Your personal obedience has absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. That's a service issue. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God.

This is an excellent teaching video. I felt the stirring inside of my spirit, about how serious God takes our disobedience. Look what Israel still has to face for 7 more years owed to God, for their worshipping of other gods. Does teach we Christians, to stay on the straight and narrow road.👉✝️

I remember i read this and was confused…. I am just curious about the old prophets intention to… persuade him otherwise? Did old prophet just trick him with bad intent or did he really have a command? The bible just says he persuaded him. Is the old prophet in the wrong here also for, in a way, killing his own kin..? Because later the old prophet goes back and gets his body and i think he asks to be buried with him

If G-d directly tells a prophet "I want you to fast today", it would be a good idea to skip lunch with a guy who says something opposite. I've never heard directly from G-d, so I'm sad for the prophet who became a lion's lunch

I’m pretty sure if you rewatch the old prophet says God has given him these instructions. One Prophet can be used to send a message to another. My point is do not judge and pray the same mistake does not befall you. Many of you are too quick to think you would are so clever you would not do something like this or that. We are all human and fallible.

In order to have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation 💗 this means that saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief ❤.

Therefore same as the prophet killed by the Lion; when we remain in disobedience , in rebellion and a state of mind where we allow any voices to replace God In out Lives; it can truly affect the plans of our life; we can bear fruits, good for the Lord and pleading for others to also benefit or we can bear consequences because if we know it all.. surely we claim to also know our future and can become our own Godhead?! Today idolatry is not physical it is when people are refusing to invite God into their lives in every areas of their lives; their projects and relationships, their businesses; their finances..everything our lives must be submitted and in line with the WORD of the The Lord and the teaching . IF HE LISTENED TO THE OLD PROPHET, I WONDER WAS HE NOT 100 PECENT SURE GOD TOLD HIM TO FAST. I WONDER IF HE FELT HE MUST BE OBEDIENT TO AN OLDER GUY.

