    In so many of these shows and documentaries about cheer they zoom in and get so many different angles of the routines and it gets to a point where it’s less impressive because you can’t see and appreciate the whole picture

    Cheers to Ole Miss for featuring their Spirit Squads on their fantastic series "The Season". Take a sneak peek into the great cheer and dance programs at Ole Miss! Thanks to Carley, Arikka and Trey for giving so much to make this program great! A big kudos to Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork for recognizing the value and importance of Spirit Squads!!!! Way to GEAUX! My daughter was fortunate enough to be a member of the Rebelettes for four years! The memories and friends made during that journey are priceless treasures! Hotty Toddy! Fins Up!

    This was interesting to watch; i’m a fan of the University of Louisville & the Ladybirds, but I think all of these student-athletes work really hard; good job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    @Tanya They have a Rebelettes dance team, a girls cheer team and a Co-Ed cheer team. They train very hard and the cheer team has only the Nationals to train for, it can be very intense and very competitive even among the team members. Go to Lifetime Channel there is an excellent 10 part series featuring the Ole Miss Co-Ed team which was recently filmed, it is very good.

    It's kinda weird an entire team of white girls doing hip hop lol it's so stiff ( I'm white so don't come at me )

    Kind weird, but it's easier to get everyone in sync if they're stiff and have sharp, to-the-point motions.

    Christa Fernandez you mean clean and crisp. There is a different between being stiff with your motions (which is boring) and then having popping, clean, crisp, motions. I have cheered my whole life and now coach. You definitely don't want to be stiff. You want energy to your motions. I do understand where you are coming from though and appreciate the response. No, hard feelings.

    is it just me or does it seem like they favor the dance team over cheer by 100000% not fair.. cheer team works harder than dance ever will.

    Ry M I agree ....Cheer is more physically demanding ...I danced for 12 years and cheered for 5 .

  • @karcompany5425

    @karcompany5425

    I've done soccer, softball, volleyball, track, cross country, cheer, and clogging Cheer was the most physically demanding because you put in so much energy and you lift and run around and tumble! I feel dancers have it harder, but only because it seems they get stuck with awful coaches who don't care if the child is injured. "Oh, your foot bled six times today from point? Go again." Uhh... yeah, no thanks.

    i didnt like ole miss, the dance seemed angry and aggressive and they all had the meanest looks on there faces. not very appealing to watch

  • @empresscami

    Nancy Anderson that's just kind of the look they were feeling...they were pissed they lost jazz so they put it all on the floor...and hip hop generally isn't a smiley type of genre. Usually when we had to dance hip hop it was very aggressive and angry.

  • @empresscami

    @empresscami

    6 жыл бұрын

    But if they have decided on hip hop and jazz then they can't really change the entire routine the hour before unless you are with Abby Lee Dance Company...lol and I know you didn't mean anything bad by that but hip hop is generally more aggressive but it shows with their jazz that they can be soft and flowy and with the hip hop they can be sharp and tight and hard hitting...it shows the diversity of the dancers.
