The Scene Vault Podcast -- Tim Brewer on Charlotte Suspension, 1992 Title Run and Split with Junior
Спорт
NOTE: This is a remastered version of a previously released episode, featuring improved sound.
In the epic third and final installment of our interview with longtime NASCAR crew chief Tim Brewer, Tim talks about his and Junior Johnson’s 1991 suspension after a big engine was found in their car at Charlotte. He also remembers Bill Elliott coming on board with the team in 1992 … the early success … the crushing disappointment of losing out on that year’s championship ... and an acrimonious split with Junior Johnson.
And if you thought Tim didn’t hold anything back in the first two installments of our interview … THIS episode is truly something to behold.

Junior Johnson stories are amazing and Tim did so much in Nascar.

One smart man. Not much got by Tim. NASCAR needed and still needs men like Tim. Sure hope he gets in the Hall of Fame and is around to see that happen. GREAT stories of the REAL NASCAR.
Very nice to see ya, Mr. Brewer. this podcast made me smile many times. Your are still a character, and I am glad I had the opportunity to work for you in 1997. I was your scorer at qvc7 , jammers exwife. Your wife and you treated me so well. and you are still funny, as hell.
When Tim is talking about the over sized motor, You can tell he’s still pissed about.

He should not be his idea to run big motor but u really think he gonna admit it
Love how straightforward he is
Awesome guy Mr Tim Brewer!!! I hope he gets in the hall of Fame pretty quick. He had an amazing career and he was a major asset for NASCAR.
I can literally listen to this man talk all day everyday lol why don’t he have a SiriusXM show?? Please tell me why????
I sure hope Tim get to the Hall of Fame before he passes away he was one of the greatest for Crew Chiefs out there and he needs to be in the Hall of Fame

He’s definitely deserving of a Hall of Fame membership.
Hearing Brewer describe his last days working for Junior Johnson, sure seems to lend credibility to Bobby Allison's version of 1972 & his own mis-communications with Junior. Great interview !
Tim Brewer sounds like a man that I could work With, Or work For, either one ... Crafty, Intelligent, AND Fun.
Tim Brewer should have his own tv show. I could listen to his yarn all day long. lol
I try to watch all of these interviews once. But Tim Brewer is the only 1 Ill watch a 2nd time. He's about the best story teller in Nascar. Maybe Brewer should write a book.
Great Interview -- After all of these years, I'm glad he's not bitter about it...
This is the dirty, cheat'n, tricked out golden era of NASCAR that I miss. 🏁
I love Tim Brewer
The man can tell a story!
They have never gave a car owner that servere of penalty....on a engine...being illegal.....i mean making them Jr put the car in another name....change numbers etc....and not to mention it was not a points paying race...i enjoy hearing Tim....one of best ever..
I hope all the people at home understand when he says "I"..that means the fab guys...or the chassis guys. He didn't do it. Now he told them guys what to do...but there were guys in the trenches doing the work. But he is a legend
Gotta love Brewer!!! Classic NASCAR !
Tim life is Nascar, he is a man that called it like it was.
Had junior not destroyed that 92 bud team an keep tim an bill together it would been a dynasty for shure

LOL, Bill was hardly winning races. You 40 IQ fans are ridiculous.
Rick, you have to have him back a third time and ask him about why he went back to work with Bodine in 1997 and also about that year when him and Pat Tryson got into it at the spring Bristol race and Pat left in the middle of the race from the pit box

I think we could have Tim on the show a HUNDRED times and we still wouldn't get to all his stories!
Love the podcast, hate hearing phones vibrate while legitimate Nascar living legends are talking. Please put it on do not disturb.
!This is some good stuff!
You think Brewer is a little full of 'Brewer'.?.

@@jodywells7519you are reading too much into it. Tim isn’t giving you the history, he’s giving you his personal experiences and how he saw things. And yeah when ur successful you can be arrogant
People need to listen till the end before they comment on how arrogant they think Tim Brewer is…A) he is a character and tremendously entertaining storyteller and B) damn right he is arrogant, he won 2 Cup Champions
I’ll never forget
I finally got the first like and comment keep Tim Brewer interviews coming Thank You
how drunk was he during this recording 😂😂
Funny he didn't talk none of this bull when jr was a live if u can't tell he is a liar i feel sorry for u jr would bust his head
If Bill could’ve kept Brewer as his crew chief he would’ve had another championship. Maybe even two if Junior would’ve let Tim do his job.
I get the feeling he really didn’t like Geoff Bodine 🤣🤣🤣
How Did Tim Went To Work Number 22 Crew Chief For Final Chapter In 1993 Thanks For Uploading Rick And Steve

Juniors wife got half what junior had in their divorce so she got thr 22 team an sold it to bill davis i guesss sinse junior fired tim he went with flossie
who was jb raines? also how come nobody ever talks about the fact terry labonte stayed out and led a lap in 92 at atlanta? i think then they would have tied on laps led so what happens then? i assume both get the 10 so you still have kulwicki as champion. unless they only give them both 5 oh no wait still alan champ.

5 wins would have broke tie bill champion stupid mistake by brewer JV Reins was engine builder for junior at his shop Tim also screened up on Phoenix not changing engine before rsacr start And daytona 500to11 13:05 dominant car Lap 102 Ernie irvan wiped out 11/22 running first and second That codyca lot of points
"Junior Johnson doesn't have the balls to fire Tim Brewer." Uhhhhh huhhhh
Just a little.
Juniors personal life became very complicated in 1992 with his split from flosssie and marriage to lisa Brewer had worked with flossie to take the teams off junior in the settlement and junior would not ldtvtgst happen lesfibgvtivtge sale of the team Junior had lowes as his sponsor in his final season which would have been interesting - but junior saw the nascar play book and wanted no psrtbog it Plus Brewer did not pit with kulwicki on the final stop of Atlanta vodyibg them vhsnoionship That's fact of demise It's a shame Brewer is a legend but will never get the recognition and burned to many😊 bridges
I like Brewer but he is downright disrespectful towards Junior Johnson. Junior made Brewer, not the other way around.
I knew TIB was weak! He rolled on people
I respect what timber we did for the sport but I think he's very arrogant
