As a german citizen who cannot understand why having kings or queens, I assume it' s because a queen or king always stood with their british people whenever the neighbors from the south attacked this great brave island. The kingdom represents a national mentality: whatever happens we stay and stand, through the time. Also entertaining their people by very human stories, tragedies and scandals. She was third in line behind her uncle and father. When she was born it was presumed she wouldn't be queen because David, later Edward VIII, would produce heirs. If he had given up Wallis he most likely would have married and produced heirs. If he didn't, her father would have predeceased his brother and she would have become the heir presumptive. But at birth there was no reason to assume this would happen. So she was an unlikely queen.

He also has different versions to his own stories, so he doesn't really seem like a good source for your documentaries, specially after Lucia Flecha de Lima (a close friend of Diana) said that she never saw Diana treating him like a friend, he was her servant and she added that she never saw them talking in the bed like most of Diana's close friends used to do, in other words, he says that they were friends but the woman that was said to be like a second mother to Diana said otherwise....

I have always respected Queen Elizabeth, however I feel she should have handled the Charles/Diana situation differently. If I were the queen, I would have asked Charles “do you someday expect to be the King?” if you do, then you will cease your relationship with your mistress, you will mend your marriage to your wife. You will become the perfect husband and father and continue your royal duties. This is the only way you will ever become king. If he did not agree, I would have skipped over him and made his son William the King.

29:28 I always thought Diana's wedding dress was a disaster; a wrinkled shapeless billow. She deserved something that made her look elegant and beautiful, not a dress designed to be expensive. She certainly made up for it later & good for her. Paul Burrel is dumb, or arrogant enough to think his fake conversational dialogue w/ Diana sounds authentic 🙄

It’s laughable that you all are talking about how Meghan and Harry “disrespected” the Queen. She more than once questioned what the skin tone of their child would be because of Meghan’s ethnicity. She had no regard for how that would make them feel? This man stood up for his wife and his family and decided to chart his own path instead of trotting along amongst a bunch of hypocritical “royals”. This family is broken and they all need help.

Am I the only one who did NOT like Princess Diana's wedding dress? She was such a fashion icon and has worn so many amazing outfits and gorgeous gowns. (The "Revenge dress" was sublime!🥰) Her wedding dress just did not suit her. It was too big and too much. It practically engulfed her. I'm not talking about the incredibly long train. That was fine. I know she had lost quite a bit of weight prior to the wedding but even so if she hadn't, it was still too much material. Diana had delicate features and a more delicate dress would have looked lovely. Diana had gorgeous shoulders and a lovely neck and decolletage. An off-the-shoulders dress similar to Megan's would've been pretty. Also, Princess Zara's dress was pretty. I understand that ladies of the or marrying into the RF have to dress conservative but jeez, they don't have to be wrapped up like a Nun. 😆

Chuckles and cowmilla should have stepped aside, let William and Catherine be crowned. Folks try to argue ‘William is not ready, he has a young family,’ has no weight….. he’s been ready since a student at Eton, he spent as much time at Windsor with Granny as he did at his studies. As for ‘he has a young family’…. SO? His granny had two kids under five when she became Queen (at only 25) and had two more kids during her reign. @@twizz8754

Ok, am I the only 1 here who wonders “why does the British media insist on shoving their family down America’s throat?” I mean, let’s be honest here, there were very few people over there that your average American even knew, much less cared about. 1) Queen Elizabeth II; 2) Princess Diana and 3) Winston Churchill. All of whom are now dead. So why the obsession with making the very air they breathe (much less their hair style or fashion choices) a matter of “unprecedented” (your words, not mine) attention?
