The Role of Women in the Church (1 Tim. 2:9-15)

The past 30-years has seen the rise of prominent female preachers. Many of America's largest churches now comprise teaching teams which include women. But, is that God's design? In this message, we'll study what the Scriptures say regarding feminism and the role of women in the church.

I really appreciate this sermon, thank you. My husband and do not agree with how many churches allow women at the pulpit to teach over men and Bible studies. I have seen, instead of the older women teaching the younger women in a women’s ministry, like Paul says to do, I see the women wanting to teach over the entire congregation and neglecting women’s ministry. My husband and I feel strongly that this is not right. Thank you for shedding light on this controversial topic and for helping me feel like we are not the only ones who see a problem with this. It’s in so many churches and denominations unfortunately where the culture overpowers Gods Word, which should never be. That’s what we love so much about the seventh day Sabbath, the 4th commandment. God never changes and the Sabbath reminds us of what He did at Creation. The Papacy and traditions try to remove the blessing and sanctification God did for the sabbath day at creation, but it is still there and will always be there for His people. Thank you for being an answer to prayer for me to continue learning and confirming on this subject. God Bless & I pray those who don’t yet know about the Sabbath truth, the Spirit reveals and you are blessed by it as we have been.

What a powerful biblical sound teaching of this topic, yet only 8 comments. Speaks volumes of where we are in the world.

This is what I have tried to explain to my son...every women who has had a leadership role in the Bible was because men would not step up to their God appointed role. If women have to leas it says a lot about the condition of the men in Christ. Or the man in the household. Or the man in the home economy....it shouldn't be.

Amazing teaching. Thank you Pastor Wood. It hits all the things that’s wrong with the society today. It’s the rebellion in the heart that is to blame. Pray that you will continue to be bold teaching the Word of God.🙏❤️

8:25-8:40 So true today. Paraphrased - "Do you base your life off of God's Word, or your feelings." This comes up all the time when trying to share the Truth with Christians when they are practicing traditions of men, like celebrating Easter. My college dictionary defined Easter as a Pagan holiday, observed on the first Sunday, following the first full moon, following the spring equinox. Easter is not a feast day of the LORD as defined in Leviticus 23. Or just as disappointing, calling Easter "Resurrection Sunday." Christ became our Passover! The feast we are told to observe forever. Also, Purim comes to mind. Have you ever considered the accounts in Esther don't agree with Daniel? Who was the king's right hand man, Daniel or Mordecai?
