My Scots Grandfather died in world war 1 in 1916 from injuries sustained on the Somme. He would have loved to see and hear this. SCOTLAND FOREVER!

I’m sure he would, but he’d be mortified to learn that all the Scots regiments had been cut to just one!

I'm living in Bavaria and it's always a great pleasure for me to listen and see "Scotland the Brave". Greetings to Scotland and hopefully I soon can visit this marvellous country and it's people.

He may be from the lowland division OR if his appendage hangs lower than a kilt he will be excused wearing a kilt.

@@michaeldicker4839 well if all his men are wearing kilts but him unless he is the only person from lowland division out of the entire parade then the second guess would be assumed correct

The white hackle is a clue - Royal Highland Fusiliers - 2 Scots - lowland regiment.

Why is one soldier wearing trousers while all the rest are in kilts ? Not trying to be smart here, just a question.

The regiment was formed from the original lowland and highland regiments that made up the Scottish Division . The Lowland regiments traditionally wore tartan trews rather than kilts . The Drum major in the bearskin wears trews because his battalion maintains the traditions of the Royal Highland Fusiliers.

Very, very sad. Seems like the UK government ants to defend itself with disposable machinery, too. Australia seems to be going the same way after announcing an indigenous missile production programme - presumably evening from very long range to very short range anti-everything missiles to frighten the Chinese off.
