As a horse rider myself...I can tell you all horse riders inc Jockeys and Competitors alike do and say no less...dont take this snapshot as the norm...Charles adored his horses. My experience has been that... Show Jumpers are the worse.

@@ZekeZyyypt Sadly it is ''Expected'' that heart attacks happen in Polo ponies. It it extremely upsetting. ~A horse will try his heart out for a rider, especially in the heat of competition. Harry too spurred a horse til the Pony's flanks bled, and pony reared with the gag.

I actually feel sorry for people who are raised in extreme privilege. I used to teach at a private school where the families were only upper middle class, nowhere near the level of the English aristocracy, but even so the student's little characters were ruined in a million ways by being spoiled.

He blew it when he married Diana and then treated her like he, and the rest of his family, did. They thought the quiet shy Miss Nobody would be easy to control but she surprised them, both with her popularity and her standing up for herself. He should’ve married Camille in the 60s or whenever it was that they “dated”.

I have no sympathy for him at all. He married Diana but for him it was a charade! He had been having* a long relationship with another man’s wife! Nowadays we expect our Royals to set a good example for everyone but no T Prince Charles.

But also the age difference between Charles and Diana is troubling to me: They met when she was 16 and he 28! (eventhough they married later)

Yelling at his horse - a glimpse of his real personality. He and Camilla have since married and of course Diana was killed (very conveniently) in a car crash. Camilla is a fellow fox hunter and laughed with glee as a bull was being tortured to death at a bullfight. This tells me all I need to know about her. Diana is back to haunt them in The Crown. I am glad he speaks out about the environment. It doesn't make any sense to me that he speaks to plants yet he will happily chase terrified foxes to the point of exhaustion and watch them being ripped apart by hounds.

Haven't we evolved beyond royalty and aristocracy, I think the only people who want to maintain it, are those who benefit from the false superiority it bestows. It's ridiculous to believe any of them are anything special, just because they were born into one family and not another. The lot of them are arrogant and grandiose, acting like they are better than everyone else. To me, Charles seems like a child in a strange looking man's body, with too much power and influence...he needs to grow up.

Good That Prince William is so different from his Father. Maybe because of the way Princess Diana brought up William.

Its interesting watching this made many years ago now Just how much more we the Public now know ... Its also interesting to me, to realise that Prince Charles was quite prepared to take the responsibility of his "failed" marriage on his own shoulders rather than...tell the whole story...as seedy as it is. Charles was not the only unfaithful Partner in that marriage, indeed the chances are he was not the first to have an extra marital partner...but, on that we dont know as neither he or Diana has ever said "who strayed first". WE now know that The Princess Diana had a number of affair's some of the men were married men. These affairs were both during and after her marriage to Prince Charles, starting with her first lover, the protection officer Barry Mannakee assigned to her by the Special Branch of the police task force. Diana was sighted as being the cause of the divorce between Julia and Will Carling. Julia made a statement afterwards...which was both damming and telling as to the predatory nature of Diana. Prince Charles was clearly well aware of everything that went on as was HM The Queen. Yet Charles never retaliated when he was being vilified as the uncaring beast of a husband. Nor did he allow his closest circle of friends to...give damming information during interviews with magazines or give information so someone who could write a book, as Diana did. It says a very great deal that Charles stayed silent. One can only assume he realised the only people who would really suffer alongside Diana would have been the children as it was Diana's sex life was plastered across the papers more than once...Not that Charles's wasn't as well. The difference being for Prince Charles there was only ever Camilla. whereas with Diana there were so many lovers. For someone would made it clear she adored "her boys" what she put those "boys" through in terms of humiliation via the press......is tout amount to child abuse. Protect them she did not.
