail. In fact, we’re not explicitly told why Tyrion gives this advice to Aegon at all. Most likely, Tyrion was just being selfish - he wanted to meet Dany alone, and talk his way into her service. If he shows up with Aegon and JonCon, then Tyrion’s just an afterthought. Or, since Tyrion is in his villain era, he could want Aegon to take an army against the lords of Westeros who all hate him. That way he can get petty revenge through Aegon, and force the realm into another war so soon after the Wot5K. Regardless of any of that, I don’t see how my use of Tyrion’s quote to Aegon is wrong here. Tyrion may be manipulating him, but he’s also making some pretty obvious points.

@@CrusaderChris For whatever reason Tyrion is purposefully going out of his way to not give Aegon good advice considering the fact that what Tyrion is telling him to do is different to how Tyrion defeats Aegon at Cyvasse which is the way Aegon should be trying to take the iron throne which is by going to Dany since she represents the dragon in cyvasse. Aegon didn't keep his dragon close and lost the game. Tyrion is purposefully giving Aegon bad advice about not going to Dany and with the cyvasse game Tyrion is giving him the good advice. People online say that Tyrion did it to see how easily Aegon could be manipulated and to see if he would take the bait.
