Our social activists with totally negative thinking can never have a vision of big things. They can think only one thing at a time that too for a specific community or region. They refuse to think all sectors and all regions as a part of one nation. If somebody can think like that and apply the spirit of of Balance of trade theory of Economics - this world, our beloved India, Coimbatore, Trichy or Madurai or Tirunelveli and Tirupur can produce goods cheap in which they have cost advantage and avoid wastages in utilisation of skill and other resources. From your narration, I tend to advocate centralise production of all coal based industries including production of electricity around coal belt, and distribute to the rest of the nation.. The entire Thar desert in Rajasthan can be utilised for solar power. Personally I feel integrating all places with surface transportation alongwith improving the major ports to the needed levels should suffice instead of developing 200 new small ports. Afterall even small ships cannot ply on land and the expenditure on developing such small ports may be used to develop additional capacity for smaller internal intra- India trade. Just because we have a very large coastline we need not waste our money in developing ports everywhere, which may affect historically evolved local industries, agriculture etc. We should first think of how to substitute large imports from China, if at all India to survive and grow. . Slowly India is becoming an economic colony of China. The country should have balance of trade at net +/- 5% with China, US and Europe on a year to year basis.. We should put in place policy initiatives to curb dumping of goods and also proactively work to substitute large imports with local alternatives.

Ambani has made internet usage 10 times (1000%) cheaper. Our leftist want China to grow at the cost of India. All countries look at India as a big market for them. Our countries policies should be to develop India with our own production. We should import raw materials and technology and make finished product and sell it internally and internationally. This is the policy followed by China, ofcourse using all unethical methods. They don't follow IPR regime, or ILO policies. Workers including in China are treated like slaves. Wages per hour of work is very low. Thus they produce goods with stolen technology and cheap labour and dump their goods in India.. We have to address it deal with it at the earliest.
