Do your own research, in the end, her wealth exceeded the GDP of a few small countries. And by the by, Hitchens was neither my father, nor my mother, nor anyone related to me. And guess what? Someone who used the sick to get donations to give to the vatican. She never helped the poor! Made them to suffer in their diseases and other ailments while she raised money for the vatican nothing was used to get medicine to the sick and dying people in her facility. She was a monster!

there are people out there that get so deluded when they love jesus too much and start thinking they are doing a great thing for jesus by letting people suffer in pain because its a glorifying thing to do.

There are those who hate Jesus so much that they insult His charitable saints under the guise of claiming them not doing good enough, even though they themselves, as the accusers, have done little or nothing to aid the poor and suffering. We help the suffering the best we can. We don't insult those who did so. If you think you can do a better job than go for it. But I hope that people don't insult you for trying.

She was the most cruel and sadistic person I can think of. Leaving poor and sick people to suffer because it 'brought them closer to their saviour', what a sickening idea that is! How dare you call this vile, this revoltingly evil monster of a woman 'Most compassionate and kind'? You should be ashamed of yourself, for you desecrate those who painfully suffered and died in her homes, those children who could have been saved, yet were left alone in the dark without medication, dying of cancer and other diseases in the name of a semi-intellectual fart of an idea, written down by illiterate, desert-dwelling tribesmen. It’s common knowledge and I believe public record that this ugly little charlatan of a woman did not serve the poor, but rather, use them as her ticket out of Calcuttan poverty herself. Based upon a report by Indian Author and Physician Aroup Chatterjee, who, himself worked at one of “Mother Teresa’s” institutions, the well know atheist and journalist Christopher Hitchens produced a documentary on Agnes Bojaxhiu, which you can still watch on KZread today, and I invite you to do so. You may also want to read Hitchens followup book on the subject matter, “The Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice”, which also makes for a very interesting read indeed. I will not get into the many wrongdoings of this Woman here, as I don’t have the time to talk about these subjects adequately, but the two sources I listed above are great if you want to see where I’m coming from.

There's really no use insulting her looks, she was an old, wrinkling lady, every old person goes through that phase. She was once very pretty. However, she is known as having beauty within. True beauty is within. No one is perfect, but denying the people she helped is ludicrous and a threat to society. You really are gullible if you believe KZread documentaries, made by bigots who have nothing better to do but hate on successful people. These bigots claim to be polymaths and experts, but they twist the truth to fit their own petty opinions. I'm an atheist myself and dislike religions, and she was by no measure perfect, but she put a lot of money towards charity, despite what the haters say, and I don't get why they oppose her paying for heart surgery, When you sustain a health condition, anyone is going to pay for healthcare and keep themselves healthy, so that they can help others.

@@maryfiaola3686 the Church is one body in Christ. Just as we are obliged to pray FOR one another here on earth, the Church in heaven prays for us. The Church is one. Death does not separate us from the love of Christ or each other because Christ has but one body. He is the head and we are the members. Asking another member to pray for us is legit we do it with one another all the time. Death no longer has no power over the body of Christ.

She devoted her life to the poor, opening her first Missionaries of Charity home in 1950s Calcutta, and going on to open hundreds more across the world. As word of her mission spread, it caught the public imagination and millions of dollars began to pour in, all of which went to help those who needed it most. At least, that’s the official version. The reality is far grimmer. According to those who’ve volunteered there, Mother Teresa’s missions are squalid cesspits run along violent, authoritarian lines. There are reports of unruly children being tied to beds and beaten, of outdated equipment not being replaced, and of needles being reused in countries with high HIV infection rates (such as Haiti) until they were so blunt they caused pain. All of this wrapped up in a culture of unquestioning obedience, secrecy, and control that is said to resemble a cult. This might all be okay if the Missionaries were doing some good, but they’re not. In 1991, German magazine Stern revealed that only 7 percent of donations to the organization were used for charity. The rest was funneled into secret bank accounts or used to build more missions. There are reports that missions won’t even buy bread to feed their inmates, preferring instead to rely only on donated food. And where does all this money come from? Well, some of it comes from regular, kind-hearted folk giving what they can. A heck of a lot more came from some of the most evil men who ever lived. Mother Teresa herself personally took large donations from the psychopathic Haitian dictator “Baby Doc,” publicly defending his blood-soaked rule in return. In the 1990s, fraudster Charles Keating donated $1.25 million of stolen money to the Missionaries. When asked to return the fraudulent money, Mother Teresa simply stayed silent. Mother Teresa undoubtedly did some good things in her time, but they may yet be overshadowed by her awful legacy. In 2010, Forbes revealed that the first home she set up had a mortality rate of over 40 percent. To paraphrase an old saying, if the poor have friends like her, they no longer need enemies.

@Benedictia Bovas Well, as it is right now, im a 17 years old student growing up in the upper class of german society, but I - on several occasions throughout the year - donate parts of why I can to charitable organizations, be it our local shelter for the poor, our animal shelter or organizations that help reduce poverty in other countries. I do this because I personally think that we - the western world, that is - are to blame for the unfathomable exploitation of other countries, and I think that we ought to give back some of what we took to them, whilst also trying to maintain at least some of the things we have achieved here. However, even if I was to do nothing of the sort, I would not be on equal footing with this vile, disgusting hag. She didnt to "nothing", she did something. All of it to increase suffering where it could be avoided. By means of cruelty and inhumanity, this woman amassed a fortune that is equivalent to the GDP of a minor country. Does that seem "humble" to you?
