Hey boss, I saw you on the interview trail (Anesthesia, I’m the bald guy lol) and I feel you on the uncertainty of the future despite our best efforts over the last 8+ years. Anesthesia has been harder and harder to match into lately, which has all our sphincters fully activated. Hang in there, match day is around the corner and what’s meant to be will come! Hang in there man, we got this!

This is just what I am feeling right now… you’re not alone shaun. But I know that in time, we will all get to the point that we’ve all been dreaming and praying for. Keep pushing and don’t give up 🙏🏻💪🏻

No matter how difficult the path is just remember that you survived 4 years of medical school, during Covid too! No one can take that away from you. Even if you don't get your choices, which is highly unlikely, you still made it through. And no matter how long the path takes you're still going to get there in the end. The thing to focus on is that you're better off now than you were 4 years ago.

Are you guys going to start incorporating AI into your workflow, please do! My dad was diagnosed with cancer and passed 2 years ago. They radiologists missed initial tumors because it was a difficult cancer diagnose (Cholangiocarcinoma). I feel like the more AI we can incorporate the less human error we will get and better patient outcomes.

You can start whenever you want. Med schools look for longevity and so if you do one or two experiences for multiple years, that’ll look good on an application. You can be a scribe, a phlebotomist, a tech (most people do this one), an EMT driver, etc.

I echo what everyone above me has said! I would recommend starting after your first year of college once you’ve gotten used to your class schedule. Scribing, working at a front desk, shadowing, etc. are all good to do!
