We know the Piaggo Vespa these days to be a fashion icon, a statement. But it used to be much more than that. In WW2, this little scooter managed to become the saviour of Italy, and then transcended its status. Over time, this little vehicle helped people finish Dakars, do incredible expeditions and break speed records. It became a symbol of freedom, hope and independence. A symbol on two wheels, for people who hate two wheels.
