@@user-jg6bd7se8u the difference is that people in Poland remember German tanks rolling into their nation while they were fighting with calvary, then after the war to have Russian tanks rolling down their streets as the Soviet Union put it's boot on their necks. Since then, Poland has quietly become a bit of a badass militarily, working very closely with the US in in Iraq and I believe they were also helping in Afghanistan.

It's also not a good idea to stand in front of an artillery piece when it fires. The blast from the muzzle is enough to make you permanently deaf. Even those behind the gun turn away and cover their ears when the lanyard is pulled.

In fact, the need for EXCALIBER rounds in Ukraine is forcing an increase in production, which will reduce the cost of each round some more. The reason for this is that the US folds a good portion of a weapon system's "development cost" into its production cost. This means that as we make more, the unit cost comes down.

@@pandaman1968 The round was developed for the US military using TAXPAYER funds and those cost reductions are generally written into EVERY Defense contract. They are non-negotiable for contractors dealing with public-sector funding. There seems to be this real misunderstanding about how procurement works. The government pays more initially to offset costs and then sees reductions on the backend. The manufacturer accepts this when they agree to develop the weapon.

The people of Western Democracies all across Europe are the ones stepping up with larger, heavier equipment. I am not pro nuclear, and to be clear, the 2 times we have come close to a nuclear exchange, in both cases it was Russian officers who refused to carry out the orders of their superiors, that prevented a nuclear holocaust. But, if the Americans had not dropped the bombs on WW2 Japan, because of the war mongers in Japan, 95% of the people of Japan would have been slaughtered with conventional weapons.. Their belief was that the Emperor of Japan was a GOD, and because of that, every last man, woman, and child would have been called upon to fight to the death, to protect the Emperor. So then, what if the bombs had not been dropped until several years later, and it was the Soviets instead, with a weapon that was a 1,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs? There would have been so many more bombs by then, that there would most likely have been a nuclear exchange on either side of the Korean borders, by both the USSR and the USA. Would the human race have survived? Or FAR worse, what if the Soviets wanted to be REALLY dramatic, and used multiple Tsar Bombas, as the 1st nuclear devices to be used. Would we have survived the exchange, or been propelled into Nuclear Winter?

Not possible. There are probably some being trained, but no way they will send them into combat in time to make a difference. It isn't like a HIMARs or tank, it takes over a year to even get close to ready and you are risking a 50M piece of equipment.

Ummm, Ukraine were the ones dragging their feet in joining NATO since 2008. Ukraine kept going back and forth on the matter despite the US warning Ukraine about Russia for 14 years now. Now that time has passed and Ukraine is now in a awkward position in this war. NATO set clear rules that no country can join NATO while at war with another. This is so NATO doesn't get taking advantage of during a crisis. Ukraine polls show only less then 30% of people wanted to join nato in 2012 and once it was 2018 it was more around 60% but Ukraine government decided against it and never applied to NATO. It wasn't til on 30 September 2022, Ukraine formally applied to join NATO, However NATO can't accepted it because like I said the Country is at war now and NATO can't accept it til the end of the war. However NATO is giving much weapons to Ukraine in support even tho it didn't have to. Funny thing is that if Ukraine listened to the US 14 years earlier then this war wouldn't happened. So no, it's not NATO's fault. Their are alot of grey area in the matter when Ukraine is also just as much to blame as NATO. Of course this does not excuse Russia for their actions hence why we support Ukraine. Good hunting Ukraine.

Excalibur is something else. I saw some fellas training Live fire with these and I could overhear them talking about direct hits over 15 miles away. Freaking crazy accurate.

Update as I just was at the BBC website. The British and USA special forces just finished training 12,242 Ukrainian soldiers on urban combat,sniper skills,use of night passive vision goggles,use of latest western weapons and omg they are armed to the tee. Another 700 where trained by the USA navy seals on underwater demolition and use of 2 manned mini subs in a Olympic size pool . One video shows over 5 thousand in an inspection formation and I am impressed. I myself spent 10 years in the USA army and after 5 yrs I went on to be a combat ranger. Spend 14 months in Afghanistan and 9 months in Iraq fighting evil like these orchs as the Ukrainians call them. There leaving for Poland tonight European time zone on USA and British cargo transport planes with a squadron of f15s. The EU and nato want to train at least 110 thousand Ukrainian and foreigners who willing volunteered to liberate Ukrainian from putas nazis. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 .

The Ukrainian people will experience harsh winter but I just hope their forces can dig in quite well because they are in their home soil, winter can be their friend, on the battlefield at least but I cannot see the civilians experiencing the same.

The Russians really do loom like a "Rag Tag" untit with very coordinating or battlefield experience.! They look scattered - disorganised and confused. Very sad as their probably just civilians that have been forced to the Front line.

I agree, to see the Russian Orthodox priests praise Putin makes my stomach turn. There is nowhere in the Christian faith where genocide is given a pass. Either the Russian orthodox priest is a complete coward or he is just another corrupt a-hole on Putins payroll. Either way, he will burn in hell for eternity if he believes in his own faith.
