The roots of Suiseki as Seen through Tanseki - In Search of the Great Stones of a 100 Years After -

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This time, WABI CHANNEL introduces Tanseki, the roots of suiseki.
The members of the board of directors and adviser of the Nippon Suiseki Association taught us the rules and etiquette of Tanseki while actually exploring the riverbanks, as well as how to enjoy Tanseki.
We hope that even one person who is interested in suiseki will be able to experience its roots.
*This time the shooting was done on a riverbed.
In shooting the video, we took all possible precautions in terms of weather, equipment, physical condition, etc.
Tanseki is done in a natural activity, so please be as prepared as possible when you actually do it, and stop immediately if you have any problems.

Thank you for this video, very satisfying just watching you do it. I have 2 stones myself that mean a lot to me and me alone if no one else. Keep up the good work. Steve.

Thank you for renewing this beautiful memory. When I came to Tokyo from Italy, I always made tanseki on the Tama River. I found good suiseki and had daiza made. No matter what you find, the important thing is to look. Unfortunately, this year I will not be able to come to Tokyo to visit the exhibition, although there will be one of my stones on display. So, thank you for this video to the three Navigators today.

This is some real fascinating facts about finding a stone. Mr. Onda is a great teacher of the art.
