Hey Nate just asking I know as a man I want to do things on my own but i find basic things difficult due having Aspergers Syndrome. It basically effects my social skills and how I heat and see the world around me. My mum helps me with Banking, electric bills (Which I do pay) and basic things that I can't understand mostly. I am trying to make my life better I do need a helping hand from my mum and family, is that a bad thing I just want your honest opinion.

As someone with Tourette’s I absolutely hate people that do that I struggle all my life with this condition and someone just fakes it for clout

I have Tourettes as well. It may not affect me to badly, but it is still something you have to live with that can make life difficult sometimes. Seeing some colored haired Karen use this disorder to gain sympathy clicks really piss' me off.

Same. Thanks to coprolalia being so prominent in the media when Tourette's is concerned, I still have to explain why mine don't make me involuntarily cuss. Still, I can accept that as part of having the condition, being the best one to counteract misinformation. This bitch is just deliberately making us all look bad.

That's the thing I absolutely hate is someone that fakes something they don't have. Also, on the other hand I don't wanna be a burden on my family either, but I really feel like I am when I don't want to be.

That's usually how it ends up being not going to lie, trying not to be something usually results in you becoming the thing you don't want to be. Like for example whenever people say they aren't dickheads, they end up doing stuff that makes them look like dickheads.

I've was diagnosed with tourettes back when I was 13. I'm 23 now and let me tell you, it's not fun. I got lucky to mainly just have motor tics but that doesn't make some simple tasks any easier. If anything, it can make life harder because you're having to constantly fight with yourself to not tic during times when it wouldn't help you but you don't get to pick and choose when it happens like ticsandroses does where they only did it on TikTok but not anywhere else. It may change in severity over time and there are ways to help manage it but it's not like a cold where it goes away after a while. It's life long and presents in many ways. She's truly a scumbag for profiting off of a serious mental condition that those who actually have it have no control over. Having tourettes alone isn't something to be proud of. Being able to find ways to cope and manage your tourettes IS something to be proud of. It's blatantly obvious this was just a performance on their part and that's all it is. They acted and they got paid for it. True scumbag indeed

I can't guarantee it'll happen for you as it did for me, but it may get better over time. I used to have multiple episodes a day for long periods each. Diagnosed when I was 8. I was around 20 when I really noticed improvement. Today, I can go months without an occurrence. Hope you'll be able to say the same some day. Best of luck, friend.

Their actions will definitely cause more people to question the validity of people who genuinely suffer from serious medical conditions and may dissuade them from donating money to help out their fellow humans. Faking any health issues for money is beyond disrespectful to anyone with said condition(s) and anyone who does that deserve a swift kick in the ass in the form of karma.

@@ijnyuudachi4917 Considering the wide range of tics that exist as well as severity and frequency, it can be hard to tell, at least at first. Though as we all know, there's usually some sort of pattern. There are triggers (mine are excitement and tiredness) as well as hinderers (mine's being highly focused), and over time, you can tell if there are discrepancies.

The people that fake tourrettes always make me cringe when I see them. It's like a radar I have when I see people faking vs when they actually have it.

The more I see videos like this, the more I think that the Max Landis DC movie pitch, featuring an asshole copycat Joker "doing it for the clout," isn't actually that ridiculous after all..

This story was unsettling from the start 😳

I don’t have Tourettes, but I have a family member whom I’m very close with who does. If they saw this, their heart would sink.

This reminds me of the episode of South Park where Cartman also fakes Tourette's.

Aren’t Tourette’s ticks supposed to happen at completely random intervals? I’m just wondering because when I look at her “tick” it almost looks like she’s doing a pattern between speaking and ticking.

Tics are random though various situations can make them better or worse (mine get worse when excited or when tired and get better when focused on something). You can feel them coming on, and fight them to a degree, but doing so makes it worse. The best analog is to a sneeze or a yawn. Your body is doing something it feels it must do, and you might be able to put it off, but eventually it will do that thing. Severity ranges as well. Some people cannot live normal lives thanks to the severity and frequency of their tics, but then there are people, like me, who may go months without an episode. The most famous type of tic, coprolalia (involuntary swearing), is also the most rare.

I think about the people with actual condition like this. People are going to become skeptical of people with Tourettes. I think back to the early days of Sweet Anita streaming. I feel bad

I hate Tik Tok and this just adds fuel to my inferno of hate towards Tik Tok

I watch stuff my friends send me and compilations curated by KZreadrs I enjoy. I don't have the app itself on my phone and have no intention of going down the rabbit hole. But when I see awful trends and scammers it does trigger the "old man yells at clouds" part of me.

I have tourettes and I just want to say my tics have never been that pronounced or noticeable. Also the fact that she managed to catch her "tics" multiple times on camera is for me a sure sine she was faking it because tics are not constantly going off and are by definition not controllable

I will say that severity and frequency will vary wildly from person to person, as will the type of tic(s) involved. Mine are fairly pronounced when I have an episode due to the fact that it involves arm movements. It's clear that she's making herself do these things when you watch her for a bit, but you and I should consider ourselves fairly lucky. Some people have it rough thanks to the almost constant nature of their disorder. I used to have episodes multiple times a day. Now I can go months without one. Rather relieving I have to say.

I have family members from every end of the spectrum. From tourettes to being blind to diabetes to ADHD to Autism. I have learned how to be empathetic and understanding but THIS?? THIS p*sses me off! WHAT KIND OF POS DOES THIS?! I don't think I have ever been this angry in my entire life.

I can relate. I put others problems above my own which I've learned through therapy and studying psychology it's not good for mental health but I can't help it. I care more for people around me even if I hate the person I'm helping because I feel like an ass for not helping when someone seems like they need it.

If I have an offensive AI, I'm gonna release it on these people and two I'm going to make is an AI Earwig for Encryption and an AI Squid for well...Stealth stuff because I'm setting my sights on the AI Squid in mobile game Hackers which I've grown attached to.

Some people do have yelling Tics,I think I do tho I'm not sure if it would be classified as one.
