The piece of concept art where the Polaris is flying at you shooting its missiles is what made me start paying attention to SC many years ago. I am now the proud owner of a Polaris!

My luck on backing ships that get flight ready first is impeccable. (Reclaimer, 890J, and now Polaris. Once we have the Hull E my original fleet will be all in game.)

same here. Im in legatus now, and a few of us, actually picked up a few extra Polaris CCUs for $20, because of the massive price increase it will/should have

only thing i hate that i missed out on ( usually i dont care) but the sabre raven really bugs me. i had a summer job that payed well enough when it came out with the SSD thing but i had a surprise electric bill that was MASSIVE it was do to a fault in the electric box but still i had to pay it first and then they later payed me back but it was too late and that has always bugged me so much

it is going to be such a cool ship! a true capital ship but with a smaller crew requirement than something like the idris :) plus it looks absolutely goergous in game as well

@@Citizen_Kate The legionnaire is cool... but the legionnaire fitting in the Polaris hangar would be LEGEND!

Still waiting on my polaris as well.

I like that they've almost doubled it's cargo capacity, and the hangar is wide enough to accommodate a Legionnaire. Going to have more fun with the Polaris than I've had with the Carrack.

As soon as the legionnaire came out and it was confirmed to be an XS pad sized ship, I got it specifically for my Polaris. I'd long considered what I wanted on my polaris; a single fighter to back it up, a support ship to transport cargo, a medical evac... and then we got a hacking, breaching, boarding style drop ship that carries 8 people. It won't help in a fight, but it will get you onto enemy ships for bounty arrests, raids, hijacks, etc. Ultimately, I felt that if I wanted to provide any kind of force projection to support the Polaris, a single fighter wasn't necessarily gonna cut it (though it certainly can, and there are several fighters that are pretty damn dangerous) in the fleet engagement I'm interested in; instead, I intend to fly my Polaris as part of a task force alongside 2 subcap corvettes: The Perseus, and either a carrier Liberator with a small fighter wing or a Hammerhead screener.

So excited for this beauty

The scale in SC is something thats really hard not to appreciate. I mean, when you fight these things (reclaimer, idris) they dont feel that big.... except when you get out of your ship and walk up to them....

With the Polaris being $750, everyone and their moms and dads prob got one, pretty sure every streamer and KZreadr has one too lmao, I still love the Polaris but now I can’t wait for the Idris, kraken and Javelin just because it’s way more rare to own one lol

sadly no - at the moment it is only the exterior model in game (hence the blacked out windows) but it is in the development pipeline so should be with us by IAE/Citizencon i reckon :)

*Looks at server performance currently* *Looks at the massive asset and interaction dump a single capital ship will do to a server*. Ship gatherings with 890Js and carracks massively lagged out any area they are parked in... This ship coming in before a viable server meshing is working... will make for nice slide shows when its not a prop in a show hall. Just don't have a use for it.

The ship will come during IAE so patch 4.0/server meshing will be online by then. The interior will re-use assets from its bigger brother the RSI Bengal (a ship that's already done for SQ42).

I have a Polaris on order and yet, im not overly impressed, quite underwhelming i must say.....i really must. Textures look almost CHOCOLATE smooth....plushie smooth.

They only have the exterior done? Damn I'm glad I don't give a fuck about this game anymore.

It's weird that people still get excited about ships when the game has gone to such shit.
