@Rashinnu One of the Coup videos, can't quite remember which one though.
Character abilities Good Cleric - secretly investigates first leader Duke - May drop one hand during goods last chance Youth - must fail when affected by the magic token Evil Morgan Le Fay - not affected by magic token and still lie Blind hunter - Does not know other evil players. may activate the hunt before the final quest (guessing 2 good characters) Minion - no special power

thank you!! this was super helpful
They never really explained how the magic token works in the rules section, but I *think* the way it works is that: It doesn't effect duke, cleric, or Morgan Le Fay. It makes the youth fail. It makes the minion and the blind hunter succeed. I don't know this for sure, but it seems weird that was left out of the explanation, it's very important to how the game works.
@KaleidosXXI

They repeatedly said how it works during the video, it forces the player who has it to vote for a success. The Youth and Morgan are the exceptions, with the Youth voting to fail and Morgan ignoring the token entirely, as seen on the role overview at the start of the video and also repeatedly mentioned in the video.

@@KaleidosXXI I never said they didn't repeat it a lot in the video. They did, but they didn't explain it at all in the opening rules. The whole point of opening with those is so that I don't have to learn it as the game goes on, I simply know beforehand. And yes, it was in the role overview, but just as a "not effected by it" text. I just think they should have said what it does outright, instead of having the 6 people at the table explain it throughout the video. I also think the wording of it as "forcing the player who has it to vote success" is misleading when a third of the characters ignore that, and good characters are already forced to do that. It should say "affects certain characters based on their role" or something like that Edit: Actually I did misword my original comment. I meant to say they never explained it in the beginning, not that they never explained it at all. My point was always just that it makes it a little bit more confusing to get into when there's one element of the game I have to learn as it goes. I'll fix that.

@@Ishtarru yeah was weird, normally they go over all the rules, I guess this was treated as a expansion so only the new stuff, but even then the magic token was a difference from previous versions of this game so by that logic it should still be brought up.

Imma be real, I’ve fallen off watching AH (no detriment of anyone involved, I’m sure it’s still good content) but every few months, I’ll check and see if they still have the Always Sunny bit in there description. Glad to see it’s still a staple of every video
I would love seeing the Let's Roll crew do Aye Dark Overlord

same, though this game is not that good of one content wise, there is so little back and forth and its more about being quite and not saying anything vs any active lies. The actions they can take are very limited and all the deceit is just in who you take with you, and which card you chose if you even get a choice. To play well is to give no info, spark no conflict and draw no attention, which is very bad for content.

@@Hevensdragon Yeah, I prefer Coup
I love these types of games with jack Michael Trevor fredo. All the cast today was amazing and i enjoy watching all of them together! More werewolf soon???
An interesting idea could be to randomly pick the specific roles. Take a larger set of roles, then grab 3 random bad roles and 3 random good ones, then mix those and distribute. That way you don't know for sure if there's a Youth or not, for example. It would really mess with the Hunt phase though, so maybe have the blind hunter identify one specific good role and one other good player (not role specific). Make it a bit more lenient.
>.> this game literally looks like the resistance but with a couple of bonus things
Jack at 1:56 almost made me spit out my fruit punch😂😂
Dang, hyped for that finale
11:40 - Jack says it takes two "Fail" cards to give that quest to Evil, but Larry explained the rules at the beginning as a single "Fail" means the quest goes to Evil. Is there another part of the rules that wasn't mentioned?

@@andrester88 It's nearly identical to Avalon. Avalon uses the same 5 quest system, teams going out to do quests, first to 3 quest wins, etc., except Good has Merlin who knows all Evil players instead of Cleric. And one of the Evil roles gets a chance at the end to guess who Merlin is to steal the win from Good

Really liked watching BK and Joe so much that I was really hoping that they would be part of the vid.
Wait so does the magic token force someone (other than youth and Morgan) to succeed?
@Nova-ru5mm

Yep, looks like it. It forces the Youth to fail, and it doesn't affect Morgan.

Maybe I'm dumb, but what's stopping the two bad guys saying who they are and having the blind killer just kill two of the others? Or even just passing the crown to eachother?
@Nova-ru5mm
Жыл бұрын
The Blind Hunter has to properly guess who the Cleric and the Youth are. They can't just say, those 2 are good. So they need to have a bit more information for that to succeed. If they fail, the good just win and if the Blind Hunter doesn't even try, the good now know who is bad for sure. Once you become king (the crown) you can't get it again. Evil can pass it to their team mates, though they only know one as the Blind Hunter is hidden, but then that can give away that they're together if the pieces align correctly.
@CmdrBrannick
Жыл бұрын
@@Nova-ru5mm Ah, I'll be honest, didn't get that they had to specifically guess those two. Well is there any way at all to even guess the cleric without the cleric straight up saying who they are?
A few mistakes they made: - The leader does not HAVE to go on the quest. The rules say they "may". - During game 1, Michael (as the blind hunter) should have revealed to trigger a Hunt phase to try and steal the win. The rules state that 3 successful quests = instant win UNLESS there's a blind hunter who gets a hunt.

Also in game two, Lindsay should have given the magic fireball thing to Trevor since as the cleric Lindsay knew Jack was good.
@KuroroSama42

@@osiristheimmortalful Well that's not playing the game wrong... it's just playing it foolishly. That being said, if Lindsay thought Trevor might be the Youth, then giving it to Jack was the right move to avoid forcing a failure.
This game is basically "The Elder Scrolls: Skeld." 3:20 Failed quest incoming? 9:40 TES Skeld confirmed. 11:30 Trevor: *Points at Matt* "That's a failure right there." Matt: "You're sounding a lot like my mom." Self-deprecation is the first step towards enlightenment. Unfortunately, nobody knows what the second step is. We're all busy self-deprecating, like the idiots we are.
"Cleric do NOT reveal yourself" Trevor the cleric: "Ok"
Having watched only part of the intro to the rules.. this game is basically Secret Hitler, with D&D vibes to it? Different leader each turn, with factions that try to complete their own agenda..

Holy shit. The ad on this video was a dating service to connect to Slavic women……. Something is seriously f’d up in the algorithm.
a
interesting game but seems extremely unbalanced
I was bad. But I’m not good :(. Hail Satan 666?
Hm this game seems like a bad match for vids, you want a game to be somthing that the cast can play off of and bring out more entertainment, but this one is focused heavily on being secretive and not giving away anything on ether team. This just limits the cast as they cant act up their characters or roles or even factions. The game also has very limited players choices being only who is sent and only the evil team even gets to choose to pass or fail. In a lot of ways the game plays itself while the players just silently take in what it shows, not a great game for content. The cast did a good job, but I hope they don't revisit this game.
The game seems poorly balanced.
Generic, generic, generic, Morgan LeFay, generic...
