Charlie was a very under rated member of the band . To me he was the powerhouse with the drum beat .

Today I watched about 10 versions of the Stones playing this song since the early 60s. I love that this one reinterprets it into a Spanish theme from the original Indian version. Mick is like a matador.

Why we will always love the Rolling Stones? It's been a while since the Stones have recorded anything memorable .We love them for what they represent in our lives.Some years ago, when the Stones came to Brazil, I saw both their gigs It struck me then that the reason we still take the old material so seriously is because Jagger takes it seriously himself. He sings each song like he’s just released the record last week and puts so much effort into each performance that you can’t help being seduced by his charisma. Like "Paint It Black" released on 7 May 1966 . I was 14

The intro of Keith is a pure marsterpiece 🤩

In this performance, Keith plays Brian's sitar part with a guitar of an unusual tone. Recently, Ronnie has played that part. Must be that "ancient form of weaving" that they do superbly.

I remember this concert very well, at the Parc des Princes stadium. I went there on Friday evening. And also on Sunday evening. It was fabulous. I am an old fan of Paris Saint Germain soccer team. And I'm proud that "my" stadium was also used for such fabulous events.

A signature song that will always define the stones and the 60’s.

For me, the best song of The Rolling Stones. Long life to them and the rock and roll. I would have liked this song in its original version to have a music video with scenes like those of the Vietnam War and/or World War II and the occasional scene from this great group. I feel very sad for Charlie Watts' death, because like him, there's no another greater drummer, Watts was, is and will be the best drummer of the world. R.I.P., Charlie Watts, God has to you in his glory.

The decision to add sitar to Paint It Black was made because of the success of Norwegian Wood by the Beatles a few months before. It seems the Stones were always playing catch up with the Fab Four.
