@Blunt .. i enjoyed every shot of the video for someone that dont really shoot rocket in this game but understand the sight system of every sight luncher its really amazing how he got some shot and how he take the time to aim and dont miss cause its really easy to miss, when i dont take the time my character just seems to do a heart atack at the moment i shoot and my sight go off by a little bit and miss xD also we can clearly see the understanding of damage model of the vehicle in the first clip, 1st shot in the engine deck 2nd the finish (aim in the middle cause he knows he dont want to take too much time and to get more chance of not missing)

I just started playing Squad and during one of my first few matches I managed to hit a moving helicopter from about 1500m in the tail section with a LAW but it didn't kill it. It just turned around and immediately went back to base to repair.

Most of the rockets explode after 500-800m, hitting a moving chopper a km and a half away literally isn’t possible unless you used a tow or recoilless gun like the Gustav or spg9. But let’s just say you did, a single rocket from any rpg to the tail will destroy the stabilizer and you’d have gotten the kill unless it was low enough to safely crash into the ground. I got 900+ hours and main AT and heli pilot.

@@BailableBody After going on the test range I figured out the range was probably ~500m. I barely have 30 hours invested into the game so proper ranging is still beyond me. The rocket did at least hit the tail because there was a visible explosion, a teammate confirmed the hit, and the helicopter reacted to the hit and retreated. I'm still impressed I manage to hit a flying target so far away, since I've been struggling to hit targets flying directly above me since then.

I look forward to seeing more of this.

Russian optics have built in ranging displays. Additionally, players who play long enough will know what grid they're looking at, and can from the map calculate the distance. Whats more impressive is he corrected for the height differential.

@@Hamun002 The elevation gradient is less than 5% for that shot, and the correction is lesser than the total height of the target. It's a great shot, but he didn't particularly need to pay attention to that.

@@erikbukovac5944 it is very true but the point is not that they are for milsim because the truth is that most of us are not military and many do not want to be, they just want to play, just play I do not think that the real balance exists in a game but the least is to zoom in part of reality in a game allows for a certain type of self-balancing derived from individual abilities and a true social game based on compensating for those personal weaknesses through team play

I just wish more people learned how to range with the rpg, scopes and binos. Once you learn it, making long range shots is so much easier. Pro tip if you go exactly 500m from your target with the rpg, you can get it to airburst over the enemy, inflicting max damage from the timed explosive
