I think the Hidden Inventory Arc works so well precisely because we had all that introduction to the world and it's mechanics in Season 1. If Hidden Inventory were the show's first season, and Gojo were the main character, you would need to put in a lot of exposition to have the audience understand what's going on, so Hidden Inventory would be way longer and probably more boring. I thought Yuji as the MC was alright in S1, but nothing to write home about, because, like you said in the video, he seems like a very good and friendly guy already that doesn't need a lot of character growth and is just kind of there to experience the plot along with us as the viewers. But that changes drastically in the Shibuya Incident Arc, where Yuji's worldview and motivation get painfully put into question. He gets faced with the brutal reality that he not only can't save everyone, but that him having chosen to stay alive and not let Jujutsu Society execute him, indirectly led to Sukuna abusing his body to kill hundreds if not thousands of innocent people. But what really cemented Yuji as a good protagonist for me was the "I am you" scene. Yuji gets humbled and comes to the realisation that he isn't morally superior to Mahito and the other curses, and it's not good vs evil, but a war between humans and curses, and he is no better than Mahito, they both kill the other because it's in their nature. I also liked the callbacks to Yujis new perspective on the world later in the manga, as well as the callbacks to the trauma he suffered from Shibuya.

No, he had his development during Hidden Inventory and JJK 0, there was not much left besides his students and Sukuna fight making him human. With Yuuuji although slow, has plenty of development, just wish Gege did his parenta reveal sooner or give us a bit more backstory from him sooner. Yuuta is my first followed by Yuuji and Higuruma 2nd, Gojo would my 3rd favorite with Sukuna and Toji coming in at 4th Choso and Yuuki 5th. Yuuji is precious, I like him as the MC, a regular kid with regular abilities even his own achievements is OP Right Left Goodnight. Oh and yes we know he aint normal but his abilities were gained outside sources on his own, his own physical prowress is what continues to W

Thats why more so itd need to be an entirely reworked story. Hence bringing up frieren. I love what we have. Just more so a thought me and my co-writer had on whod be more interesting as a lead.

I ABSOLUTELY Am. Chapter 260 was insane. However I very much word and do multiple read throighs of these scripts to be anime friendly. I very much know there is stuff in this video and my last that get contridicted by the manga. Yet I can't change the way it is shown or the context. Based upon those views.

I think Gojo's charisma and interesting powers, being "more main character worthy" may have been an intentional choice. Having Yuji being tied to the end of the story (Sukuna) and not knowing what is going on (so we can learn about the world) are both very good traits, but cause him to have this slow start. However, by having Gojo there we gain all of the other bits that are missing. So now that Yuji is in full swing for the next session, Gojo is gone because he no longer needs to fill that gap. Also while having Gojo as a main character would be fun, I deeply know that the show would be hated for its Mary Sue character and may actually be a little boring in the long run.

You're comments are always amazing in providing food for thought. This video from conception when Leon pitched it to me. Is to try capture audiences that were 1) Hate Yuji and actually believe this. 2) To imagine the story of JJK if the delivery device had been different. The reality is the story and mechanics would need to be entirely reworked to the point where its just not the same show. While this is anime has a huge ensemble. And sometimes some characters overshadow Yuji he is absolutely the MC. And believe even being anime only its clear to see he has so much room to grow. And yeah I think if we are going to be real. I think the response would be that. Even though to me, his overall arc of battling being the strongest would reflect that of a Captain America, Optimus Prime or a Frieren. Were its not really about powering up or getting that next level of strength, rather mental and personal gains towards being a more full person. Thanks for being here. Love these deep dives. This video was really trying to capitlise on Gojo's search trends being number 1 on trending and an angle that was worth 10mins. Its a shame that for some reason these videos just arent getting pushed. It's a fight we will continue to endure and learn from.