Why did God, NOT allow, but cause the death of one of his prophets by means of a lion ? Simply because the prophet disobeyed God's EXACT command, in which "by the word of Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV), a man of God came from Judah to Bethʹel while Jer·o·boʹam was standing by the altar to make sacrificial smoke." "Then he called out against the altar by the word of Jehovah and said: “O altar, altar ! This is what Jehovah says: ‘Look ! A son named Jo·siʹah will be born to the house of David (in the year 667 B.C.E. as king of the two tribe kingdom of Judah, and reigned 659-628 B.C.E.)" "He will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places, those making sacrificial smoke on you, and he will burn human bones on you. (see 2 Kings 23:15, 16)’” He gave a sign on that day, saying: “This is the sign that Jehovah has declared: Look ! The altar will be ripped apart, and the ashes that are on it will be spilled out.”(1 Kings 13:1-3) At that moment, King Jeroboam (reigned 997-976 B.C.E.) told his servants to seize "the man of the true God", but an angel instantly caused Jeroboam's hand that he had stretched out to become paralyzed, and at the same time, "the altar was ripped apart and the ashes were spilled out.(1 Kings 13:4, 5) King Jeroboam now begs for favor from "the man of the true God", so that "the man of the true God" begs Jehovah's favor, and Jeroboam's hand was restored back to normal. With Jeroboam having humbled himself, he asks "the man of the true God" to "come home with me and take some food, and let me give you a gift.” "But the man of the true God said to the king: “Even if you gave me half your house, I would not come with you and eat bread or drink water in this place. For this is what I was commanded by the word of Jehovah: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water, and you must not return by the way you came.’” So he left by another way, and he did not return by the way he had come to Bethʹel."(1 Kings 13:6-10) When "a certain old prophet" was told by his sons of what happened in Bethel, he asked them which way he left, so that his sons pointed out which direction "the man of the true God" had went, and whereby he saddled his donkey and found him "under a big tree". The "certain old prophet" then asked if he was "the man of the true God", to which replied "Yes", so that the "certain old prophet" invited him to "come home with me and eat bread", but which "the man of the true God" told him: "I cannot go back with you or accept your invitation, nor may I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. For I was told by the word of Jehovah, ‘You must not eat bread or drink water there. You must not return by the way you came." But the "certain old prophet" now deceives "the man of the true God", telling him: "I too am a prophet like you, and an angel told me by the word of Jehovah, ‘Have him come back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (He deceived him.) So he went back with him to eat bread and drink water in his house."(1 Kings 13:11-19) Then, while sitting at the table, the "certain old prophet" told "the man of the true God", that "this is what Jehovah says: ‘Because you rebelled against the order of Jehovah and did not keep the commandment that Jehovah your God gave you, but you went back to eat bread and drink water in the place about which you were told, “Do not eat bread or drink water,” your dead body will not come into the tomb of your forefathers.’” The account now says that "after the man of the true God ate bread and drank, the old prophet saddled the donkey for the prophet whom he had brought back. Then he got on his way, but a lion came across him on the road and killed him." "His dead body was thrown onto the road, and the donkey stood beside it; the lion was also standing beside the dead body. There were men passing by who saw the dead body thrown onto the road and the lion standing beside the dead body. They came in and told about it in the city where the old prophet lived.'(1 Kings 13:20-25) This is the same as with King Saul, who disobeyed Jehovah's command to annihilate the Amalekites and all that belonged to them, in which "then the word of Jehovah came to Samuel: “I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned away from following me and he has not carried out my words". Upon King Saul seeing Samuel, he tried to make excuses for the people taking flocks of sheep and herds of cattle by saying that they were for ' sacrificing to Jehovah your God; but what was left we devoted to destruction '.(1 Sam 15:1-9) Samuel now tells Saul: "Stop ! Let me tell you what Jehovah said to me last night.” So he said to him: “Speak !” Samuel continued: “Were you not insignificant in your own eyes when you were made head of the tribes of Israel and when Jehovah anointed you as king over Israel ?" "Jehovah later sent you on a mission and said, ‘Go, and devote the sinful A·malʹek·ites to destruction. Fight against them until you have exterminated them.’ So why did you not obey the voice of Jehovah ? Instead, you rushed greedily toward the spoil and did what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah !”(1 Sam 15:10-19) Samuel further tells Saul: "Does Jehovah take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah ? Look ! To OBEY is better than a sacrifice, and to PAY ATTENTION than the fat of rams; for rebelliousness is the same as the sin of divination (opening the way to the occult, control by the demons)," "and pushing ahead presumptuously the same as using magical power and idolatry (linking up with the demons, inviting them to influence a person to do wickedness, even becoming demon-possessed). Because you have rejected the word of Jehovah, he has rejected you from being king."(1 Sam 15:22, 23) So "the man of the true God" was put to death for his disobedience, for his failure to carry out Jehovah's word EXACTLY as he was commanded, just as Adam and Eve disobeyed by eating from "the tree of knowledge of good and bad", eventually dying and returning to "dust" or non-existence.(Gen 3:1-6, 17-19)

The bible says the word of the lord came to the old prophet after the meal. Why did God speak to an old prophet?

Actually old testament is over and passed away so you picking a character to pick on somebody is over in the nane of Jesus I pray. God is doing a new thing. And i havent done anything to harm people. Thats talking bout Jesus and how did He prolong His days and see His offspring. There are two bodys. Our physical body and a glorified body. Two spiritual children sons and daughters of God and then there are sons and daughters of men and mortals didnt get born again. Being born again spiritually means you become immortal. David killed a false lion. When it talks about a lion do you really think its a real lion. No its talking about a human that acts like a lion. There are two lions. The One from lion of judah and then one false One trying to be like the real lion but fail. Everything is exposed and Gods people will celebrate soon. Stop trying to be my narrative only God has that abilty!
