Admiral Dragneel almost lost his life as he has a terrible case of motion sickness whenever he boards any ship. he is only able to temporarily withstand this thanks to doctor Wendy Marvell's drug. They later found out that the shard was actually Dragneel's distant relative.

Omg I heard “heartfillia” and the exact same thing went through my mind, been a fan of fairytale since I was a kid, every time I hear these references I have to double take, love them though

Took me a minute to recognize the names but the name of the ship gave it away. I should have guessed it was fairy tail because of all the dragon slaying. Love the creative twist to all of the lore vids.

I have a friend who doesn't play Stellaris but is a complete fan of Fairytail. I'm forwarding it to them.

Always like search for the rubricator especially the fight with shard, mainly cause I reanimate it after defeating it as well as getting the rubricator being the cherry on top

Zombie Shard sounds fun!

The Rubricator is one of my favorite relics because if u combine it with Arcane Deciphering you can acquire Stagnant buildings. I've got a Nourishment Center, which gave me +200 food per turn, AND a Class-1 Sigularity , which gave me +250 energy per turn.

this Artifact will come in handy for many operations once reprogramed or calibrated, along with weapons and tech manufacturing ideas incase we ran out things . From basic medical supplies to restocked energy rifles. Yes, I'm glad Dr.heartfilia along her assistant Happy got out with a great boon, along with the known 'dragonslayer' Dragneel.

I had this event quite early on my last playthrough. Had no idea what will happen, so I released space dragon on my planet without means to defeat the beast. My best fleet at that time had maybe 5k power. It said: "Omnomnomnom." I started new game yesterday. I had this on my third planet. Well... for no reason we will skip this dig site for some time. Probably an oversight from our science team. But we will get to it... later.

@@TheRedKing You have a chance of reviving enemy armies to fight for you, and at one point I had both Shard and the other dragon. I'm surprised some events also have a "send in the necromancers" option!

I love how these videos are always played extremely straight, including the ships and officers being named after some shamefully nerdy thing, acknowledging in the subtlest way that this is still a sci-fi game being played by some dork who loves fairytale. A detail that is totally lost on the noble admiral Dragneel.

Tbh, for me the relic world is the most valuable gain from this event chain.

True! I'll often settle the world and not do the digsite for 30 years, I do find the Rubricator handy for getting 100 artifacts for the final stage of the Art Megastructure though

Exactly the research world opportunity in early game is the main benefit. Minor artefacts are nice to top up to complete the "secrets" event chains, but in general in SP in the past, I have other relics with more immediate benefits so it's not frequently triggered. MP players tend to sell artefacts to build up for the first war, perhaps it's more useful then.

I love the rubricator lol probably my favorite cuz you get a cool fight with a space dragon and the resources to spam research arcan technology for those sweet fallen empire buildings

You can use it as a relic world for the research, resources and habitability, either by pausing the dig or leaving the dig site altogether until middle game. It's too valuable as a research world to ignore!

Owning the Rubricator means killing -Smaug- Shard. I am not killing this lovely creature.
