I love Greg's sarcastic lines.
I love it at 26:36 when Greg pulls Chris R away and puts the gun to his own head
Why bother with a script? They had Tommy on stage. You just let that man go and he'll create another masterpiece.

Oh my god. Tommy is actually a comedic genius in this. This is brilliant.
Tommy here is actually acting pretty normal. He also is being funny many times, but not pathetic funny.. He should try to make more of the "so bad it's good"
@icorrectly
2 жыл бұрын
The thing is, he didn't intend to make movies and shows that are so bad they're good, so I don't think he knows how to catch that ironic lightning in a bottle. If he tries to make something serious, we get what we want 😂 Have you seen Wiseau's show "The Neighbors"? It's a trainwreck and I like it, even though it's arguably worse than The Room.
@icorrectly
2 жыл бұрын
@L.O. Productions second account I don't know if "nobody" ever intends to do that. Technically that's what Tommy's play is doing, mimicking the trainwreck that is The Room after retroactively spinning how bad it was as intentional.
@icorrectly

@L.O. Productions second account Maybe. Reality TV and social media stars make me wonder about that. You might create trainwreck content just by being yourself while owning that fact.
Tommy Wiseau is such a precious asset to this world; I’m sure they miss him back in his home planet. 🪐
36:25 Greg Sestero's a fucking legend ROFL
I bet Dracula regret his desision now
Haha, Tommy making fun of himself. Gotta love it
HAHA what a play Mark!!
I love how defeated Johnny is in this version right from the get go, and 13:58 perfectly shows this and never fails to make me laugh 😂

I've had idols all my life, rock stars, composers, film directors, war heroes, historical figures. Now I am a 30 year old man, and I genuinely believe that Tommy Wiseau will now be my only idol for the rest of my life XD
I am delighted to see there is a play for the Room.
In film studies we had to choose a film to write the screenplay for, so I chose the room haha

You ever been in a good mood with your friends and you’re all just joking around and giggling nonstop? It’s a lot like that.
Outstanding: Tommy, Mark, the other cast members are excellent, the additional scenes, the ad-libs, I loved it all. If it were better shot, I would pay for a DVD of this.

Tommy seems surprisingly self-aware. At least for someone capable of making a film like The Room.
...so is Tommy Wiseau basically in on the joke now?

Nah, Seth Rogen said in some interview he asked Tommy the same thing, to which he replied that he had learned to see it a different way. More as a comedy and began to advertise it as such...though it was not supposed to be... originally.

I loved this Room theatre play. I would love to see this come to all theatres. I also want Tommy Wiseau to make the Room into a musical, since everything Tommy Wiseau does turns into a masterpiece
God damn this is incredible.
I wish they brought back the entire crew from the room lol I like this one too

7 years until youtube recommends this! Where has this been all my life?
Just from the audience and the actors alone tell me that a theater screening of the movie or this play will be the time of my life.
Tommy seems like a genuinely good guy.
True story - I was feeling really down today, I watched this and I can't stop laughing........Thank you
30:50 the out of state bank line and Greg's reaction is outstanding

Thanks for posting this. You ve made my day
Ha ha ha! What a story.
As a fan of the film I feel sad for Greg and Tommy. It’s like they sold their souls out there on stage. Tommy accepting what the audience truly thinks of his work and Greg losing whatever remaining respect he had for this. That’s life.
@the0rangekind

you can either look at it like it was a terrible misunderstanding and tragedy or, like tommy, a miraculous opportunity to further his career. Yes, it's not how he imagined it- "being taken seriously as an actor and filmmaker" and now he's a "parody" of himself. But he seized the opportunity to benefit from all this attention and he and greg have been able to carve out a comfortable lifestyle and career from it. Who's really losing out here? Tommy? Greg? Yea it's a digression from their original ambitions but it's far from terrible or a failure.

Whether or not the audience is interpreting The Room in the way he intended, everyone in that theater is there because they love it and they love Tommy.
Oh god the audience. The show was brilliant but people at front were so bad
Claudette is hot
This made my night.
The passive aggressiveness that is radiating off of Tommy really tears me up inside. I think this is due to the rude audience. I feel so bad for him.

The guy who is playing Chris R is amazing.
"And chairs reading from the script". I was very disappointed not to see talking chairs!
Why Greg and Tommy is so aggressive and pissed off ? Hahahahaha
Claudette is looking good😍
Maybe The Room takes place in the future if they cure breast cancer every day
and still, with the manuscript in hand.....the acting here is more convincing than in the movie :)
Made the mistake of watching the whole thing of this in the part of my college that has horrible WiFi. Not the best idea but worth it 😂
Good to see you Dracula. and Denny at 5:02 lmao

I would of loved to of seen James, Dave Franco & Seth Rogen make a cameo to show the world there was no malice in making the Disaster Artist.

Greg what are you doing to yourself...

The level of romper-room fuckery going on in the audience is far too much.

oh hai mark!
Peter Steele has a bro
This has so much potential of being great. The audience ruins this and Tommy ruins it when he tries to be funny in every scene... Tommy is only funny when he doesn't know he's being funny. This is still watchable... but would be so much greater if the audience piped down a bit and Tommy just acted without trying to get a laugh.
