The Royal Enfield Classic 350 goes to Northumbria Episode 6 - time to pack up and head for home
The time had come to pack up camp and head for home at the end of a fantastic tour in Northumbria.
I checked the camera and audio, and all was working fine, then as I set off and started filming.
It was only when I got home, I found the sound was missing from five minutes at the start and end of the footage.
The good part, it was still there for the rest of the ride. And it means I get to ride the section all over again.
Grab your cuppa and let’s ride back into summer.
Ride safe, Dave.

Hello. I've just recently found your videos and subscribed. Having thought about it, I believe the reason I like your videos so much is that they are pure "motorcycling". No BS, no fanfare, just getting on your bike and putting the miles down. I think a great many people are wrapped up in the ego of their motorcycle instead of the mystique, and really miss out on a lot. Take care, and be safe. I really enjoy your content. Dan
After a fairly traumatic year your videos have once again shown me that i need to bite the bullet (or should that be bite the classic) and get myself one of Royal Enfields finest to act as a form of therapy. Loved this series, great scenery coupled with a really nice, gentle and informative delivery from yourself, a brilliant relaxing watch backed by the lovely Ivy burbling away, thank you. I've visited my local RE dealer twice this week while i do my sums but hopefully i'll soon be joining you as a classic owner.

You gotta get one if at all possible. I garaged my CBR1000RR and now my Classic 350 is all I ride.
Well today (Saturday) here in Southern California has been cold and raining like hell so I made me a pot of coffee and stayed inside and watched all you guys ride around KZread. I would give anything to have roads like that to ride on. We have some nice roads in the mountains north of LA, south Orange County and north San Diego county. They are canyon twisties and what I cut my sportbike teeth on some 40 years ago but nothing like those beautiful rolling lanes you guys do. Thanks for entertaining me when I can't take my Classic out. Cheers from Cali 🏖
Glad you stopped at Naworth Castle and took that picture. It would be easy to ride right past that, because it just suddenly appears out of nowhere. I parked my Bonneville outside that last year and took a snap and that sold the bike immediately when I posted it on Facebook Marketplace. Like I said in other vids in this Northumbria series, this is my backyard and where I do all of my riding, so I was especially keen to see this. By the way - you ride right past the 'Our Yorkshire Farm' where the Owen family on Channel 5 have their place. It is on the Nateby to Rieth road. Middle of nowhere and like the backside of the moon.
You have done great job in show casing some great little used roads in the north of England. At the same time proving a simple low powered motorcycle is more than capable for the job. It’s just a question of accepting what each bike can do & working with it. I hope the new bike proves to be as good as Ivy.
Enjoyed your little trip mate. I've had my little Enfield classic red chrome for a couple of years now after down sizing from a Kawasaki Vulcan VN900. Best move I've done in 50 years other than when I started trials riding on my OSSA mar in the 70s Relaxed let the world go by minor road riding is now my pleasure and these little plodders are superb for it.
14:40 Wow, what a road . Watching this in mid-January makes me really miss the green in the trees and warm weather. The classic looks of your motorbike next to the castle was a perfect photograph. Thanks for sharing your travelling 😀👍
Hey there, I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. I realize how much effort you have to put into them to post this kind of content for us and we all really do appreciate it. The land that you’re riding through is absolutely gorgeous and, you are the soul inspiration for me buying my own royal Enfield classic. I got the chrome red bike! Keep up the good work and thank you again!
I’m gradually getting through your videos and enjoying every one of them. Lovely to see Ivy doing her thing. What happened to her was terrible. I hope you get that same bond with Betsy. Ride safe and keep the videos coming. They are great👍
Small country big view.
Thank you for today's enjoyable ride, Dave. It's always a delight to see the constant and often dramatic changes that the British countryside presents us with. So much variety in a comparatively short distance; such a contrast to this part of Western Australia! If I could, I'd send you some of our weather; it was 45C last weekend, though today is a much more acceptable 32C. Stay warm...
Hi Dave, very enjoyable. Bye the way you have been on the road that runs from Nateby over the moors towards Reeth but in the other direction in your Lakes tour episode two. Edward.
Can’t wait for your new ride outs, happy new year.
I have snow outside at the moment, so this has cheered me up no end! Thanks Dave!

Hi mate, you're welcome 😁 I bet you are like me and can't wait for spring 😎🌞
Cracking ride - really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Great tour video, thanks, keep them coming.
Great series Dave thank you for posting it really enjoyed it I don,t know how you come across such gorgeous quiet roads. Days are getting a bit longer daffs will not be long before they are out hopefully it,ll warm up a bit soon so you can get out and do us some more filming. Ride safe Martin
Thanks for a truly enjoyable ride. Isn’t it great when you get the road all to yourself and you can just amble along? All the best from NZ.
Absolutely love being "aboard" on these jaunts with "Ivy",,,....Amazed at how the audio sounds so crisp and clear. I have Parkinsons Disease, and I'm not getting out these past couple years as I have in the past on my KLR, and I'm seriously considering purchasing a 350 Classic after going to the dealership here in Kentucky and sitting on them. You've inspired me to not give up on my motorbiking, and i have to admit that the PD all but disappears when I'm riding. Thanks so much for posting these videos...I look forward to them weekly!!,,,,, Joe
Eyup Dave. Another very nice video. Not be long before you can just carry on into them there hills. Thoroughly recommend retirement. Si thi. Tom
Absolutely stunning views
Great ride Dave , I'm sat here relaxing with a JD and coke and thoroughly enjoyed that , thanks for taking us along with you, they're excellent roads through Richmondshire , we've been up there a few times to Middleham Castle and village and along the Cam gill road to Starbotton and Kettlewell , That was a great series of rides 👌 Cheers Mel 🍻
Good to see you still riding even if its on a smaller bike, top video while it was warmer, unlike now in January as we have only managed a couple of rides out on the Triumph.
Absolutely stunning, what a road that was high up in the hills, really enjoyed that video, the first part through that parkland was nice but it just got better and better. Cheers for sharing your trip with us👍
top drawer mate !
What a pleasant 8mls ride on that open country with views.what a blast.👍🏍
Great video.
You and ivy once again have not disappointed, beautiful little lanes and the trees are gorgeous, enjoying every minute thankyou 😊👍
Well mate have you been out on the new bike yet? You also mentioned that you would be retiring, are you using all the time you've saved over the years now. You'll find it's a lot better club, it's the time for yourself club All the best and keep up with the channel.
Hi that bloke on a moter bike, those roads you found were really great and the scenery was very good and even though you had trouble it is a really great vid
On roads like that my BSA C-15 250 would feel right at home 🏠.
Morning Dave I’ve really enjoyed this series, pity about the loss of sound but it didn’t spoil it at all. Really looking forward to some better weather so I can get out again. Any idea what the problem with the sound was? 👍
My URAL side car outfit is as wide as the road. I would be scared of being sideswiped by a passing car.
It is a shame that those 350 are not 500 cc .It would give them a few extra hp that they are lacking.
Do you think 💬🤔 that you will still have the motorcycle in 25 years?

I hope i will still be able to ride, or even walk. I will be 90 years old then. Ride safe, Dave
